Wiley India JMM Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Kumar raised pointed questions in Upper House today on Election Commission of India’s letter related to Rajya Sabha poll anomalies, prompting party general secretary Supriyo Bhattacharya back in Ranchi to write to governor Droupadi Murmu urging action.

Wiley India MP Kumar asked the Upper House whether the ECI asked for action against ADG (Special Branch) Anurag Gupta, referring to allegations against the senior policeman of lobbying before Rajya Sabha polls in 2016. Wiley India “More than five weeks ago, the ECI asked the state to take action against the duo under Sections 171B and 171C of IPC, Prevention of Corruption Act and relevant sections of code of service conduct.
