Surgical Suture Packing Machine India
Surgical Suture packing machine is used for packing surgical sutures. It has three main components: Stitch Length Storage System Layout, Rotary Turret 12, Plate Element 150, and Pivot Arm 254. Manual assembly requires an operator to select a suture assembly from a bundle, orient it with his fingers, and in then pull the length of the stitch. Manual assembly also requires the human operator to manually pick up the packaging machine and place a needle in the needle parking area. The operator must apply enough force to distort the needle parking to ensure proper suture placement. Also, small sizes will bend the needle thread.
Disposition of Suture Length Storage System
A dissection workstation for a surgical suture packaging machine includes a vacuum-controlled suture capture device under the tool nest 60. Depending on the length of the suture, the device applies or retracts a cover over the needle and suture. In the illustrated embodiment, the dissection tool includes an index disk-shaped plate 112 with multiple circumferentially spaced cover receiving regions.
An adjustable vacuum nozzle 216 on the dissection workstation applies a vacuum to maintain tension on the suture. The surgical needle 210 and the end of the attached suture are placed within the trays. The suture is allowed to move relative to the workstation after being wrapped around a surgical needle. In one embodiment, the dissection workstation is configured to automatically package sutures in the suture packaging device.
Operation of the Rotary Turret 12
A rotary turret 12 in elastomer surgical suture packing machine is a device for grasping and wrapping surgical sutures. The turret is extended outward by a rotating tray and a packing tray. Once the suture is captured, it passes through the rotating turret to the next step, which is indexed by the rotating disc. A further device imparts a vacuum condition to the outwardly extending length of the suture.
As the rotary turret moves forward, the tool nest moves to a further workstation. The rotary turret transmits motion to a portion of the tool housing while the disc remains essentially vertical. This movement allows a transfer device to place the surgical needle and attached suture into the corresponding tool nest. Once the rotary turret is advanced, the transport device engages a suture-engaging structure and transports the tray containing the needle and suture to the next station.
Plate Element 150
Suture packing machines use a plate element, which is placed inside the device. This placement is important because it helps prevent tight bends in the sutures and facilitates easy withdrawal from the suture package. Typically, a plate element comprises several layers and this allows the machine to pack sutures in a variety of ways. The following is a detailed description of the components that make up the Plate 150 element.
Suture packing machines generally include multiple stations of sequential operation. The first station includes a carousel structure. The turntable element slices the lowest packing disc in a stack of discs. The resulting package is then covered and produced. Once completed, the package containing the finished product is removed from the packaging machine and then further processed or stored. The stitch pack produced by the machine is then entered into the next workstation.
Swivel Arm 254
A robotic suture packaging machine is configured with a pivot arm assembly 192. The pivot arm has a hinged design that allows it to pivot up and down to place and remove suture packages from a plate element 150. The pivot arm is attached to a free end 250, which has a handle part 252;
The tool nest 4 rotates with the molded disc 12. It positions the needle 28 for winding operation and secures the thread to the position tensioner 185. The tool nest includes an optical and mechanical artificial vision system for examining needle placement. The molded tray is covered with a paper label cover 71 and secured with locking tabs 72. The unloaded package 73 is placed in a waste bin. Complete packaging can be removed for manual inspection. A Surgical Suture packing machine is a piece of equipment that is used to package surgical needles and sutures into packages. The machine is composed of a frame that includes a top, bottom, and sides. The top of the frame includes a disc member that can be rotated to various index positions. The disc also has a nest frame that holds the tool nests.
