Suriya, the renowned South Indian actor, is known for his exceptional acting skills. Recently, the teaser of his upcoming film 'Kaanguva' was released, leaving fans astonished with his transformation. Christopher Kanagaraj revealed that the period portions of the film were shot in the natural light of Kodai Kanal and Rajamundry's jungles. The team had to trek to the jungle daily, as there was no transportation available. Suriya's makeup routine took up to two hours each day. The current portions feature scenes with Suriya and Disha Patani, shot in Goa, Ennore, EVP Studios, and Kodai Kanal. The same camera team that worked on blockbusters like 'Baahubali,' 'Kaappaan,' 'Pushpa,' and 'RRR' was employed for this film. The shooting is set to conclude by November, with a planned release in April 2024. Suriya's 42nd film is witnessing meticulous preparations. Fans have already tagged it as a potential blockbuster. The project of Surya 36 is getting much sensational every day with back to back announcements that are completely putting the entire town in a state of awe.

Recently it was announced that Sai Pallavi will be playing the female lead role in this movie, directed by Selvaraghavan.

Nevertheless, Vignesh Shivan has just taken the incident from newspaper cutting and wrote his own version of the tale. In this way, Thaana Serndha Koottam will be completely different from Special 26.”

Surya also admitted that after watching the special screening of Thaana Serndha Koottam, many congratulated him saying that they are now happy to see the same old Surya after a very long time.

In 1973, at the age of 8, he got a chance to act in the movie Poratam directed by Kori Ramakrishna. Mahesh Babu also had success in various films as a child actor. Breaking all records in the Telugu film industry, Pokiri was able to achieve the fame of the highest grossing film. For the second time, Mahesh was able to bag the Filmfare Best Actor Award (Telugu) for his performance in the film. Trisha was co-starring with Mahesh in Shinikudu released this year. In 2006, Mahesh worked in the Telugu film industry to help make films. He acted in the movie Athidhi directed by young director Surender Reddy. Amrita Rao was her co-actress in this film. After Atithi was released, Mahesh started giving more time to the family. Because his wife's father fell ill and died. Shortly afterwards, his mother-in-law died of cancer. The makers of Suriya starrer upcoming Tamil film Soorarai Pottru have teased fans with a making video. The 4-minute long video gives us a glimpse into Suriya’s unbelievable transformation for his character in the movie. Directed by Sudha Kongara, Soorarai Pottru is based on the life of Captain GR Gopinath – founder of the budget airline Air Deccan.

The film chronicles the journey of Captain Gopinath from the age of 19 till he was in his 40s. The video showcases how Suriya went from a beefed up guy to someone leaner but muscular. Sudha Kongara is seen saying she wanted Suriya’s character to not look like a body builder. Suriya’s trainer is seen saying that building mass is easier because you know what to do. However, this process was challenging as it required Suriya to completely change his physique.

  “I kept saying I wanted him (Suriya) to look leaner and he tried to convince me to go with his look back then. But I told him I wanted him to look even leaner. He kept joking that I’m making him to stop eating to get the look,” Sudha said.

The video shows Suriya working out like it’s no big deal. From sprinting effortlessly to doing pushups and burpees like he was born to do it, he makes everything look so easy. Talking about his look, the costume designer says he wears only four shirts and three trousers in the film. All his shirts were tailor-made to fit him perfectly.

Sudha says that he kept dropping weight at such a fast rate that the shirts became loose when they did a costume check two days before the shoot. When Sudha told Suriya that she wanted him to play the 19-year-old version of his character, he was taken aback. “I can’t play a 19-year-old,” Suriya told Sudha repeatedly.

It was a major challenge for Suriya, according to his trainer, to make him look two decades younger. The trainer said Suriya would start doing body weight training wherever and whenever possible. In between shots and breaks, he’d would be working out and continuing to lose weight.

Towards the end of the video, Sudha said she was shocked to see Suriya actually look like a 19-year-old. “It’s easier to lose weight and have a physique of a 19-year-old but it’s not easy to look 19. When he dropped weight, his skin didn’t look saggy. I was shocked because I don’t see such things happen around me”

The project, which marks Suriya’s maiden collaboration with a female director, also stars Aparna Balamurali, Paresh Rawal and veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu in crucial roles. Produced by Suriya’s 2D Entertainment, the film marks the southern debut of well-known Bollywood producer Guneet Monga, who will be co-producing this project. The film, which marks the maiden collaboration of Suriya and Sudha, has music by GV Prakash Kumar.

Actors Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer upcoming Telugu intense romantic drama has been titled Love Story. The first-look poster was unveiled on the occasion of Sankranti.The project, directed by Sekhar Kammula, marks the maiden collaboration of Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi. However, Kammula and Sai Pallavi are joining hands for the second time. Vigil (Bigil), Will Vijay Replace the Two Heroes?

This coming 27th October, Tamil mass star Vijay Ilayapathy’s ‘Bigil’ is coming to the theatres and on the same day, we’ll have the Telugu dubbing version ‘Vigil’ coming to the theatres in the Telugu States.

The Telugu poster of the movie has come out featuring Vijay in two different avatars. One character as Michael and the other as Bigil. Though several posters came out with the Tamil title, this one is the first one with the Telugu title.

Vijay’s market is gradually improving in the Telugu States and therefore, his Tamil movies are being planned for a simultaneous release in the Telugu Staes, as well. If this movie manages to entertain the audiences, this would be certainly up the ante for Vijay in Tollywood.

When Tamil heroes like Suriya and Vishal are losing their market in Telugu, Vijay seems to be taking the right steps to replace them. Let’s see if ‘Vigil’ can help him. For the time being, we say that Vijay’s ‘Vigil’ poster was good enough.
