I did try with Kid!Mitaka, but I really wasn’t happy with it but I also couldn’t really come up with an alternative... so just have the concept art. 

Regarding the alternative design, I want to do more research on Nomadic cultures before properly inserting them into my arts...

Where exactly is Mitaka vacationing?

For real, I have no idea, I only wanted to draw some ocean and a relatively warm climate with hills and probably an old ruin made from sandstone or something... It’s certainly got a Mediterranean feel to it, like some place in Italy or the Côte d'Azur, Saint Tropez, you get the gist. (I hope)

Since I knew I didn’t have the time (and also not the energy) to scan and colourize a pencil/ink drawing on the compuer, I elected using pastels, because if I have them, why not use them? My skills for concrete motifs aren’t that good and especially not in this meduim, I usually draw only abstract art with these, but it was fun using them. (Even if I feel as if my lung is full of colourful dust lol)

Scan and photo for Day 5 of the Mitaka week

Apparently some moldy cucumbers have been complaining that I’ve been putting Mitaka into Kimonos too often (why the flying Wookie am I even listening to them anyway?), so have him be in a western Style dress. (Is it better now?)

Since I am in Japan right now, I can collect more data and get more inspiration for Kimonos anyway. Muahahaha, I have already planned something for when I’m back~

I also tried to evoke a more Degas-like feel with this one, but I think I failed. Horribly.

Well.

I’m still actually happy with how it turned out. (Except for the arms maybe. It’s just an optical illusion that they are this thin. Yep, optical illusion.)

OTP Questions: Hitaka, 1, 4, 7 and 13? =D

1: Who spends almost all their money on the other?Hux, because he doesn’t feel like he’d need it, his mom (Brendol’s kitchen maid, now master chef) has her own fancy restaurant AND married FO top lawyer Maratelle Hux (who wouldn’t be a top lawyer if she didn’t get some sum from that divorce) and aunt Rae is still well and working (and trying to fight Snoke on every High Council Board Meeting) and he thinks he’s going to die first anway, so he might as well buy Mitaka cute clothes and rare weapons with it.(The FO is smart and has health insurance, so getting sick wouldn’t be an issue)

4: Which one tells the other not to stay up all night and which one stays up all night anyway?Mitaka doesn’t even say anything to Hux anymore, he either just fucking SINGS him to sleep or gently (or not) drags or lures him to bed by other means [EYEBROW WIGGLING INTENSIFIES]

7: Which one constantly wears the other’s clothes?Mitaka, hands down.Well, Hux could more or less fit in as long as he doesn’t close it, but the arm length doesn’t properly add up therefore it looks just plain ridiculous. It actually DID happen once, when Hux was being like THIS. AGAIN. Mitaka was only mildly amused, unlike the rest of the crew, who had to fight to contain their snickering to an absolute minimum. 

13: Which one likes to surprise the other with a lot of small random gifts?Hux would bring all the weird shit and souvenirs from the planets he visits.Which consists mostly of either produce, clothes or weapons inherent to the particular planet/culture. OR musical instruments. (or just the music)There’s legit an instrument flying around in their quarters that essentially looks like an alpine horn, made from some sort of lilac crystal.

11: If they were about to rob a museum, which one does backflips through lasers and which one is strolling behind with a bag of chips? This can go funnily either way, Mitaka doing either the mission control from the van OR Hux, while Mitaka jumping around so skilfully, it’s putting Ninjas to shame

14: Which one keeps accidentally using the other’s last name instead of their own?Upon presenting as a woman, Mitaka tends to introduce himself as “Mrs. Hux” sometimes, but Hux likes to book things for a certain “Mr. and Mrs. Mitaka” when he feels like his own name would create too much of a stir.

27: Which one would give the other a makeover if they asked?Mitaka would put Hux in all the colourful clothes that are also sleek and practical, because he knows Hux isn’t one for gaudiness.In return Hux would put Mitaka in all the cute dresses and shoes. All. Of. Them.

So, I once reblogged a post where I wrote into the tags something like “put Mitaka in a pink hoodie 2k16″ because the character in that particular post reminded me so much of Mitaka.

And now I present you... MITAKA IN A PINK HOODIE! (A very BRIGHT pink hoodie.)

And he’s in a skirt... AGAIN.

Well, what can I say...

(Business as usual, as it seems...)

(I know the background and the shadows are... well... no comment, and in the beginning I even planned to redraw the lineart in SAI as well, but I simply got kind of lazy halfway through... (I mean, it’s half past two in the morning in my place anyway, so...) I’m actually quite satisfied with my pencil lineart, I really like some of the hoodie’s folds, and I really love the skirt.)
