Privileged to a member of the founding Board of Directors of the #FinTech Association of #TrinidadandTobago (#FinTechTT). The Trinidad & Tobago IFC (#TTIFC) officially transferred the management of FinTechTT to the private sector on Wednesday 16th September 2020. FinTechTT was launched in February 2020 with a mission “to facilitate a globally competitive ecosystem that will establish Trinidad & Tobago as the leading FinTech-enabled society in Latin America and the Caribbean.” During the past seven months, the T&T IFC has worked closely with the Interim Management Committee of FinTechTT to build a strong administrative structure that will support the company as it continues to expand. Seven Directors were elected with Maria Daniel, serving as the Chair. “In small island developing economies like Trinidad and Tobago, the diversity and dynamism of the FinTech industry have the potential to catalyse entrepreneurial innovation and growth, financial inclusion and overall economic development.
