Yet they always do when someone says that. After all that crap, we're not finished here. I hope you'll go after the Waymarker with a similar sense of fervor. Good fight to introduce our old friend with. Overall, aside from Rideaux's relative unpredictability, he still doesn't have a whole lot of health or defense, and his elemental weaknesses will be his undoing. It sends out the four magical buzzsaws like normal, but then they change into tornadoes. One arte that is significantly changed is Dancing Bayonet. A few are upgraded, and he does have access to his Mystic Arte, though evidently he did not feel the situation appropriate to use his not-so-trump card right now. He's vulnerable to a lot of elements, and has a wide variety of close and long-range melee artes, though all of his moves generally have a longer reach here. Speaking of the big man, if you chose to fight him way back in Nia Khera, you should have an idea how Rideaux fights. The goons themselves are very much more annoying than they are deadly, but they can throw out healing items (as can a few other human enemies), so you'll want to take them out as soon as possible, hopefully while the AI is keeping Rideaux and his Fauxmatus busy. Give it your all, for Alt Milla's sake.Īlso, Rideaux has a bunch of his goons along for this fight. However, the only way to use it in this fight is if you lose this fight, and are sent back to the menu screen, where you can set it. Since it very much relies on the power of The Four, Alt Milla never got it. In addition, she also has access to her Mystic Arte. The sooner you can get TP-reducing accessories, give them to Milla. It's basically Jude's Healer and Restore in a single move, but beware the AI will drain through Milla's TP really fast. It's Milla's healing move (all characters have at least one), and as well as removing negative status effects from any characters in the blast radius around Milla. All except Undine are straight elemental-damage dealing moves, in their expected categories. So, what's different about Original Milla? Well, she has the power of Efreet, Undine, Sylph, and Gnome at her disposal. In addition to that, it's genuinely a fun, chaotic boss fight with a ton of action and a great battle song. One of my favorite fights in the game, if only because we finally have the one, the only, the original, Milla Maxwell tagging in for us. Looks like someone woke up on the wrong side of the abyss!Īh this fight. Milla gives us a brief demonstration of The Four. Our.old friend goes over to Elle, who is still holding Alt Milla's sword. How nice of you to join us, Milla Maxwell! Goddammit! Still, she can't give up.not now. This is not good, but we can't abandon Milla, not now. I see you're quite a hit with the kids, phony.ĭamn. You miss Maxwell, don't you? Your beloved wandering spirit. There's no need for you to feign anger, Jude Mathis. Just prior to this, Milla took a swipe at Rideaux, but, continuing the theatrics, he knocked it away and backflipped. Rideaux pulls an Albert Wesker and sends Jude and Alvin flying across the room with the palms of his hands. First of all, you need to have a living circuit. Would you still think I was bluffing if I said Spirius was founded by Kresnik, the first human ever to summon Maxwell? If only the arte weren't so messy. Spirius knows the calculatrics arte for summoning Maxwell. 4 fight, and holds his own pretty damn well. Rideaux proceeds to get himself in a 1 vs. Technically, the Crest is superior to Milla's Elemental Ribbon in terms of raw stats, but the elemental protection the Ribbon gives here is more advantageous than the minor stat gain the Crest resulted in. In the back left corner (from where I currently am), there are a couple chests with a Wind Crest and a Reverse Doll in them. Hey, maybe Marcia's bodyguards were worth a damn. Uhhh.wasn't this Exodus' operation in the first place? Who the hell wasted these guys? Some of the survivors mutter about a man in red attacking them, but for all we know they're making excuses. Part 22: The Woman Who Returns Part XXII: The Woman Who Returns

Rating the Christmas outfits in the Tales of series
This time I’ll be rating the Christmas outfits from Tales of Vesperia!
 Xillia 1+2 / Zestiria / Graces + Berseria
Tumblr media
Yuri 1/5
Another boring, standard Santa outfit. Nothing much to talk about here.
Tumblr media
Yuri ver.2 5/5
Yaaaaas. Talk about a glow-up! Finally, some variety in color! The color palette and outfit fits Yuri’s personality so much more than the first outfit and the overall look is very unique! You can see a lot more personal touches to the ensemble like the chain(?) hanging off of Yuri’s belt, the cute little Repede plush, and all of the presents that represent each party member. Also, I know red and black is common color combination, but good gosh does Yuri rock it.
Tumblr media
Estelle 2/5
It’s a cute Santa dress, but there aren’t a lot of personal touches added to it to make it look unique.
Tumblr media
Flynn 5/5
Another outfit with variety in color! The outfit itself is completely white and the only thing colored red is Flynn’s scarf. It has a very “knightly” look to it, which fits Flynn’s personality to a tee! I especially love the golden shoulder plates, it really adds to his knightly look. I also really like how nicely it contrasts with Yuri’s second Santa costume.
Tumblr media
Repede 5/5
It’s a good doggo in a santa suit, what more could I ask for?
Tumblr media
Karol 1.5/5
He’s just wearing a reindeer fur suit.
Tumblr media
Karol ver.2 3/5
A santa outfit, but smol. I liked that they gave him a green neckerchief to make the outfit look more personalized, and that his hat isn’t a typical santa hat. Overall, while not super unique, it still looks very cute.
Tumblr media
Rita 4/5
It gets creativity points for not being yet another Santa-inspired outfit. It’s pajamas! And a really cute animal-themed one (I think it’s supposed to be a puppy?)! I love how fluffy and comfy it looks! I’d totally buy it if it were real.
Tumblr media
Patty 4/5
She’s in a full snowman suit! With a cute little scarf, and hat, and everything! The snowman even has a cute little blush sticker! Also, I know I gave Karol a low rating for just being in a reindeer suit, but at least Patty has a theme that’s more unique since the only other character that has a snowman theme is Leia.
Tumblr media
Judith 2/5
I’m actually surprised that her outfit isn’t on the same level as Muzet’s, or even Milla’s, in terms of sexiness. It’s a nice enough dress that shows just enough skin, fan service with class. The entire ensemble is pretty plain overall, though.

ToX2 behind-the-scenes info
People have been wondering about the decisions behind Xillia 2’s creation, so I have compiled information found in guides and interviews. No straight-up translation because that’s too tedious, just an info dump.
X1&2 Spoilers below.
From the Complete Guide interviews
Producer & Director – Baba & Anabuki
[Note: Anabuki worked on S, A and V’s development. He was the main planner for V 360 and did some directing for the PS3 ver. He was part of the battle system team in X1, and became the director for X2.]
Reasons for making a sequel
·         Fans had often said they wanted sequels in past questionnaires
·         Xillia was the 15th anniversary and they’d created a very detailed setting they wanted to re-explore
·         Wanted to expand on Elympios with an Elympion main character
·         Felt it was a waste to use the characters in only one game
·         Feels it kind of started when people said it would be fun to play as Gaius and Muzét
On what changed and what didn’t
·         They wanted to keep the old characters
·         Since the setting was more or less the same (tho with more focus on Elympios), they decided to build the game’s identity on its mechanics (see below)
·         Game mechanics changed a lot, with the introduction of the debt system, fixed parties, chromatus ability and choices
·         Setting is more modern
How the debt system came to be
·         Because ppl Ludger’s age worry about money
·         They wanted to have Ludger burdened by something
·         20,000,000 gald bc that’s the kind of sum that modern day salarymen could borrow. It’s a huge sum but not impossible to pay back if you work hard
The choice system
·         Because part of being an adult is making choices
·         Sometimes there are choices you don’t want to make but you have to (exemplified by having to destroy fractured dimensions)
Okumura as main character designer
·         Because since this wasn’t a game with two protagonists, they couldn’t ask both Fujishima and Inomata like last time
·         Since Ludger’s kind of a player self-insert, his design would be tricky, so it’d be easier with someone from within the studio
·         Okumura’s been working on Tales designs since Eternia (mainly for minor character) and his talent shone when he designed the Chimeriad, so they weren’t worried
Why the heroine is 8
·         They wanted her to be someone you’d strongly want to protect (working toward the last choice)
·         It wouldn’t work if it was a strong heroine who fought alongside you like in past titles
·         Yamamoto wanted her to be a girl because “I’d want to protect a little girl more than a little boy”
·         If she can’t participate in battles, it’s easier to remove her from the party for plot reasons (can’t have a fighting heroine kidnapped by the last boss for gameplay reasons)
·         (When she’s out of the party) Wanted to make players feel her absence in anticipation to the last choice
On Ludger’s various fighting styles
·         Baba wanted a sort of style shift like in Graces
·         Since he was a new protagonist, they wanted to introduce something that wasn’t in the original Xillia
·         Chromatus was Anabuki’s idea, because he likes transformations
·         People who played the first game probably have attachment to the old characters, but since Ludger’s the protag here, they wanted to make him stand out more
·         Staff got angry at Baba because that meant they basically had to program three characters in one XD
On Ludger’s silence
·         They wanted him to be a self-insert to the player
·         Plus it makes the one scene where he speaks more meaningful
·         They added the voiced lines option as NG+ bonus for those who like voices
·         Reason they didn’t make that option available on first playthrough was they wanted to get their message across/wanted players to see what they were aiming for, which wouldn’t be possible if players could skip the voiceless aspect from the start
About Gaius and Muzét
·         It was hard to include Gaius because he’s supposed to be super strong
·         Also because he’s the type to handle things himself before the protag has a chance to. But since this was Ludger’s story, they had to sideline him
·         They wanted to give him an ability like Vesperia’s fatal strikes, but that would make him too strong, so they had to tone it down
·         Muzét’s a good middle-range character. She’s weak if you get past her guard, so she has the ability to move out of range quickly
About the endings
·         The first scenario they came up with was the one where Ludger disappears, but since they implemented the choice system they wanted the game to have an important choice at the end, hence the creation of other endings
Discarded ideas
·         Fractured Milla with short hair (discarded because they didn’t want ppl to realize immediately from promotion images that she was a different Milla, and also bc they didn’t think Milla was the type to cut her hair short since she doesn’t care much about her appearance)
·         Otoh, something they hadn’t planned on: character models. They were originally just a way for the motion team to test things, but since it was fun they decided to include it in the game
Any chance for another sequel or anime adaptation?
·         Nope on sequel, as they think that world’s story is over
·         They’d like an anime or other media adaptations, but there’s no plans for it
Battle team – Fukuie, Yamase & Takizawa
[Fukuie was responsible for battle planning, various mechanics and linked artes; Yamase was the battle programmer (worked on Ludger’s artes and on mystic artes in particular); and Takizawa was battle program support (enemy artes and mystic artes, effects etc)]
What was kept from the original and what’s new
·         Linked artes were an essential part of the original so it was kept. They thought of modifying it but since it was popular they decided not to and simply make it easier to use
·         They gave spellcasters some more melee artes
Anabuki’s influence
·         Anabuki wanted more event battles so they added a lot
·         He’s also responsible for having them end the final fight with a mystic arte & cut-in
Ludger
·         They made bosses stronger because Ludger is really powerful
·         Elite monsters weak spots were inspired by Vesperia’s secret missions system
·         Implementing Ludger’s three fighting styles was apparently tricky with the tight schedule they had, so they asked for something else, but they went back to the first idea eventually
·         Example of other idea: giving him the fighting styles of the old characters. But that would cause problems if they simply copied the motions (they cited Elize’s posture, which would look weird on Ludger)
·         The scenario team asked that Ludger use both hands for each weapon style
Chromatus
·         The transformation part came mainly from the scenario team – someone said they wanted the image of a dark hero and someone else replied “then they should have a transformation.” The battle team was like “but he already has three fighting styles!”
·         At first the transformed state was less useful than fighting normally, so they removed staggering when transformed but added a time limit
Other characters
·         Anabuki wanted Gaius to be strong since he was the previous game’s last boss, but simply making him stronger than the rest would break the balance
·         There was a lot of arguing about his special ability
·         They also had a lot of ideas about Muzét but settled for emergency wrap because she can fly around freely
·         They increased the speed at which Rowen threw knives to make him less defenseless
Trivia
They picked Cless and Stahn as cameo because they were cameo costumes in the first game; then they added Mint and Rutee
They like the cameo ending, they feel it’s like a 4koma
At the beginning, the animation team made an animation of Ludger prostrating himself, but it wasn’t used. There’s always a number of gestures that don’t make it into the final product
Takizawa cleared everything on Unknown
Scenario team – Yamamoto, Hasegawa & Hori
[Note: Yamamoto was the main scenario writer of X2 (as well as H, Z and B); in X1 he worked on sub events]
Settings
·         They picked the story of Maxwell and Kresnik from the first game and developed it further as a base for X2
·         They were careful not to make it look like the previous game’s story wasn’t complete or to make it sound like the previous game’s conflict was lighter than the sequel’s
·         There was a request from the planning team to make up a different system, so that’s how they came up with the choice system and having the protag be a player self-insert
·         However, leaving him without expression or personality would be too un-Tales-like, so that’s how he ended up like he is in the game
·         It was decided from the start to change the protag because Jude and Milla’s story was over
·         Since the first game was heavily focused on Rieze Maxia, they made this game from the pov of Elympios
On separating main story and character episodes
·         Part of the new system idea
·         You get to know the characters more in their chara eps and that can influence the main story a bit
·         They’d planned on adding bonus scenes from the start; they added more than expected
Fractured dimensions
·         Represent the power of choice (as they show how history would be if different choices had been made)
·         Also as a way to catch X1 players’ interest
·         Yamamoto’s favorite FD is Victor’s dimension because it’s full of suspense; in chara eps it’s the one with Nachtigal. Hori’s were the ones with the Chimeriad because he had wanted them to survive so that was a way to see them again. Hasegawa’s were the ones in Leia’s and Alvin’s chara eps.
·         They redid Leia’s episode entirely, giving a bigger role to her boss as a result
·         The target audience for X2 is a bit older than X1, so that’s why they show stuff like relationships between boss and employee, it adds a touch of realism and can make adult players empathize
Ludger and Elle
·         Elle is at the center of the story. She is both a trouble bringer and a source of strength for the main character
·         They wanted the last choice to be heavy, choosing between Elle and Ludger/the player themselves
·         No choice is more correct than the other. While Jude etc were heroes who saved the worlds in the first game, they didn’t need for Ludger to be a hero at all cost – that’s for the player to decide with the choices
·         The Julius ending was Hori’s idea. He wanted people to feel that it was a valid choice
·         Choosing means eliminating the other possibility. Nothing changes if you don’t choose, you can’t go forward. That’s why they didn’t include the option to save both
·         If it had been a shonen manga, everyone would be happy at the end, but they wanted an older target audience for this game, which meant burdening Ludger with difficult choices
·         The two joke endings were added for more Tales-like fun. The cameo ending was requested by the planning team
·         It’s just for fun though so they don’t consider the cameo “happy end” valid because it glosses over the main story’s drama
New characters
·         It was hard to find balance on Gaius because he tends to solve things himself if you let him, but here he needed to have a support role
·         They liked showing a more casual side to him, as well as his relationship with the Chimeriad
·         Muzét didn’t really have evil intent (in the first game), it was more that she went out of control. Bc she had a hard time in X1 and since X2 had a heavy story, they decided to focus on light-hearted scenes with her
·         Fractured Milla was created to show the player what fractured dimensions were in a straightforward manner
·         They also wanted to surprise the players by giving her a completely different personality
·         At first, she was just created as a step to bring prime Milla back, but they decided to give her a bigger role because they grew attached to her
·         At first, they came up with half a dozen personalities for her before settling on one (tsundere)
·         They picked a cat for a mascot because there were cat lovers among the staff
·         It’s hard to have an animal move around during events, to they made him a fat cat so he wouldn’t move too much
·         Ludger’s hair is silver like his father’s, and the black part is dyed
·         Nova’s meche is because she saw Auj Oule women (it’s a cultural thing there) and she wanted to imitate Rieze Maxia’s fashion
Discarded ideas
·         Julius’ was supposed to be Ludger’s mother at first, but they thought an older brother character would be more popular. His overprotectiveness is remnants of his motherly role
·         Yamamoto wanted Bisley to use a gun and have a scene where Ludger transformed and avoided the bullets, so Bisley would go “that slow thing is useless” and discard the gun before transforming himself and punch faster than the gun fired bullets
·         He also wanted a scene where Bisley showed up to the last dungeon in a car saying “Sorry for the wait”
·         Anyway Bisley is really Yamamoto’s favorite XD
·         Nova and Vera had a very small role originally but Nova grew as a character who cheers Ludger up when he worries about his debt
·         She was originally just there to provide information; in the original idea, she was also originally in love with Ludger, not Julius, and would be irritated at Julius for causing Ludger trouble
·         They didn’t expect her to even show up at the hot spring
From staff comments in the World Guidance book
·         At first the debt was supposed to come from Ludger having to take responsibility for the Oscore incident
·         Anabuki drew the wanted posters
·         They call Kanbalar Edo lmao
·         They’d originally planned to have an ending where Ludger gives up in ch.14
·         The imagery of butterflies is associated to the Key of Kresnik (Elle’s hat design, Bisley’s wings in his chromatus form…)
·         Jude was introduced early to cover for Ludger’s lack of lines
·         They considered having him oppose Ludger at first (abt destroying the dimensions) and eventually join the party
·         They decided to keep the old cast’s personalities as they were in the first game’s epilogue, but made an exception for Elize, who matured a bit in between
·         They originally wanted to show Muzét regret her actions of the first game, but her chara eps took another direction
·         Fractured Milla was originally simply a gimmick to show the cruelty of fractured dimensions, but her role got bigger
·         They had templates for her
·         A hidden thema of the extra episode is to restore Ivar’s honor
·         Ideas for Rollo: Julius’ disguise, Chronos’ true form. But he ended up as a regular cat in the end
·         The dungeon in ch.10 was meant as a homage to past titles
·         Since the game is aimed at adults, “immorality” and “irrationality” were key themes of the first ideas
·         Some character design rough sketches are dated as far back as March 2011 (the first game came out in September 2011)

I have a lot to do, but I’ve been sick, and between replaying Xillia and Vesperia, and chatting about Tales with a few people, my love of the series feels much like it did ten years ago. So I’m sliding off my semi-hiatus to chatter about my love for it~ I’ve played quite a few. There are some I didn’t finish or finished watching the endings elsewhere, some I barely touched, and then a ton of them I’ve finished. I plan to play them all in this lifetime, somehow!  My favorites are Eternia, Xillia, and Rebirth comes in close after those two! I also really love Destiny, Abyss, and Graces. (There’s not a Tales game I don’t like, though some of them I couldn’t get into as well - Phantasia’s dungeons quickly drained my patience, for instance. The original Destiny did that as well, it’s why I’ve been stuck in the same dungeon at the end for nine years or so now!)
Favorite characters from the games I’m familiar enough with to know the characters well: Destiny - Mary, Phillia Eternia - Meredy, Reid, Farah, Keele, Ras Symphonia - Zelos, Colette, Sheena Rebirth - Mao Legendia - Chloe, Norma, Grune Abyss - Anise is fucking great and people who blame her for Ion are terrible, Jade, Noelle, Guy, Tear Vesperia - Flynn, Judith, Estelle, Duke Symphonia 2 - Aster Xillia - Jude, Leia, Milla, Rowen, Alvin, Elize, Gaius, the Chimeriad Xillia 2 - the cats you collect Zestiria - LAILAH, Alisha Graces - Pascal, Sophie, Malik Berseria - Eleanor, Eizen And between different crossovers, gummi skits/events, and the little exposure I’ve had to their games, here are some that stand out as probable favorites: Innocence - Spada, Ruca Hearts - Beryl, Hisui Phantasia - Chester, Arche Destiny 2 - Harold My favorite battle system is Graces, it’s so much fun. Sophie is a ton of fun to play, I always have a blast.  My favorite characters to main are usually melee, especially characters like Mao, Jude, Farah, and Sophie~ (in other words, tonfas and fists? Guess I like the personal touch in combat!) Oh! But I do like Judith and Eleanor, too... I guess I also like spears? (Maybe not so personal...) Favorite Tales openings are ‘Follow the Nightingale’ for Tales of Innocence, closely followed by ‘Flying’ for Tales of Eternia  My favorite mystic artes are Jade’s ‘Indignation’, Keele/Meredy’s ‘Indignation’, Milla’s ‘Elemental Mastery’, and for the humor factor, Max/Fog’s ‘Elemental Master’ - at least in English, as cringey as the dub for the game is - always cracks me up I have too many ships, but I think it’s fair to say that Arujumilla (Alvin/Jude/Milla) is the one I focus on most of all. I also have a lot of ‘not ships’ like...Graces... I feel like I don’t ship anything from that? I joke that my pairing for that is Asbel x Dadisms because...Asbel doing dad things and making bad puns and wearing socks with his sandals makes me laugh so hard for no justifiable reason. :’D BEST WEAPONS ARE LEGENDIA WEAPONS (I blame Shadow Hearts for my love of unusual weapons, because yes, you have Norma using straws and Grune using pots...it’s amazing.) I really love the music in Zestiria and Innocence, and there are some solid tracks in each game in my opinion (that make up for the bland or even downright annoying tracks) - I love Phantasia’s, actually, too. It has a nice classic RPG feel to it! Xillia had some nice music, too, that was kind of a break from the typical Tales OSTs. Well, unless you’ve played through the game like seven times, and then field music goes from ‘this is nice’ to GRATING kinda quickly...  I love the easter eggs in these games. Vesperia yesterday involved eggbears, which immediately makes me think of Eternia. For others, it just makes them think of Vesperia.  PREPARE TO DIE, EGGBEAR Okay, listen, Halure even has a shop called ‘Regulus’; if you combine that with the eggbear stuff, it’s clearly referring to Eternia I am really distraught that I seem to have tons of costumes from the beginning, including the hell-to-earn True Knight costume for Yuri, but apparently Rita’s Mao costume isn’t among them...? I’ll weep forever. She’s stuck as Walter for now. I’m bitter that Karol’s outfits are all pretty ugly, and of all the cameo outfits, they give him Milhaust? (Then again, Yuri has Creed’s. I don’t even know who Creed is tbh, I’ve never played more than a few hours of Hearts, but that outfit is UGLY.)  Fun fact: while looking at outfits before the game’s release with my mom, I said, “Oh wow, Yuri also has a Yuri costu - oh wait.” That’s what happens when Jude, Sorey, and Asbel all get Yuri cameo outfits. You forget that it’s originally Yuri’s.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Not to mention, I watched First Strike prior to the game’s release, and Yuri doesn’t wear his game outfit until the very end. I guess it slipped my mind that it’s, well, his.  I’m going to either nap off this yucky feeling or go attempt something semi-productive now, before I ramble about things that I’d prefer not to? Depending on where you fandom with your Tales, nice people are abundant, but so are the vicious ones who want to chase you down to tell you how much Abyss is the worst and all the MCs aren’t deep enough, only the ones who KILL are worth their salt, etc etc. I’ve already said enough that in the wrong hands, this information would be enough for someone to tell me to eat a doormat and choke on the grains of petrified dog shit that were scraped on it 2 years ago. SO I WILL JUST GO AND BE DONE HERE (Not that I’m unwilling to talk about it, I just...like talking to people who are like ‘yeah not a fan of Arujumilla but that’s okay, there’s other stuff to talk about’ ‘cos that’s literally...all my Tales friends, you’re all fantastic and I’m glad we’ve been friends for so many years now, even as I put Alvin/Jude/Milla content all over your dashes. I mean, I tag it so that helps, but still, thanks <3)

Answering Tales of Faves questions.
Fave unconventional weapon user
Sheena? Cards/seals aren’t conventional weapons right? =P
OTP
Mmm probably Milla/Jude, and I still like Lloyd/Colette too. They’re different types of ship but yeah, you can’t tear those ones apart imo. (Ok, that may not be the right wording about Jumilla haha, but you know what I mean.)
Plot twist
Mmm the first that comes to mind is the whole thing at (first) Tower of Salvation in Symphonia haha. Nowadays it’s a very obvious thing, but at the time I was really into the thing and that part was a big hit, you know?
I also like Milla’s “death”, and that big moment late in Berseria. A hard one when you see Velvet’s state, but it’s intense.
Unique mechanic
I liked the Kamui thing in Zestiria iirc, and the link stuff in Xillia.
Battle theme
I don’t remember them all, but I’d say Innocence’s and Xillia’s first battle theme on Milla side too.
Kimono costume
Leia’s one of course. :p
Tumblr media
There’s a lot of them that I like actually. Special mention to Milla and Velvet too.
Mountain
I don’t remember them that much. Hima in Symphonia?

Cosplay plans 1
So I am going to try to go to Youmacon next year, thank you @leiathesleia and @mochizuke for convincing me to go. I plan on cosplaying as Leia from Xillia, Jude from Xillia 2, Holo from Spice and Wolf, an original costume design for the Tales of Xillia1/2 games and maybe, MAYBE a special one. If i have funds and can figure it out in time >. <. Though S.O has a request for my Jude cosplay. He wants shippy pics with Milla, Gaius and Alvin. I love him for that really because he is slightly jealous I'm going without him but the fact that he is like, okay you do this i wanna see this then and I'm like, lol no prob really. So heres to hoping a year in advance planning will go well!

A look back to about 3 years ago when I did Milla Maxwell from the game “Tales of Xillia 2”. I altered the design a bit and chose a weapon that was originally intended for the character Rowen (but I liked it too much 😏). I was so happy with the outcome. Can’t believe how much time has passed 😨 if you ever want a good game to play I highly recommend the “Tales of” series 😉#talesofxillia #talesofxillia2 #talesofxilliacosplay #millamaxwell #millamaxwellcosplay #millacosplay #gamer #talesof #talesofcosplay #cosplay #cosplayer #floridacosplay #canadacosplay #diy #costume #cosplaygoals #playstation #gamer #videogame #videogamecosplay #gamercosplay #anime #manga #flashback #cosplayphotography #cosplayflashback #yamisorceress

Got Tales of Berseria yesterday as a gift along with all DLC (!!!) XD. Played for 2 hours this morning, really loving it so far. I was hesitant to play it because I was worried Velvet would be like Milla (Xillia) or even Lightning (FFXIII~), both female MCs that I don’t like, but unexpectedly she grew on me so fast. It’s probably because of the flashback part (I was cursing at the screen at the end of the flashback T^T) that makes me sympathize with her quickly.
I haven’t been spoiled at all when starting it, but I’d guessed Laphi’s gonna die soon, so not really surprised then, though he’s got some costume DLCs so most likely he’ll come back... as some kind of a zombie lol XD. The first thing that thoroughly cracked me up in this depressing game was one of the (zombie) prisoner said something about not participating in the riot because he’s thoroughly content being in this undead state of dead, and he’s not breaking out of the prison because he doesn’t want to be dead like normal (or something, I don’t really remember the exact words XD). Oh I wish I had known how to screenshot this game.... Aside from Velvet, I also love the character models here. It’s... a bit similar with Zestiria but somehow better, more expressive and smooth I guess. I don’t know if it’s because of the graphic options I use, but in cutscenes the models look cell-shaded (correct term?), like in Atelier games, and they look great! Like, very dramatic somehow. Very cool looking <3
