Tamagotchi Uni: Pets are Back!

You heard that right. Pets, which have made some small appearances in Tamagotchi’s since the Tamagotchi Famitama and Tamagotchi Connection V5, and then a few other models, most recently the Tamagotchi Meets/On/Some are back.

We were playing with our new Tamagotchi Uni (which is out of this world incredible), we stopped by the yard and all of a sudden an adorable green Harapparatchi which almost blends into the grass appears. We did not add any items to the yard, that flower pot comes with yard and might be seasonal.

Harapparatchi looks at our Tamagotchi (who looks like a cactus) and they fall in love with a cute animation with a bunch of hearts. Your Tamagotchi even pets them with their hands, how cute? Now every time we visit the yard, Harapparatchi is there, and our heart is happy. Pets are back!

That Tamagotchi fan community has proven to be able to get results when they let it be known that they actually want something really bad but it only works when a lot of people actually speak up, responding to social media posts ( we really need to let go of the notion that replying to social media posts and saying we want more is somehow "entitled" or "toxic" it's literally what their accounts exist for besides just advertising and keeping their brand in mind ). If only a few people say they want it, then you're probably not going to see any results.

There's still so much more I'd like to experience without paying outrageous ebay prices for a device that might not even function anymore.

Tamagotchi Angel and Tamagotchi Ocean were both released in English, but the latter is almost impossible to find at a reasonable price, and could use some balance tweaks in a possible remake. Tamagotchi Morino and Tamagotchi Devil never got an english release, both were planned as Tamagotchi Garden and Tamagotchi Monster, but neither ended up coming to fruition, and the Devil is impossible to find for a reasonable price. You might get lucky with the Ocean if you stick to Japanese releaess, but not the Devil. I wanted these more than the Connection remakes and was always asking Bandai for them. Now that we have connection remakes, I hope fans will start joining me in asking for other vintage era remakes like these.

There's also v4, v5, and v6 of Tamagotchi connection. We're getting a remake of V3 after years of begging for it. V1 and V2 i'm told are just basic ass Tamagotchi and we're missing almost nothing by them going straight to V3. But V4 5 and 6 are incredibly different. I'd love to experience those some day, I feel like these have the best chance of happening next if the connection remakes do well, but only if the fans ask for it.

Lastly, there's the Tamagotchi anime... only the first twelve episodes and the movie have a dub available, there is almost nothing available subbed, a few scattered episodes and the second movie. The best shot we had at a fan sub, the animetchi project, had to stop all efforts due to personal life reasons, and Bandai is unlikely to do anything with the anime, as it's officially ended. Our best shot is to ask Discotek to subtitle it, they're known for getting the lisence for more obscure niche anime and doing really good work with it. They actually have an official wish list thread on Reddit, and I suggest everyone who actually wants to watch this anime let it be known in this thread ( you can also drop a few other suggestions in there too. )

Fans need to stop being afraid to ask for what they want. Bandai isn't making Tamagotchi material as a hobby, it's not harassment to let them know what you'd exchange your money for. So please, speak up. They have market analysts for a reason.

Kikitchi is an adult stage Tamagotchi whose very sweet, athletic and cool! First appearing in the second movie, Tamagotchi: Happiest Story in the Universe!, he made his way over to being featured in the toys ever since the Tamagotchi Connection V5 Celebrity!

Does high weight negatively affect tamagotchis on the connection releases? I haven't found any solid information if it does or not, and it doesn't seem to be related to how care mistakes work. (I do know that on the Tama-Go and Osutchi and Mesutchi there are negative effects to reaching 99lbs.)

On the Plus/V1, being over 80g will make your Tamagotchi perform worse on connection games (this probably extends to all versions connecting on V1 mode).

On the Keitai series being over 80g will make them very likely to end up last on the racing / swimming game (but since you can bet on them losing, it can be a good thing).

On the V2 high weight will make it impossible to get very far on the jump game, but it makes it easier to win bump.

On the V3 high weight makes it easier to win bump, unsure if there's another game that's affected by weight too.

On the V4 high weight seems to make it more likely for your character to become an universal adult, which would make this the only version where it has a negative impact on growth.

On both the V4 and the V4.5 it also seems to make it harder to get jobs.

On the Entama and Uratama it seems to have no negative effects.

On the family ones (V5 & V5.5) there's no weight at all, but overfeeding adults until they can't eat anymore several times will make them transform into the large family.

Today is Thanksgiving in the United States, and the start of the holiday season! That's why I've decided to start running my v5 Familitchi, because what's more important this time of year than family?

✨️Mametchi✨️

If you know tamagotchi, there's no doubt you've seen his cute mug. An icon of tamagotchi.

Mametchi has been around since the gen 1 tamagotchi (a Superstar).

Mametchi can be evolved by giving the first stage good care, with a 80 to 100 discipline. Then in the teen evolution you must maintain perfect care and fill the discipline to 100. Even though these are the gen 1 requirements, Mametchi seemsto keep a consistent requirement in all of the devices he's in.

Mametchi described by the shows and movies seems to be an intelligent ,mannered, good boy.

Mametchi is apart of a family of five. This family includes Papamamet (his papa), Mamametchi (his mama), Chamametchi (his little sister), and Hapihapitchi (his dog??? Artificial sibling??? Wtf???).

Even though by default Mametchi isn't married, in Tamagotchi connection v5 Mametchi can get married and have children. He can even turn into Papamamet with enough Smart points (father like son)

Due to Mametchi being so iconic in the series he has a large amount of variations an evolutionary turns. For example: Mamenamekotchi, a long mushroom shaped mametchi evolution only seen in Nameko Pierce. Talking about all his designs that I find cool would take forever. However I do encourage you to see explore some if these variations yourself, they are rather interesting imo (may touch on some of my favorite another time)

Last note:

Mametchi seems to be weirdly picky but general with his likes and dislikes. Like he loves sushi and kiddie pools

But dislikes scooters and rice??? Like mf what do you think sushi is made of???
