Pls pls pls share your kick headcannons with us
(If u want cant make you do something you don't want but it would be great)
Love your page btw
I shall indeed, feel free to bug me about the others if you want to! Just keep in mind it'll take me a min to answer lol.
Just so I don't kill someone's thumbs, read more thing
Ginger, rust red and not carrot red, which is something he's very insistent on. He's very proud of his eyebrows and eyelashes, thank you.
I like to think he has amber eyes. Honey brown. Ya'know? Pretty.
Shorter than Hesh, but taller than Logan. (Side note: I hc Logan to be the shortests of the Ghosts. But! That doesn't mean he's not strong. He's stocky.)
Not built as thick as Hesh or Merrick, but he ain't a lightweight either.
Freckles everywhere. Mostly on his face and shoulders.
Likes his facial hair but keeps it short to not aggravate regs more since he already lets his hair grow out longer than it should be. (Elias and Merrick both turn a blind eye.)
Has a white streak/spot in his hair above his right eye. It's been there since he was a weeeeee baby, and he thinks it makes him look cool.
Prankster of the group. Enjoys harmless but annoying jokes such as sprinkling glitter in Merrick beard when he's asleep and switching Logan and Hesh's vests so they put on the wrong ones. (They figure it out because the size difference.) Not even Elias is safe, though Kick takes it easy on him and just moves his office supplies around to give him small trouble. (He has his bias because Elias is Team Dad.)
Enjoys making little crafts in his spare time. Like you know those mini dollhouse kits? I think he'd like making those because it's very meticulous and time consuming, so just one gives him a good month+ long project. When he's done he might display it or send it home to family.
Speaking of family, I like to think he has a little sister. Hence him sending the dollhouses home.
Adores pirates. Games, movies, documentaries, books, etc. Everything.
100% ate sand once on a dare (Keegan dared him) and never hears the end of it even years and years later.
Seems like he'd keep a diary, just to keep track of the day.
Multilingual. Spanish, english, italian, some ASL.
Enjoys orange flavored candy. Like above all other flavors.
Collects pens. From bic ballpoints to extravagant fountain pens, he's got to have one of them all! Half of them are "stolen"
Can play the fiddle. (Went to band camp as a kid.)

If you don't mind me asking, what supplies do you use to draw?? I love your comics and your sketches and you're a huge inspiration :D
...M-me? Wow, thank you @violetcancerian XD! I’m a bit surprised because I don’t really feel like I know what I’m doing, and I am not at all professional when it comes to drawing. But I do love what I do, even if I do it messily :p.
If it helps, sure, I’ll gladly tell you about the supplies I use. This here is for the black-and-white stuff, because I assume that that is what you are asking about.
Tumblr media
My drawings aren’t particularly sophisticated or artistic, so I have some preferences that real artists will abhor. I like very smooth paper, brush pens rather than brushes, and fineliners instead of pen-and-ink.
Paper
My preferred paper size is A5, and I like drawing in notebooks. This is a bit stupid when you want to get a decent scan of your pages afterwards... But I am incredibly messy, so on the other hand, my use of notebooks means that so far I haven’t lost any pages yet! I’m drawing The Darkest Hour on detachable Daler Rowney notebook pages - easier to scan, but more dangerous for me :p.
I use a lot of Moleskine booklets (I have them in all sizes, mostly black). My Snape Notebook is a TeNeues Cool Notes booklet and I have recently dipped into a Leuchtturm 1917 notebook. All have very smooth, rather light and yellowish paper. For my pencil sketches I use regular printer paper.
Tumblr media
Pencils
I used to draw almost exclusively with mechanical pencils, but since my evening classes at art school I much prefer regular pencils for sketching, especially softer leads like B4 en B6. I still use my mechanical pencils for detailing (or for travelling). I’ve recently discovered the joys of the blue pencil for initial sketching. Pretty much the only brand of Non-Photo Blue pencil I have found in local shops is Caran d’Ache, so that’s what I’m going with.
One of my teachers at art school told me that Staedtler pencils are Really Bad. But I had some already and I’ve never had any complaints, so I’m using them up and I’ll break out the huge box of Derwents after that ;-).
Tumblr media
Pens
I am quite rubbish with dip pens. I love them, but - I can’t use them very well except for writing. I am a control freak and my drawings are mostly clear line, so I want to have the best control possible and not have to worry about inkblots and such. I mean, I get stains with *anything* as it is, so I prefer to make my life as easy as possible. That’s why I use fineliners instead of nibs and brush pens instead of brushes.
My fineliners are Copic Multiliners. Before that, I used Staedtler Pigment Liners, and I love those, but I used them lots and it annoyed me that I had to throw all those empty plastic pens away. So at one point I decided to invest in Copics, which are metal and can be refilled. Yes, empty fillings still get thrown away :/. Maybe one day I’ll have to face my fears and switch to nibs that you can refill from a glass bottle...
For inking, I used to love my really flexible Pentel calligraphy brush pen, but at one point or another the ink starts to flow far too heavily and everything just goes blob :(. I have since switched to a Pentel Arts Color Brush (also refillable) and I am very, very happy with that. The ink flows much less quickly - I can get dry brush effects with it or make nice, fat lines while drawing it slowly over the paper. Frankly: it has been a game changer for my brush inking.
Tumblr media
For my quick sketches I use a very basic Bic ballpoint pen. It’s probably the cheapest in the shops, but it draws very fine lines. I just love it :D.
For my greys I use felt tip pens. In TDH it’s the Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pens (Brothers & Sisters is drawn with those entirely, but I think in future I may go with a brown Pentel). More recently I got the Koi pens, which I really like. They have larger tips. I’ve used those in my Snape sketchbook and elsewhere.
That’s it, really. I hope this helps! Don’t hesitate if you have any questions about this stuff :).

My pencil case is a large Lihit Lab Smart Fit Double Pen Case in blue. The white pouch is narrow but deep and has two side pockets. The blue pouch opens all the way and has three sections: a small pocket, an elastic band, and a mesh pouch. There’s a LOT of space here for pretty much anything that fits in your palm. You could definitely put small scissors in the mesh pocket or mints or medicine in the white pouch. It’s versatile!
(Note: the links are to Amazon and Muji US, but several of these I just found at the drugstore years ago and am still using now. The Muji products I usually get via my sister, who lives in NYC. The only items on this list I bought on Amazon are the Pentel Orenz pencil and the Zebra highlighters, plus the pencil case itself.)
White pouch:
BIC 0.5 mm mechanical pencil
An old standby. I never use any pencil with lead thicker than 0.5 mm, I hate them. I love fancy stationery as much as the next studyblr, but sometimes simplicity is key.
Pentel Orenz 0.2 mm blue mechanical pencil
This pencil is cool because it writes with the lead still inside the pencil body. It’s built that way, otherwise the lead would break. This isn’t my favorite pencil in the universe (the grip isn’t very good), but if you’re writing on a soft surface it’s great.
Pilot Precise V5 RT black retractable rolling ball pen
Another standby. Many an in-class essay has been written with this pen. It’s my favorite for annotating anything on printer paper. A trooper.
Muji 0.38 mm black and blue gel ink pens
What is there even to say about Muji pens? You need them in your life. Sometimes I use them to handwrite fancy fonts into my notes. (Sorry the link on this one isn’t perfect.)
0.5 and 0.2 mm lead refills
Pentel eraser refills
8 GB Kingston USB
I got this from my dad in sixth grade. I’ll admit it, since 2013 or so I’ve pretty much never used it, but I like having it on hand. It’s good for quick file transfers, especially if the files are big or if it’s illegal movies or something. You never know.
Blue pouch:
Zebra Midliner Cool & Refined double-sided highlighters
I love these highlighters! I have a pack of mild Frixion erasable highlighters, too, but I don’t like them as much so I don’t carry them around. Plus, these ones double as markers. I plan on getting more colors soon!
Double-sided blue Sharpie
Black is the classic Sharpie choice, and I have one of those at home, but (as you can probably tell) blue is my favorite color. Everyone needs a Sharpie, and I definitely recommend the double-sided ones. The thin tip comes in handy.
Pentel EnerGize 0.5 mm mechanical pencil
Another mechanical pencil. This one has a thick grip, like a pen. I don’t use it much, but it’s good to lend out. I gave the other one (it came in a double pack) to a friend who really liked it.
Muji 3-color ballpoint pen
A gift from my sister! She’s a doctor, so at the hospital she uses the different colors on to-do lists to prioritize what’s urgent, what’s not urgent, and what needs to be done RIGHT THIS INSTANT. Personally, my favorite thing about this pen is how thin the tips are.
Pilot Frixion Ball erasable 0.5 mm blue pen
Frixion erasables aren’t my favorite, mostly because of the watercolor ink, but this one doesn’t bother me much and is good to have if you’re writing on glossy paper or something similar. In high school, I used it in my Spanish textbooks and workbooks, so I could erase it later and sell the books as new.
Global Wings Japan 5-color post-its
Just some sticky notes. I coordinate them with pen/highlighter colors when I’m annotating.
Green eraser
For big mistakes.
This is definitely a step up from my old pencil case, which had three pouches but was comparatively quite small. (It’s also now super dirty/well-loved, seeing as I used it all throughout middle and high school. It has a picture of a red double-decker bus on each side—you can see how that’s appealing to an 11-year-old.) While this is the pencil case I carry around with me in my backpack, I’m considering getting a standard Muji pencil case for when I just want to take the absolute essentials with me (on short trips, hikes, etc.), or for the rest of my highlighters and Muji gel pens (which are currently still in their broken cylindrical packaging). I’m such a stationery junkie. I love pens and paper.
If you have any thoughts, I’d love to hear them! Thanks for reading!!
– Sasha
