#The Ominous Flames of the Fatui [Genshin Impact] verse

I finished Arlecchino's story and decided to change Ember's backstory to suit the Genshin canon a little more.

Update: When Ember awoke, she realized what she had done and was grateful that Arlecchino was able to save her and her sister. Since they were orphans, Arlecchino adopted them to the House of Hearth. Ember enjoyed her new life as a Fatui, however, she would feel guilty from time to time for burning her sister by accident. Not only that, she could tell that Cecilia was not enjoying her life as a Fatui and Ember blamed herself for being the indirect cause of the life Cecilia was forced to live in. Cecilia wants to live a normal life and find a way to escape to live a new life away from the House of the Hearth. When Ember found out, she was scared for Cecilia and would try to find a way to help Cecilia, in hopes that Arlecchino didn’t find out. In time, Father found out. Ember fought back, hoping to save her sister, however, she lost. To her surprise, Father did not want to kill Cecilia but offered a solution. She gave Cecilia a potion made from her searing flames for Cecilia to drink and forget about her life in the House of the Hearth. 

Cecilia left and lived the life she wanted. Ember sometimes checks up on her sister in secret to make sure her sister is living happily and safely. Since Cecilia has lost her memories, sjhe did not remember that Ember is alive and assumes that Ember has also died in the fire along with her father years ago.

Ember continued to live in the House of the Hearth as a Fatui, accomplishing any mission that was given to her.

​Ember stared at the plants surrounding her and the forest ranger. Whether the plants would be reintroduced to the forest or not did not matter to her. But, she decided to comply with the man's warnings only because she did not want to keep hearing him lecture her about the plants.

​"You do know that the warning signs are useless. There will always be people who ignore them. If you are so concerned about the plants, why don't you just grow them in places where people won't accidentally step on them? Why are you so obsessed with regrowing these plants anyway? There isn't anything special about them. I have seen prettier and more useful plants than these."
