Jimin's article written by a fan...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
On March 24, Jimin released “Like Crazy” (with no features). "Like Crazy" didn't need a feature.
Outside of his work with BTS, Jimin’s highest-charting Hot 100 hit as a solo artist was “Set Me Free pt. 2,” his own song, at number 30.
There were a lot of noteworthy new songs coming out the Friday “Like Crazy” was released, including “Eyes Closed” by Ed Sheeran, “Spice Marley” by Spice and “Don't Play With It Remix” by Lola Brooke ft. Latto and Yung Miami. Not only that, but songs like “Flowers” (Miley Cyrus), “Last Night” (Morgan Wallen), “Kill Bill” (Sza) and “Die For You” (The Weeknd and Ariana Grande) continued to dominate streaming charts. With all that in mind, let’s take a closer look at how “Like Crazy” performed in its first week. The chart data for the seven days following March 24 was reflected in the Billboard chart dated April 04.
youtube
According to Billboard, “FACE” and "Like Crazy" massed 10 million streams and sold 234,000 units on the week of its release. According to Oricon, "FACE" recorded 222,120 sales on the first day, making it the 3rd album with the biggest first day sales. Jimin earned the BIGGEST First Week sales for a Korean album by a Korean Soloist in Oricon History. Immediately after its release on March 24, Jimin’s album made Hanteo history by being the first to surpass 1 million first-day sales of an album by a Korean soloist, despite the unclear issues that arose that day and the sales that were deleted. Even though the cd single of "Like Crazy" has not been restocked after 4 months, the sales it pulled from full album sales and digital sales were impressive. Although most were not counted after week 2 because fans were not informed of the rule changes Billboard had made to its chart. By the end of the first week, the song had been streamed nearly 22 million times and sold 234,000 album equivalent units in the US. With those 234,000 sales—the second highest of any song for the week—thrown on top of all its streaming figures, “Like Crazy” climbed to the top spot on the Hot 100.
The song’s performance on the charts is noteworthy, but what is particularly impressive is its extensive streaming numbers, especially worldwide. On Spotify, “Like Crazy ” swiftly rose to number one on Worldwide iTunes Chart, Worldwide iTunes Song, European iTunes, and Japan's Line Music. "Like Crazy" also topped Spotify’s Daily Top Global Songs chart and Jimin was the first Korean soloist to do so. "Like Crazy (English Version)” also debuted at no. 2 on the daily Global Top Songs chart with 6.6 million streams. Out of the 7 tracks, 6 of them took up the top 6 positions on the Oricon Daily Digital Ranking, showing how much the album had been anticipated. The album also dominated the Worldwide Apple Music Album Chart and all songs were top sellers in Digital Music New Release, Digital Music Best Seller, International New Release, and International Best Seller in Amazon Music USA. According to Melon, "Like Crazy" in its first day, peaked at #8 and maintained the position in the chart. After 24 hours, "Like Crazy" obtained almost 3 million streams on Melon. Even after months have passed by, the song continues to be streamed over 2.5 million times every day. So far, the song has been no.1 in 111 countries, setting the record for the most no.1 on iTunes in 2023.
It's pointless to compare "Like Crazy" to other Western Songs or Korean song because there is nothing like "Like Crazy". It is one of a kind.
The song is written in Korean and there is also an English version that should be combined but hasn't been despite other artists having theirs combined, this marks an even more historic debut for an Asian artist, and the fact that it had only 0.6m of radio airplay is reflecting that significance. A sultry club synth pop song was the last thing I was expecting among solo discographies of BTS members. But the fact that this song has become one of the biggest K-pop hits is beyong exciting. As K-pop continues to explore new themes and approaches, the bold move of “Like Crazy” and its early and ongoing success may serve as inspiration for the next generation of K-pop artists, even his own company, to take similar courageous steps.

Mew Suppasit Jongcheveevat And Tul Pakorn Thanasrivanitchai On Love, Travel, Upcoming Projects And More
Together, the Thai stars are rewriting the rules of being a leading man in film and television all while venturing into new territories, pursuing passion projects and living their lives unapologetically.
Tumblr media
Forget everything you think you know about being a leading man. Thai actors, Mew Suppasit Jongcheveevat and Tul Pakorn “Tyler” Thanasrivanitchai, are redefining what it means to be a household name after starring in Thai boys’ love (BL) dramas.
Unlike the uninhibited and daring characters he sometimes plays on screen, Mew comes across as a reserved, soft-spoken yet confident gentleman in person. On set, he’s polite, charming and eager for feedback despite possessing a wellspring of experience in the entertainment industry. “Are my poses okay? Do I need to do anything differently?” he earnestly asks Kenneth Goh, our editor-in-chief who was art directing the shoot in Bangkok, Thailand.
Tumblr media
Mew’s rise to fame was gradual. The 32-year-old earned his stripes as a model before getting his first big break as an actor when he was cast as Pree in the Thai BL drama What The Duck: The Series (2018). The show was an instant hit in Thailand, and was brought back for a second season. But it wasn’t until his role in TharnType: The Series, where he played Tharn, a gay man who falls in love with his homophobic roommate (played by Gulf Kanawut Traipipattanapong) in university, that his star rose dramatically.
Mew is also a gifted musician. His debut album 365 ranked number three on the worldwide iTunes album chart, and was number one in 18 countries. He also became the first Thai artiste to debut an album that reached the 13th spot on iTunes’ Global Digital Artist Ranking list. He has since struck out on his own with Mew Suppasit Studio, through which he releases new music.
His success as an actor and recording artist hasn’t gone unnoticed. He caught the eye of luxury fashion brands such as Maison Valentino, Tod’s and BOSS, resulting in coveted partnerships and front row seats at Milan fashion week.
Tumblr media
In contrast, Tul exhibits golden retriever energy. Charming and enthusiastic in the flesh, he is the polar opposite of Mew on set. Tul is playful and adventurous, taking initiative on how to better bring the concept of the shoot to life. “It might be better if I stood behind Mew for this shot so we’re both facing the camera,” he thoughtfully suggests. His energy is infectious and he’s not afraid to do whatever it takes to get the best photo. On set, they are drawn to each other, playfully tugging at each other’s clothes, while warm embraces and encouraging shoulder rubs signal a close bond. After lunch, the laughs grew louder, the boyish repartee naughtier and the hugs tighter. Clearly, Mew and Tul have a special affinity with each other.
Tumblr media
Like his contemporary, Tul’s first foray into the entertainment industry was through modelling. “I was a drum major during the Chula–Thammasat Traditional Football match back in 2011, and I was scouted by a modelling agency,” he recalls. “I was later spotted modelling during a fashion show by a casting director and was asked to go on an audition. I started acting in my third year in university, accepting one production a year.”
The casting director’s eye for talent proved to be on the money—the 31-year-old shot to fame, thanks to the success of Together With Me (2018), where he played Knock, a sexually-confused university student who ends up falling in love with his gay childhood best friend. With his newfound popularity, opportunities within the fashion industry opened up for Tul as well.
Tumblr media
Another similarity between the two men is their dedication to academic excellence. Mew has a master’s degree in Engineering from Chulalongkorn University, while Tul just graduated from Columbia University with an MSc in Real Estate Development and worked as an acquisition intern at Cycamore Capital in New York City.
Mew and Tul are testament to the modern idea that there’s no one way to reach the pinnacle of success, and that there’s always room for personal and professional enrichment and time for passion projects. We sat both of them down for an intimate tête-à-tête on style, travel, upcoming projects, their goals for the new year and more.
Tumblr media
ON FASHION
Tul: How would you describe your style?
Mew: It depends. I love to mix and match. I have different types of tops that I’d mix with different bottoms, shoes and accessories.
T: Your wardrobe is huge (laughs)!
M: What about you?
T: In Thailand, anything lightweight. I’m very sensitive to the heat. I’m still experimenting with my style, but I love Korean fashion. I think the cutting is more flattering for us Asians and it’s more sophisticated. I like something minimal with details that is easy to mix and match with what you already have. For Thai fashion, I like Greyhound.
M: Handbags! You have so many bags!
T: Shoulder bags and crossbody bags. Well, the thing is, I don’t feel like dressing up much while in Thailand. So I play with bags instead.
M: I bought him a new bag last year and I only saw him use it once. You know the problem isn’t about how often he uses it. The problem is, he was whining a lot when he wanted it. But when I bought it for him, he rarely used it.
T: I used it many times! Around five times.
M: In the entire year!
T: When I want him to buy me something, I’ll send him a picture saying, ‘It’s beautiful, isn’t it?’
ON FOOD AND TRAVEL
M: Any restaurant recommendations?
T: I think Japanese restaurants are great. I like yakiniku and shabu shabu, but I really recommend grilled prawns.
M: Any good ones in Ayutthaya? Once I ate them on a raft and threw up. I guess I had seasickness. River prawns are very fatty and the raft was floating, so I felt terrible.
T: I would recommend Ginzado. It’s a Japanese yakiniku restaurant.
M: What’s your favourite food?
T: Asian food. I enjoy Thai, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean food.
M: You know what our new discovery is? Peruvian food! It’s very good.
T: Yes, Peruvian food! So good!
M: We ate it in Canada.
T: Peruvian food is like a mix of Latin and Japanese food.
M: The restaurant we ate at in Miami was very good too.
T: Yes. They have this dish that’s a lot like our Yum (spicy salad). I think Thai people will like it. If you don’t enjoy Mexican cuisine, you might like Peruvian.
M: Do you always plan your trips or just go with the flow?
T: I always plan.
M: Overplan, more like it! He’s the one in charge of trips, and the itinerary is always just nice—not too packed.
T: I told you I can be obsessive-compulsive. When we travel, I want the best things at the best price. It needs to be cost-efficient. When you need to be somewhere at a certain point in time—such as seeing the sunrise at a particular spot—I will do everything to make sure we get to see the sunrise. I plan everything in advance and I don’t want anyone in the group to have to pay for something unnecessarily expensive. If, at some time, business class tickets are excessively costly and premium economy is more value for money, then we should do premium economy. I’ll be attentive to everyone’s rewards and mileage to ensure they don’t need to pay extra when they can redeem miles.
M: He will have all the information on hand like, if we’re going somewhere and need to use a particular airline, we should apply for this and that in advance, so we have benefits like better seats or baggage allowance.
ON WHAT’S NEXT
T: What are your plans for this year?
M: Last year, I worked on many projects, series and movies, so you’ll see a lot of my work both on television and in cinema. I’ll be back working on music soon as well. In addition, I have a fan meet around my birthday in February, so I’m looking forward to meeting my supporters there. Among the projects that I’ve completed is Mon Rak Luk Thung, a remake of a classic Thai musical rom-com. This is my first time singing many luk thung [folk] songs.
T: I’m thinking of seriously moving away from entertainment, and focussing on my family business. I’m currently working as a project manager for our new project in Bangna. It’s a community mall with a fresh food market. In the future, I would love to work in property management. I enjoy exploring residential and housing projects. I want to do something that offers customers high-quality products and a good quality of life. This is also the reason why I pursued my postgraduate study.
M: What are your goals for 2024?
T: I want to have a sexier body. I want to have time for the gym no matter what I have going on at work. Another goal of mine is to make more use of what I’ve learned in the US in my life. I want to be working on more tangible projects.
M: I have never had a chance to use any of the things I learned during my postgraduate studies (laughs). The research I did… I’ve used none of it.
ON THEMSELVES
W: How would you describe yourself?
T: I’m a worrywart. I think too much about every little thing despite my image as a very sociable extrovert. But when I’m on my own, I’m quite obsessive-compulsive; I will tidy my rooms and fold my clothes.
M: Everyone thinks he’s easy-going and very laid-back, but in reality, he’s a worrywart. He really, really thinks about everything. He keeps worrying about others.
T: It depends. I thought I could handle social media better as I got older but sometimes, I feel like I’m not as good at it as I could be. That said, after years in showbiz, I’m better at letting go and not letting it affect me as much.
M: I’m the opposite of Tul. He’s a worrywart despite his easy-going image. I look like I’m overthinking but in reality, I’m much more laid-back.
T: Exactly (laughs)!
ON LOVE
T: What’s your favourite love quote?
M: I don’t know… I’ve never thought of it.
T: Just Google ‘love quote’ and pick one you like.
M: For real? Okay, let’s see… Top 10 Love Quotes…
T: My love quote is ‘Bitch, I say what I say.’
M: What should I choose…what about this one? It’s quite short. ‘When there is love, there is life.’

🌹 — COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE !
once pre-orders for ROSES began shortly after the release of “SHE,” the album was quick to sell. within the first week, it surpassed 700,000 pre-orders. within two weeks, it cracked a MILLION pre-orders, becoming the first album by a female soloist to reach such a milestone
“SHE” itself was just as much of a success. it debuted atop the SPOTIFY daily chart, and with over 200,000 units sold, it debuted at number one on the BILLBOARD HOT 100, becoming the first korean language track by a female soloist to top the chart. to JANG-MI’s surprise, it also topped the GAON chart, and won FOUR music show awards. the song remained atop the BILLBOARD chart for FOUR consecutive weeks, while it remained atop the GAON chart for THREE
ROSES saw further success upon its release. within its first week, it sold over 1.5 MILLION copies worldwide, becoming the highest selling album by a female k-pop soloist until it was surpassed four years later. it topped the BILLBOARD 200 with over 300,000 units sold, and also topped charts in japan, the united kingdom, france, germany, the netherlands, australia, and the the philippines. as of 2023, ROSES has sold over 7 MILLION copies worldwide
the album’s lead single “BELLA DONNA” managed to surpass the success seen by “SHE.” with a little over 300,000 units sold, it topped the BILLBOARD HOT 100, remaining there for a staggering SIX weeks. it topped charts in countless other countries, including south korea, where it debuted atop the GAON chart and remained there for FOUR weeks. it became the MOST STREAMED track on SPOTIFY within its first twenty-four hours, and would end up winning NINE music show awards, including a TRIPLE CROWN on M COUNTDOWN
following the release of “ROUGE” as a single, it was quick to replace “BELLA DONNA” on the charts. remaining atop the BILLBOARD HOT 100 chart for THREE weeks and atop the GAON chart for TWO, it won TWO music show awards. it fell into the top ten after its tenure on the charts, but after gaining traction on tiktok, the track rose to a surprising number two on the BILLBOARD chart. additionally, upon the album’s release, every track on it ended up occupying a spot on the ITUNES chart. it also garnered numerous awards at end of the year award shows, including ALBUM OF THE YEAR at the MAMAs
🌹 — CRITICAL RECEPTION !
as expected, ROSES was met with immense critical acclaim. like JANG-MI’s previous works, this album saw the most praise for her vocal performance and lyricism, as well as for the album’s production. as most of the tracks were written, composed, and produced by JANG-MI, many critics claimed that it added to the album’s more personal subject matter when it called for it, making it much more “raw”
receiving a 90 on METACRITIC, this album became one of JANG-MI’s most critically acclaimed albums to date. critics and fans alike fell in love with the richness of its production, as well as for the nuances in her lyrics and the more “gothic”and elegant concept in an industry where girl crush was becoming the norm. many claim that a standout track is “ROUGE,” as its production is a “feast for the ears,” and the lyrics discussing a toxic, failed relationship are some of JANG-MI’s best. other favorites include the pre-release track and the lead single, as well as “ANYTHING BUT,” “LIKE THAT,” “UP THE WALL,” “BY THE PHONE (AGAIN),” and “SAY THE WORD.” the use of R&B in the tracks is seen as one of JANG-MI’s signatures, and the public was pleased to see that it was utilized in her first korean album in addition to more traditional sounding pop
the last track is especially a favorite, as it’s more vocal heavy ballad that was written and composed by JANG-MI in a mere thirty minutes. it discusses the feeling of abandonment, desire to be loved, and confusion that she hadn’t been able to shake for over two decades, which came with the sudden experience of being ripped away from her biological parents before she even got to meet them. critics constantly praised this track, calling it the rawest and most personal one on ROSES
the public ate up this album, claiming it was one of the best debuts in the industry and expressing astonishment that such rich, nuanced production came from YG, especially in its more recent years. although TEDDY PARK handled a lot of the album’s production (alongside MOONSHOT and SHINSADONG TIGER), JANG-MI had complete control over the creative direction, composition, arrangement, and she would constantly give her two cents while in the studio, which explains the album’s depth and diversity. by the end of the year, ROSES was listed on the rankings of many publications and was lauded across the world
Tumblr media
🌹 — STYLING !
Tumblr media
the styling was so distinct this era, but still very cohesive !
there were flowy fabrics and lighter colors used for “SHE,” shades of red and flower motifs for “BELLA DONNA,” and lace + gothic elements for “ROUGE” ! there was also some corsets used here and there, especially from vivienne westwood
a lot of mirror palais and dior used too sjiwjs like yg went all out for her !
her makeup was very put together for “SHE” and “BELLA DONNA,” featuring soft eyeshadow in shades of pink, red, silver, or white. there were lots of sparkles used, as well as pearls, bows, or flowers around her eyes ! there was this one stage where a lot of pink blush was used on her cheeks, and for “BELLA DONNA,” her signature was red lipstick !
the makeup for “ROUGE” was dark all over, with heavy, smudged eyeliner and colors such as dark purple, dark red, and black. the sparkles were more minimal, but rhinestones were used around JANG-MI’s eyes, and sometimes, her mascara would be done in a way to make it look like she’d been crying ! there were crosses painted around her eyes, broken hearts painted on her cheeks, the whole nine yards !
the styling for her music videos was also insane ! it was so princess like for “SHE,” with lots of florals, corsets, and dresses used ! “BELLA DONNA,” of course, had a lot of cut outs, rose motifs, and shades of red, while “ROUGE” was a combination of the two !
the budget was crazy too bc there was archive mugler, vivienne westwood, dior, and chanel all over the place ! and ofc, JANG-MI had a hand in the styling, as well, bc she put together over twenty outfits for her music videos !
the fashion girlies were eating her looks up, though ! like she truly looked incredible
Tumblr media
🌹 — ERA HIGHLIGHTS !
although she was exhausted due to release of her english album earlier in the year, jang-mi had so much fun during this era !
prior to the album’s release, some pretty unique teasers were released !
we got four posters that looked like they were ripped straight out of a vogue editorial, two concept videos (titled “ROSA” + “SPINA”), a moving poster (!!), and a highlight medley in the form of live performances !
the music video teasers were also incredible bc they truly looked like a movie
now buckle up bc a lot happened after the album’s release sjhdjdk
thirty minutes before the release of “BELLA DONNA,” there was a countdown livestream held, and it was so funny bc her staff intentionally chose questions that would annoy her sjiwjsjsk
they even chose questions that she answered already and jang-mi was yelling her head off ! she was tired y’all
at the end, she was asked to give a spoiler, and she almost danced to the entire chorus of her song BSMSJD her staff were all “that’s too much !” and jang-mi was sitting there cheesing
had to get her revenge !
following the music video’s release (which got 70 MILLION views within its first twenty-four hours !), jang-mi was everywhere !
all over korean television, doing a thousand magazine interviews (her puppy interview with buzzfeed is a fan favorite always !), appearing on radio shows, and she even got herself a lil vogue korea cover !
her running man episode was so good ! she was absolutely hilarious, and all the yelling she did gave knetz a new meme sjdksh
she was also on when mom’s asleep ! the promo was serious !
and oh her showcase, y’all,, jang-mi had a crowd of 30,000 at gocheok sky dome,, that many people for a SHOWCASE !
it was fun and it was your typical showcase, but then she found out that her family and her boyfriend came,, oh girl she cried like a baby,, and reportedly, they all took a picture backstage, but we simply never got it
jang-mi wants to protect the identities of her family, and that’s okay !
afterwards, we got a lil live performance on youtube ! it was like tiny desk but not really, and oooo girl that video went so viral
we know jang-mi can sing, but she hit a whistle note during “UP THE WALL” and practically parted the red sea
the band renditions were also so good ! till this day, fans are still begging yg for a live album skjdkdj
at the end of the year, she was a headliner at new year’s rockin’ eve ! she hadn’t been since 2016, so ny rosies were thrilled
girl the labelmate support was strong !
jang-mi was making tiktoks with blackpink almost every day ! when she did the #RougeChallenge (which was HUGE) with lisa the world truly stopped
and girl she and jennie became THEE duo in kpop that year ! just two mothers mothering like
the girls even showed up to jang-mi’s showcase !
and it was too sweet bc they literally trained together ! like at that point they hadn’t seen each other in four YEARS, and then they literally reunited after they both found success like how prophetic is that !
those girls were jang-mi’s best friends when she was a trainee like </3 the reunion was everything truly
and omg the jangtan interactions !
they were crossing paths all over the place like skhwjdjd and they already met during the amas in 2017 so ! they were sat next to each other at award shows, they took pictures at new year’s rockin’ eve, and their tiktok pages were FULL of each other for a good two weeks MSNKJSJS
and she and namjoon clicked ! they were discussing literature every time they saw each other
jang-mi also had a few japanese promos ! she was on the cover of vivi (with a lil rockstar concept going on !), and ofc, she was also all over japanese tv skiwjsj held an album press conference there, too !
all in all, an incredible debut ! jang-mi had to rest for the next 5 years, but the public loved her and she truly made waves <33

22 May 2023, Dreamcatcher, 3 points of anticipation for their 8th mini album, end of the apocalypse universe
First. Apocalypse trilogy finale
Dreamcatcher fought for environmental protection in ‘MAISON’, and presented a more peaceful method by delivering a warning message for the earth in ‘VISION’. Throughout it all, Dreamcatcher realizes that this story that started with ‘us’ can only be finished by ‘us’, and they plan to end the apocalypse trilogy by saying their goodbyes through ‘BONVOYAGE’.
They especially boast a well-composed narrative created by the storytelling of ‘Save us’, ‘Follow us’ and continued by ‘From us’. Even though the theme is something that’s hard to convey within an alternate universe, Dreamcatcher has been spreading good influence in their own way, and attention is once again focused on what kind of emotions they will convey this time.
Second. Dreamcatcher’s conveyed ‘emotions’
Through this new album Dreamcatcher sings about happiness, joy, confusion, anger, love, etc., emotions that you cannot avoid and must accept if you are human. Dreamcatcher has focused on one specific emotion in each song of their completed B-side tracks, boasting detailed expressiveness and increased immersion for listeners.
In addition, not only do the members give each song a twist through their unique vocals, but the album’s appeal is maximized by the perfect synergy created by the rock sound that you can call Dreamcatcher’s identity. Curiosity is piqued around what kind of message Dreamcatcher will deliver while singing with a variety of emotions.
Third. First comeback of 2023…Continuing global growth

[ARTICLE] Lay Zhang Signs With Range MEdia (EXCLUSIVE)
Tumblr media
Range Media Partners has signed Chinese actor, singer-songwriter, dancer and fashion icon Lay Zhang and will represent him globally across all areas.
The 31-year-old star, who operates under multiple pseudonyms including Lay and Little Sheep, rose to fame as a former member of K-Pop boyband EXO before launching a solo career, already is a household name in Asia, boasting more than 80 million followers across social media.
As an actor, he stars under his full name Zhang Yixing in the Chinese box office smash “No More Bets,” which has earned more than $527 million in China to date, becoming the country’s biggest hit of the summer. Zhang is now the youngest and fifth-ever Chinese actor to reach this box office milestone. “No More Bets” also received a limited release in the U.S. on Sept. 1.
Next year, he will be seen starring opposite Jackie Chan in the film “A Legend.” His other film credits include films “The Island” and “Kung Fu Yoga,” and he has also appeared on the TV series “Go Fighting!” and “Idol Producer,” serving as a judge and host on the latter.
Since his rise as a core member of EXO, he embarked on a solo career, with his debut EP “Lose Control” hitting No. 4 on Billboard’s U.S. World Albums chart. He is the first Chinese solo artist to hit the Top 25 on the Billboard 200 and the first Chinese solo artist to hit Top 5 on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart.
In August, Zhang’s “Grand Line Tour” concerts in Shenzhen and Beijing immediately sold out, with more than 30,000 tickets purchased within seconds of going on pre-sale, leading to additional concerts being added in Shanghai, Nanjing and Chongqing.
As a global brand ambassador, Zhang is currently working with Hublot, Sprite, Fila and Bang & Olufsen. He was Calvin Klein’s first Chinese global spokesperson for their underwear and jean lines and the first Valentino, Converse, Perrier, MAC and Daniel Wellington spokesperson in China.
“Lay Zhang is exactly the type of artist Range was built for. He’s a true multihyphenate with global appeal,” said Range Music managing partner Cory Litwin and Range co-founder and CEO Peter Micelli in a joint statement. “With the recent breakthrough success of his latest film, ‘No More Bets,’ his presence onscreen shows big box office potential.”
Zhang, who is fluent in Mandarin, Korean and English, joins a Range Music roster that has made impressive strides since its inception two years ago. The division launched its own label in partnership with Capitol Music Group and Virgin Music & Artist Label Services and represents a wide range of talent including Jack Harlow, Saweetie, Justin Tranter, Cordae, Midland, Murda Beatz and Nicky Romero. The division earned seven Grammy nominations this year, with Nova Wav nabbing two awards for its production and songwriting work on Beyonce’s “Renaissance.”

Is this ineffectual management in the room with us? Louis and Matt Vines have been hamstrung at every turn: being blacklisted by radio, festivals and reviewers in the UK and US, being saddled with a Sony selected PR agent who seems more interested in Louis’s ability to wipe Harry Styles ass whenever he shits himself in public than providing opportunities to promote Louis. P op Despite that they have steadily built Louis career. They have had to think outside the box and outside traditional markets to do it. But they have done it, increasing his sales (not streams but then streaming is unlikely to make them money anyway) and the crowd sizes at his shows. There is also a high standard to everything they do. There will probably be an upper limit to what they can achieve that way but it’s still a creditable performance.
I’m sorry but Matt Vines and Louis have squandered so many opportunities that his fandom handed to them on a plate.
They did nothing to encourage streaming of Walls music videos, nothing to promote Walls after the album was released, nothing to promote Faith In The Future after it was released except a digital album to increase sales to existing fans.
Louis was invited to livestream Walls with Tim Burgess in April 2020. Nothing happened.
The fandom brought Walls to iTunes #1 worldwide in October 2020. Did LTHQ hold any streaming parties or promote the album in any way? They let the opportunity go. Nothing was written about it. No interviews. No media releases.
Project Defenceless— fans got iHeart to play Defenceless eight Saturdays in a row. There was absolutely no follow-up and no acknowledgement.
I’m not even going to regurgitate LTHQ’s screw-ups with 1. Telling UAs to tell followers to stop streaming Walls in the middle of release week, 2. Not knowing Billboard’s bundling rules days before Walls released, and having to change fans’ pre-orders so they wouldn’t be invalidated (a UA spotted the mistake), 3. Causing all Amazon and Googleplay Walls pre-orders to be canceled merely days before Walls was released, 4. Not having enough hard copies of AOTV DVD on hand to get FITF charting when it was released, 5. Not publicizing either Live From London or AFHF 2021 in any music publications, 6. Announcing AFHF 2023 two months before the festival, with hardly any time to plan airfare and accommodations, 7. LTWT22: Asia— no lithos, no merch, nothing acknowledging this leg even exists on Louis’ merch site, 8. Rinse and repeat the terrible treatment of Asian fans… FITFWT23: Asia— what the fuck happened? Why did Louis even go to Japan only to cancel tour, and give no explanation to thousands of fans who had booked plane tickets and hotel rooms? They deserve an explanation. 9. The potential for Written All Over Your Face to be a viral single?? To take off on Instagram and Tiktok? And they just let it die.
As for Simon Jones… I have no idea why he’s still around, but how do you know that the reason is Sony? And if not Sony, Jones is possibly the worst person for Louis’ brand— so why does Louis keep him? Louis does feel comfortable with “the devil you know,” but this is a bad reason to keep Jones’ smirking face around. The best thing Louis and Matt Vibes did in terms of marketing is to assign 28 Clothing to a different company.
I do agree that Matt Vines is the cautious naysayer who balances out Louis’ unbridled optimism, and he has applied the strategy he uses for Hurts to Louis— but Hurts and Louis are not the same type of artists, and Louis isn’t going to tour to 30-something guys who think they’re into niche music. If he aspires to music management or a music label, how will Matt Vines get him industry street credit?
One way is what we’re seeing right now— Louis playing festivals. Louis needs to earn that respect from fans on a one-to-one level. Media are already biased against Louis in most markets. He’s not headlining every festival, which (I think) is a good thing. He needs to prove himself, to prove that he put in the time, put in the work, and deserves those Rolling Stones or Brits or MTV nominations and awards. In a way, playing festivals is a bigger challenge than touring, and Louis is much more ready now compared to when he played iHeart in 2017, or Hits Live or CCME or Telehits in 2019. He is up to the challenge.
I will also agree that Matt Vines has ensured that Louis’ work is always presented with beautiful aesthetics and high production value. His albums will always sound gorgeous. His tours look meticulous. Louis himself is extremely disciplined. But I attribute this more to Louis’ eye and perfectionism than to Matt Vines.

A Korean Career Center professor gives an interesting analysis of #BTS's #Jin personality
Tumblr media
Fans know Jin to be one of the pillars of BTS. His beautiful vocals and personality make many people fall in love with him.
Tumblr media
Korean Career Center released a short analysis of BTS's Jin as an artist and person. Kim Jin is a Korean Career Design Qualification Course professor and the Korea Career Design Society president. He works with such major Korean institutes as Seoul National University, Samsung Group, Sungkyunkwan University, and more.
Tumblr media
In the video, the professor goes into depth about Jin's role in BTS and his core personality. Kim Jin paid lots of attention to analyzing Jin's exceptional musical sense. Kim Jin also talked about Jin being an 'observer' type of person and explained how it helps him in life.
youtube
Here is the complete English translation of his analysis of Jin:
"Jin is responsible for providing stability to the vocal line of BTS, and he possesses a clear and bright tone in his singing. As a result, Jin has been recognized by netizens as having the most comfortable and soothing vocal tone and has been ranked as the top choice in this category. Jin's vocal ability allows him to approach various ranges, including falsetto and lower registers comfortably. His voice has a very soothing and calming quality that can be appreciated across different styles and genres of music. One of Jin's characteristics is having the highest musical sense among his creative tendencies. Jin is responsible for taking on the role of such a vocalist who delivers very beautiful, tranquil, and emotionally stirring vocal tones that can change and evolve over time. In particular, when listening to Jin's music, it can make your heart resonate and feel moistened as if the dew falls in the morning and moistens the heart; he has a stable vocal range that does not waver.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Therefore, Jin possesses a vocal ability and music that anyone can listen to and appreciate. In a word, I would like to say that Jin's vocal ability is a blessing to his vocal cords. The blessing of natural vocal cords. How much effort did he put in? Therefore, he is very familiar with delivering BTS's smooth and highly emotional music to the public. And another thing is that even in parts where the beat slows down, these are the parts where he is able to deliver the entire range of high notes effortlessly. When experts like Jin listen to a song, there's something about it that makes them want to watch more and gives them a stronger impression. You know the feeling, right? Among such octave-based synesthesia creative talents, he has an outstanding musical sense.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Moreover, not only this kind of emotional and soft music In the song 'Moon' from the Map of the Soul album, he showed not only bright and cheerful music but also very dynamic vocals. Therefore, 'Moon' ranked high on pop song charts worldwide on iTunes. It even demonstrated an amazing achievement by taking the top spot in 110 countries.
Tumblr media
Also, if you watch Jin closely, even though he may not say much, he is very good at acting through facial expressions. Even in variety shows, where he could talk a lot, he can be reserved at times and has very intense eye contact as well. The reason for this is because..He also has the ability to speak well. He has a cooperative personality. However, he is mainly quiet and doesn't speak much. This is because 'observers' have the ability to observe things well.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Therefore, he is said to be very fond of fishing in reality. People who have an observational sense can keep looking at one thing. So that's why he gives off a reserved impression. So the unique aspect is that he has the characteristic of being observant. Another thing is something that everyone acknowledges. He has a very young face. So he was chosen as the scientifically handsome man by overseas plastic surgeons, ranking first. He was also voted as the world's most sculptured face by the Czech doll designer team.
Tumblr media
And another notable characteristic is..Even though he is the oldest member and could command respect, Jin doesn't seem to have that kind of presence. In fact, Jin has a very admirable personality. He takes care of his younger members very well, without any hint of favoritism or superiority. That is truly a commendable aspect of his personality. He has a very sociable and upright personality.
Tumblr media
Also, due to his wide network of acquaintances, he surprisingly has a communicative nature. Although he may be reserved, he still has a communicative nature similar to that of Octa Gnosis Loop (terminology). Also, he tends to take negative comments or harsh remarks in stride and remain cool about it. The parts like that can be seen as good personality traits or examples of stress management and self-care, depending on how you look at it.
Tumblr media
He is able to handle the stress without letting it build up too much, and he is also no stranger to facing crises with the other members. I don't know if BTS is facing any internal crisis. It's really impressive that they have managed to pass through this and become a globally loved group that anyone can love in today's world. I think Jin played a big role in BTS becoming a global group.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That's right, Jin has a natural tendency to think harmoniously about the group and organization, which contributes to their cohesion and teamwork. Interestingly, Jin was the first member to develop his own content, showcasing his abilities in creating unique and entertaining contents - EAT JIN. These parts make up Jin's present day. He is observant and creative.
Tumblr media
I could also mention the aspect of having communicative tendencies. And one more thing! Because it has a normative tendency that serves as a seasoning base. In today's terms, one could say that..he can take a role of organization's leader, becoming an invisible helped to all people. It is because he has that aspect of being faithful to the organization. That is why Jin has been playing the role of an 'invisible supporter'. It is because Jin played a role in BTS at the right timing. I hope that BTS member Jin will continue to thrive and succeed. Thank you!"

Life and career
1983–2006: Childhood and early career
Mika was born in Beirut, the third of five children (three sisters Yasmine, Paloma and Zuleika and one brother Fortuné), to an American-born Lebanese mother and an Israeli-born American father, Mary Joan "Joannie" (née Mouakad, daughter of John Mouakad and Odette Farah) and Michael Holbrook Penniman (son of William Frederick Penniman III and Dorothy Dyar). His father was a banker[7][11] and was born in Jerusalem, where his own father – Mika's paternal grandfather William Frederick Penniman III – was a diplomat.[11][12] Mika's maternal grandfather John Mouakad was Syrian (from Damascus).[13][14]
When Mika was a year old, his family was forced to leave war-torn Lebanon and moved to Paris, France.[12][15] The first piano piece he learned to play was "Les Champs-Élysées", by Joe Dassin.[12] At the age of 7, he wrote his first song, a piano instrumental called "Angry", which he describes as "awful".[7] The family moved to London when he was 9 years old. There, he attended the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle, where he experienced severe bullying. He also had problems with dyslexia. In response to these experiences Mika was home-schooled by his mother at the age of 12, for six to eight months.[7] He then attended St Philip's School in Kensington, where he was the head of the Schola Cantorum (the St. Philip's Choir). Later he attended Westminster School and the Royal College of Music, which he left to record his first album at Casablanca Records.[16] As a child Mika was trained by Alla Ardakov (Ablaberdyeva), a Russian opera professional.
Mika's first single was a limited 7"/download release called "Relax, Take It Easy" (2006). It was play-listed by UK's BBC Radio 1 and was made Record of the Week by DJ Scott Mills. The Dodgy Holiday EP also became available for download. The song "Billy Brown" was available for free download for a week from the iTunes Store. A song titled 'Over-rated', which was recorded in 2004, was "unofficially" released online. His debut radio appearance was on Dermot O'Leary's BBC Radio 2 show in September 2006.
