I took a break from the Ginn Hale books to read this one, that had been on my to-read list for only a few months but just wouldn’t keep sitting there patiently for me to pick it up. Like, it kept signalling me, taunting me. Haunting me. And now I know why. This book is epic! And, oh joy! It’s the first in a series of 6, that is unpublished as of yet but written and finished. The world-building is overwhelming, the amount of characters, places e.a. being introduced is crushing but the main characters and the story are so intriguing that none of it ever discouraged me. This book gripped me from the first page till the last, upon the first read. I need to catch my breath and then dive in it once again ASAP.

Now I get to the reason why I’ve been so eager to update my Tumblr: I finished The Kheld King and I’m so damned emotional about it! Hooked! Couldn’t put it down! 

There is one character death I’m going to be grieving about for some time to come. But the last scene in the book is so splendid and the excerpt from the next book so promising I’ll ... make myself get over it. Is it next year yet? I need to know what happens next!
