#The masculinity he is forced to perform bc ppl need that from him but he is always miserable when he does it

i think that anon is talking about alien stage and usually i'm veryy skeptical of fandom antics as a dark skinned girlie myself but the ship they're talking about is most likely hyunaluka where luka is a manipulative yandere esque guy forced to perform for the aliens where hyuna is a rebel from the human resistance and also the girl he's obsessed with. It's also implied that he killed her brother due to jealousy reasons.
Now yes the fandom has a tendancy to oversimplify their dynamic as "girlboss x omega bby"and most people who do this aren't interested in the ship itself bcs of hyuna being a woc obviously they're also minors as most ppl in the fandom but canonically luka IS weaker than hyuna physically, he's treated like a "princess" by his alien fans & owner because he's their property. While hyuna is a girlboss because she's a resistance leader who FIGHTS. She's also allowed to have more "masculine" traits like she can drink & smoke because she's free. So while i agree somewhat with OP my issue is that this ship is always under extra scrutiny because it's m/f & hyuna is darker. People either ignore it because hyuna doesn't fit their racist lens or people shit on it bcs how dare a woc be involved in a toxic dynamic. The same fandom has both m/m & f/f ( both with pale characters) toxic ships but no one bats an eye at their dynamic while lukahyuna gets the heat and as a woc myself who likes problematic ships it's really tiring. Yt girls can have all types of ships but we're stuck with the vanilla ones.
(cont.) also!! Sorry for clogging your asks with a random fandom but the "aggressor" blonde guy is very clearly a victim too as the premise of the whole thing is that all humans are owned by aliens who make them sing on a stage to survive and he's the star winner who's both beautiful, has won previous rounds and popular amongst the aliens. It's been implied that he's been sexually and physically abused like the rest of the characters. The only difference is that he's not a perfect victim because he's manipulative and obsessive. Now if he was shipped with a white girl everyone would be writing desertions on why he's a huge victim and how important this bond is but because it's a woc ppl would rather call it a "uwu bby boy x badass girl" ship or just call him an aggressor and evil guy than discuss those topics.
thanks for bringing some much needed context to the "alien stage" thing cuz i have next to no knowledge about it. also this is SO interesting, especially in terms of race & colorism within anime shows (web series? i don't really get its format; i feel very old lol). and yes, i feel you very hard about all the extra scrutiny woc ships get within fandom.
