I found your paul/irulan story by chance and GOD I'm obsesseddddd can't wait for chapter 5. I'm crazy about their dynamic and the way you write Paul, might be my favorite fanfic depiction of him so far! Please, tell me you're going to write more for this pair, I'm sounding like a crackhead already lol

ahhh thank you, i'm so glad you're having a blast <3 chapter 5 is hopefully coming this weekend (if the academic gods are willing). as for more paul/irulan, i first want to finish this story, which is kind of growing with each chapter, and i'll see afterwards if i want to tackle other AUs. i do also want to write some feyd rautha fics, but we'll see!

I wanted to tell you that I love your writing. I read 1918 and it is, wow, the setting, the narration, the rhythm of the story, the construction of the characters, everything is incredible. It seemed very murky to me (in the best of ways). I like the way of portraying the trauma and psychological repercussions of the war, the metaphors and the plot twists at the end. And that in the end there was always something damaged, broken and rotten in the characters, it was a twist that I loved. It is a very well constructed story, it is a psychological horror that I would love to read again and again. Thanks for writing it and sharing it :)

I also wanted to ask you if you would consider writing an ewanphia fic at some point (only if you want and can, otherwise it's okay hehe)

saw ur tswift x post malone tweets while i agree i got suckered into tswift x matty healy lore bc of the new album and thought they'd be ur kind of crazy? 10 year will they won't they! all those men but that guy was her muse after all these years? some people say they'll go insane over someone but i honestly believe that she did. that's when i thought a thefudge one-shot of them would be so good ((sorry i'm rly just a fan or ur work!!))

i really liked this interpretation of feyd rautha! yes, the margot seduction scene was one of the best parts of the whole film. i ship him with irulan and chani (and maybe paul in an AU i have in mind), and i guess i ship him with margot too, but probably i'd want to do feyd/irulan first.

hiii !! injust found your Irulan x Paul fanfic on ao3. I was wondering what about their dynamics inspired you to write it?? what do you enjoy about their characters individually? Since I just watched the movies and my knowledge of Dune is very limited, I was so intrigued by the chemestry between them on screen!!! Seeing their marriage fleshed out in your story is such a great pleasure, you write so well!

Also, I just figured out about how their marriage was just for show in the books, been heartbroken ever since, found the ao3 tag and there's just 55 fics with them (disapointing but oh well). Yours is definitely the best.

what got me into their dynamic is the fact that irulan is not only a second choice, but an undesired one. paul marries her for political reasons, in order to legitimize his take-over and to make sure no one else will marry her and possibly have a claim on the throne through her child (which is why he doesn't allow her to have children with other men, for instance, even though he has chani as concubine). it's all very calculated and necessary, and he often insists on the fact that he feels nothing for her, maybe only some kind of grudging respect (she is useful to him in many ways) but otherwise chani is his first and only love. and i really dig that kind of scenario: i actually prefer it when the future love interest is not just an enemy, but someone discarded or put aside, someone who comes after the supposed great love. and i love writing about hateful marrieds who have to make it work for political reasons. i also love it when the male character has to eat his words as he slowly has to deal with budding feelings for the wife he should despise. it's absolutely my kind of conflict. i'm definitely departing from canon in many ways and i've probably gotten a lot of things wrong (i haven't finished the books yet), but i hope i capture their spirit and that my story feels dune-adjacent

i rewatched dune 2 the other day and noticed him ogling her idk they just seemed really interesting to me

funny you should mention feyd/irulan because my original plan was to write for them BEFORE writing paul/irulan, but things just got away from me! i actually created a feyd/irulan playlist weeks ago because i expected to post a fic soon (i started a draft, it's at 1500 words), but then the paul/irulan story took over me and i had to temporarily set any feyd rautha fics aside. but yeah i definitely noticed him ogling her!! like, i was already writing the oneshot while i was in the theater. i will get to it after i finish paul/irulan. i think i also want to write some feyd/OC fic, but probably just a oneshot. feyd/chani also appeals to me? lol there's so much fanfic to write, i hope i can get to all of it! but feyd/irulan is definitely on the docket (they just got bumped down because i love married people who kind of hate each other)

i've received a bunch of asks about these two! i looked them up in the tags (and saw quite a bit of buzz on twitter too) and i definitely see the appeal (hello walter goggins), the tension and the interesting back and forth, they kind of remind me of william and dolores from westworld, so i am here for it, but i will be honest that i'm not sure if/when i'll get to watching it, i've got other stuff to finish watching/writing, and i don't feel so compelled to make it a priority. i think i might just keep up with it in the tags and see how it goes (i've also never played the game so i guess i'm not that attached to it as an entity?)
