#The way I was gaslighted into thinking Jaskier was a main character like for 4 episodes I was going 'which one's Jaskier??? where is he 🤨'

Not deep into The Witcher (Netflix) fandom and haven't watched the new season yet but did they create this new character to distract the Geraskier shippers for long enough while Yenskier happens orrrrr

Having watched season 3 of Witcher (can't criticize something I haven't seen) and now I can fully say they fucked Henry Cavill over completely, his character being reduced to side character when he's in fact supposed to be the main one.

There is not a single character that hasn't been fucked up by the atrocious writing which I can just smell was influenced by those ridiculous showrunners who called Henry over-enthusiastic (lord forbid he wanted to be able to have more than three sentences at a time that did not include 'hmmm' and 'fuck') and openly stated that they had to 'dumb down' the story for the audience now that the season is out and backlash is amazing; and for once aimed at the right people.

Also, hill I will die on, since they decided to give Geralt romance (which is fine, there's options for that in the games and they're enjoyable) by everything presented it should have been either Jaskier (cowards) or Triss Merigold (cowards). Not gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss Yennefer (I'm so sorry they wrote you that way sweetie).

They really did kill a complete, very popular IP just like that huh? Also...who actually at Netflix HQ in charge of the Witcher thinks anyone is gonna watch the travesty of season 4 (if it ever gets made) with Liam Hemsworth of all people playing Geralt instead of Henry?

So. I’m gonna level with you, I came out of the movie theatre after the Eternals like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ it was a movie that happened. The main characters’ relationships were pretty bland (the two-timing - or whatever the heck was happening there - was also kinda meh), the whole Ikaris being the surprise villain wasn’t the twist it thought it was, I literally watched his entire character arc on The Boys (Not to mention the moment the movie opened I was reminded of Shazam the movie and that impression stayed with me for half the runtime). Ikaris flying into the sun to die was less poetic cinema and more absolutely hilarious. He didn’t even say anything! Bitch really just stood there for a bit and then zoomed off into the sun! Overall, for all that some people praise it for breaking away from the formulas of Marvel movies, it’s a pretty formulaic movie in and of itself and I wasn’t all that impressed, just briefly entertained.

That said, Makkari is Best Girl and I’m living for “My beautiful, beautiful Makkari” till the end of days 😤
