It’s really nice to see a relationship in warriors fail through no one’s fault with no drama, it just didn’t work out, and both parties still are on good terms and supportive of one another.

The new names in the allegiances look so unnatural and fanficky next to the names from Cloudstar’s Journey

Honestly most of the new cats’ names and descriptions look like they were created by one of those perchance clan generators

Not sure how I feel about Stormclan happening almost immediately after Skyclan left

They still remember the Blazing star prophecy apparently??

Galepaw??? Have you still not memorized all your clanmates?? You told him he smelled like trees?? So you noticed his scent is different from your clan’s smell right?? Galepaw???

And they have apparently formed a connection that makes them still think of each other when they both seem to have moved on with other cats as mates.

But they’ve never ever tried to speak again. For some reason. Why? Who the hell knows. Wow, such a strong relationship. Really can see them try to MERGE THEIR CLANS JUST TO BE TOGETHER in the future.

They introduced Stripestar’s mate just to immediately kill her off a couple of pages later for manpain (which he’ll get over soon probably). RIP Fogdrift, we hardly knew you and you’ll probably be absolutely forgotten after a couple chapters, you deserved better.

Pebblenose has been going behind Galestar’s back and omitting the fact that he and his warriors are regularly breaking the warrior code which caused a huge conflict and an unnecessary battle with casualties. Best most trustworthy deputy right there. Galestar is slightly annoyed by this teeny tiny betrayal of her trust. I have a feeling she won’t do anything about this later. Great.

I’m disappointed that we won’t get to see how they grew up and came to power like I expected from this book.

My theory is that the clans themselves will get closer and more united as Stripestar and Galestar work together more and more often with plans like the one about taking Sunningrocks from Riverclan together so their merging wouldn’t sound as absurd as it did when we first learned Stormclan’s backstory (at least for me)

Huntheart and Roughpelt particularly have amazing new prefixes but Rosebush, Spotnose, Fogdrift, Thrushcall, Mudsplash are all SO GOOD! Also yes give me more gay cats please Thrushcall and Pebblenose are so cute

as a warrior cats prequel enjoyer i'm very much so looking forward to stormclans folly. also loving the new character names !! fogdrift, thrushcall, nettlesting, ravencry, and pinebrush are all peak imo
