babes have you seen charithra’s latest tweet 😬😬 I was willing to believe their words might’ve been misconstrued a little but …
You mean this one

where she reffers to this part of the interview:

I stand by what I said in my previous post, Kate and Edwina love each other and won't be fighting over a man. But just to elaborate, here's more of my opinions on the topic dear reader
And I like to start nothing that I always knew that the part of TVWL where Kate asks Anthony if he'd be okay marrying Edwina after kissing her sister, would come back to haunt me later and I honestly expected this from fanfiction, not from Netflix. (Because during that part of the book, I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks that in a darker timeline, Anthony would definitely have tried to pull a Benedict with Kate after the lack of sexual chemistry in his marriage to Edwina drove him mad)
And I'm not saying it could happen in the show. I'm saying that it's heavily implied by both characters that Anthony had it in him.
Well apparently show Anthony is taking this literally.
I'm going off on a limb and calling it right now. The love triangle,( if there is one at all), is definitely going to be a Princess and The Frog kind of situation. And yes, I also can't believe they are going to pull a Charlotte Lebouf with Edwina, but *sigh* the shoe fits.
I mean it's sort of close enough to the book cannon to be believable. Edwina is the type who is kind, sweet and probably only inlove superficially because Anthony is what she thinks she should love.
Like Charlotte and Naveen they sound like there's genuine affectionate friendship there, but they eventually realize that 1) they both love Tiana more and 2) they both deserve better, no matter how much they like each other.
So in my opinion this is where our infamous love triangle is headed after reading the EW article. Me thinks Edwina's won't be as hurt as we think when she realizes that her favorite suitor loves her sister more than her. Disappointed yeah, but not really heartbroken.
And that this will create a whole wreck for Kate internally. Not just because Edwina likes the guy, but because she's never thought herself a rival for someone Edwina wants in the first place. Kate would love to Katniss the whole love triangle right away and sacrifice herself and Anthony for her sister's happiness (it's just cannon that Anthony won't let her)... And just sort of accidentally end up married to him because they can't help all the sexual tension.
Why am I looking forward to that? I shouldn't be so mean! Why does this situation make me laugh so much?
Oh right because they both will be giving Anthony manwhore Bridgerton a headache. Not knowing if he's attracted to Edwina because he should be attracted to her or to Kate the woman who literally could step on him and he would thank her. Does he want to be a good Viscount who dies early? Or does he want to spend the rest of his life as Kate's sex slave? he likes them both and he should be picking the nice one who won't kill him if hooks up with Sienna after marriage, but nope, he wants that one, the one who will shoot him if he takes a mistress. Yes dear readers, anything that makes Anthony tear his hair out is funny as hell for me.
I shouldn't be enjoying this! I saw what butchering historical cannon in Hamilton did to Angelica Schuyler. ( But let's face it as much as we love Eliza and Alexander. If musical version Alexander Hamilton had married Angelica Schuyler, he'd probably still be alive and also the president. )
So, honestly speaking, I'm both looking forward to it and dreading the Tiana/Charlotte/Naveen mess this is going to be.
And that's the tea.

Regarding the drama (why is there always drama?) surrounding Rogers and Sabine below. A bit of a long post, so below the cut and not reblogged from anyone because, honestly, no one should be tied with my opinions without directly asking for it.
Here is the thing: I have yet to see anyone state that Rogers and Sabine should be or will be endgame. Literally not one. I, personally, do find their chemistry adorable and 100% support him having a crush on her. The fact of the matter is, the show hasn’t set up enough of a reason, yet, for some people to be excited about Sabine/Drew. He was barely just introduced and has been in two episodes, both of which show him betraying her for, yes, valid reasons, but that doesn’t necessarily lend itself to heart eyes. If it weren’t for the fact that we know the story of the Princess and the Frog, I highly doubt anyone at this point would be hardcore in their corner.
From what I’ve seen, no one is trying to erase Naveen. The show, honestly, was incredibly late introducing him and I think he should have been present long before he was. Now that he’s here, he still has to have a solid love story with Tiana in either the EF or HH in order for some people to go, “okay, there it is.” Even so, there’s no one saying that she should be with Rogers instead. Are they fully in support of her having fun with him before TLK with Naveen? For sure. Are they in support of Rogers having fun with someone because he’s otherwise the saddest of pandas and probably hasn’t had a date in actual decades? Absolutely. Sabine and Rogers are two sweet, beautiful adults who are shown to at the very least be friends who trust each other. There is absolutely no harm in saying there might be a bit of pining on one end until their full stories are realized and their happy endings with others are shown.
A big problem I’m having right now is I don’t think these troll anons are coming from a place of really wanting to support and build up a POC character. The crux of their frustration is shown by them, in one ask, introducing their frustrations by mentioning it’s specifically directed at people who are “anti-cs and had been pro-cs” and also by having a problem with Rogers being the one with the crush. How him having a bit of a fluttery heart over Sabine is racist, I have no idea, and how it erases Naveen is beyond me.
No, these are people who are against any version of Killian dating anyone who is not Emma and masking it as social activism. I honestly think it comes from the same people who have been calling this version of him as “fake” and would completely turn around and praise him if the writers did suddenly have him meet a “Wish Emma”.
Furthermore, the post in question was regarding their interactions in the previous episode, not the one from Friday, so that argument is also invalid.
If you’re looking to place blame for Naveen’s lack of a presence, look to the showrunners, not to the audience members seeing chemistry between two characters that is purposefully put there by the writers (ie. “My favorite detective.” “If that’s how this works, I’ll have to drop her off more often.”). I guarantee if you look back on previous posts from these people that are being bashed, they are in full support of seeing more of Naveen. Also, don’t invade others’ inboxes with complaints looking for either fights or to start a Beauty and the Beast-style mob.
Finally, a reminder that being critical of something does not mean being anti-something. Being critical of how CS was portrayed in certain points does not make someone anti-CS, it means they’re not blind following it and disregarding poor writing choices that go against what is known about the characters or plot. For instance, I’m critical of the fact that they brought Nick on to be a best friend to Henry and presented this interesting opportunity to have someone go from being a good guy for years, trying to change his life, to turning into a villain after he’s established relationships with these characters, only to have him quickly killed off when it felt like his story was just starting. If that’s all they were going to do, they really should have introduced Naveen as the best friend character who helped with the resistance, built a relationship with Tiana from there, and introduced Nick elsewhere. That’s me sticking in my opinion about writing choices, being critical of how it played out, but not being anti-s7, anti-Nick, or anti-Naveen.
