I think Tempest is mostly laid out now. More to add obviously, and put lines and colors on it. But it was quite a change from his original design from like...8 years ago lol. But yeh, very yuusha and gundam inspired as well as various other things that'll get written out eventually.

A friend of mine helped get his tail figured out by giving me a rough 3D model design to use as a reference. Thanks Jet. Another friend of mine helped design the bike as well. Thanks Scrunk.

This is also like...his first built look, when he was all clean and pretty. Current day he'll have dings, claw marks, broken pieces, etc. I have a lot of fun lil noted I'll be adding to this (like the optics you see are not his actual optics or sensors).

I also finished a massive write up for his pilot, Kim Ryder. Been doing a lot of writing lately it seems.

One of many wips, but I've been working lately on updating some old characters of mine and getting their world figured out. Doubt anyone here remembers Tempest (I first made him back in 2018), but he's getting a rehash, and a big write up, along with his pilot, Kim Ryder.

His world is a fantasy/scifi setting, similar to those like in Final Fantasy, Escaflowne, Megaman Legends, etc. Yes, we got giant robots, giant creatures, giant dragons, giant ships, and tons of other things. After hearing Ultron's voice lines in Rivals, I fucking lost it at him saying "SPIDERMAN" when asked which avenger he hated most. My dude, he's just a kid...even if he doesn't have a mute button lol.

Me and some peeps were talking about Gate, and I'm just now realizing I never uploaded this to Tumblr, it was only on dA (which I've canned). So uh...have a 5 year old pic lol.

Anyways, wanted to make a symbiote OC for funsies. I'm always a sucker for that synthwave color scheme tho. As for the name...I was looking up a lot of symbiotes and lists and stuff, and I didn't see a Mayhem until long after I had completely settled on it. So whatever I guess, my Mayhem has nothing to do with that comic one, didn't even find out about it til way later.

If you manage to read everything on there, cool. If not, understandable, there's a lot there.

Watch out for that drool tho...it's worse than you think (other than being gross lol). Altho he's kind an idiot, tho that might make him more dangerous, as he might send more of that hallucinogenic into someone instead of keeping it under control (like a baby snake or something). He gets sent to the pear wiggler alot.

I am very slowly working on this. Speed has never been my thing, which is why my blog has like one art thing a month maybe, unless I post a bunch of wips.

Anyways, been a bit rough trying to figure out his backside, since all the backside shots of him in the trailer are poor refs. I redrew his shoulder like 4x trying to figure it out before I finally realized that it's almost exactly the same as the front. Oh well. Now to just figure out that damn plating below his shoulder blade area. Why must it take so long for him to get added, blarg. End of May can't get here soon enough.

I still have a ton I wanna say on this design, but a wip doesn't feel like the right place to say it.

Bit of a wip...trying to draw the Rivals Ultron from the backside, cuz there's a lot going on there that I like. But current shots from the trailer make it hard to see specifics, so hopefully he'll be in the game soon so I can get better shots. But I really dig the back of his neck and spine area, love how those metal plates all come together. I still have so many thoughts about this design that I love.

I haven't posted non-art stuff in a while, but I have to comment on this observation I made with the new Ultron design...

He has a better line of sight when he's looking down on you. Seems fitting lmaoooo

Anyways, another Ultron thing, cuz why not lol. Make for a good sticker or something. I was trying a slightly different coloring style tho, in that the only gradients is the teal/purple sections. Everything else is hard edges and lines. Was aiming a bit on having quite a bit of angular-ness to it (I know it's still got lots of round too, but that's cuz his shape has a lot of round). But anyways...I'm fairly happy with it, especially his eyes.

Throwing Invictus out in the world before I spend more time on him. I wrote way more on this than I had intended (plus his has an actual doc write up of his full history rip). Not a lot of Maykr OCs out there, so gotta throw my boi out there. I purposefully changed the proportions, cuz I wanted to emphasis more that the Maykrs are aliens, so he is less human sized with longer limbs and body. I also like having the skirt armor being shortened up so you can see the tendrils better, but also cuz I hc they actually use those as additional limbs to work with.

Very rough breakdown of his history...was an ambassador of a world they were enlightening and such, had been with that world for several of it's generations, then the Khan Maykr was like "Yeh, this worlds only really use is for Hell to have" and there went the world he was in charge of. Needless to say, he wasn't happy, and has been trying to undermine the Khan Maykr since. You ever wonder where all those health packs, armor, ammo, and weapons the Slayer finds throughout the game came from?

I ended up picking one of the mugs and shading it. Turned out pretty nice, I like the colors. He's very handsome lol

Ok, I think I got Invictus his flat colors figured out. Rough idea for what I chose, since he was kicked out of Urdak, I didn't want him as white as the other Maykrs, so he got more red and black, but obviously not as much as a blood maykr (he's not corrupted). Kept the gold to a fair minimum as part of the whole thing too. I went with cool colors for the wings tho, as part of not being connected to the Singularity and the Khan Maykr anymore, and so he's mostly alone. I actually have a ton of things I wanna say about him to explain a lot of my choices, but I think I'll write that out when I actually finish this completely. Bonus close up:

Invictus lines are done, enjoy. Colors next. I'm actually gunna mostly follow the normal Maykr colors, but there will be more red and black than the usual, since he's been kicked out of Urdak.

I forgot to post the sketch page of Invictus lol...welp. Anyways, working on lining it out, then flats. Trying to push the maykr design to be a bit more alien in proportions, so he's lankier in looks. I got a write up for him too.
