Meadow Soprano and Shiv Roy are so similar it makes me sick.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These two women were born into wealth. They are go getting liberal leaning career girls. We are introduced to them as smart and ambitious women who have made a career outside the family business and believe themselves above it all.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shiv is estranged from her mother. Meadow looks down on hers for being a housewife. They are both regarded as better than their brothers by their father.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These two women are aware of the ugliness beneath their respective families business. The Mafia for Meadow and the massive cover up of sexual abuse by Waystar Royco for Shiv.
Which is why they distance themselves away from any association in the beginning convincing themselves that they are morally correct and self righteous for doing so, even though it was their family name that mainly brought them so far in their careers.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Though try as they might to rebel against their fathers, doing anything leftist to displease their conservative patriarchs. The allure and glamour of the high end lifestyle their fathers provide through spilt blood is too much to resist.
In the end, Meadow and Shiv waltz back in to the arms of the family business they once derided. Justifying to themselves once again why their choice is acceptable and what their family does is reasonable.

When athletic teen Mari Collingwood (Sara Paxton) opts to hang out with her friend Paige in town rather than spend an evening in with her parents vacationing at the family’s remote lake house, it marks the beginning of a night no one is going to forget. The two girls wind up in the company of escaped convict Krug (Garret Dillahunt) and his makeshift family of vile career criminals, who kidnap and brutally assault them before leaving them for dead. Fleeing from the scene of their violent crime during a storm, the thugs inadvertently seek refuge with Mari’s parents, anxious as to why their daughter hasn’t come home yet and primed to unleash the full forces of hell on anyone who would dare to touch so much as a hair on her head.

Was "The Best of Dr. Seuss" Really His Best Works?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Butter battles, daisies growing on heads and elephants hatching eggs galore, 2000's "The Best of Dr. Seuss" compilation program has the formulaic balance of entertainment that I'm sure that a child would love, right? Of course, we can see Dr. Seuss' beloved character The Cat in the Hat all over the packaging and your kid must think "Hey, it's that cat from the book I just read!". And you'd be correct. This is the 2003 DVD version I'll be covering here on this blog.
The first thing you'll notice right away when you pop in the disc is the menu design which pulls off some creative work the home video team at Warner Bros. had ever put out.
Tumblr media
As you can see, the menus themselves are drawn in Dr. Seuss' trademark art style with some detailed backgrounds. The Cat on both these and the packaging looked like he was traced from the book he originated from. However, you are not going to be ready for what he looks like in one of these stories.
Although all of these menus are presented in 16:9 widescreen if you play them on a computer like I do, the contents are actually in 4:3 aspect ratio. So, let's go through all three stories one at a time and see if they're a good fit on this DVD.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First, we have "Daisy-Head Mayzie", a TV special completed in 1994 -- given the copyright disclaimer, but never aired on TV until February 5, 1995. This would be one of Seuss' final works before he passed away. The special was previously released individually on VHS a few months after its original broadcast, and was also the final voice credit for Henry Gibson; already recognizable as the voice of Wilbur the pig from Hanna-Barbera's "Charlotte's Web" adaptation. A real coincidence, given that both Gibson and H-B worked on this, too.
Fran Smith, the voice of Helga in Nickelodeon's "Hey Arnold!" would make her voice acting debut in this special as the titular Mayzie McGrew. Now this is a year before that show would even premiere on TV, so I'm not surprised.
Yeah, this would be forgettable without the addition of The Cat in the Hat, which in this special looked A LOT more off-model than he does in the DePatie-Freleng specials. It almost makes it feel like a bootleg version of Seuss' popular character compared to what the packaging and menus gave us. Oh well, at least they tried.
One reason I like to know why they made him that way in the first place was this is a co-production between two unlikely companies that never even made any Dr. Seuss adaptations beforehand.
Tumblr media
As you may have just read from the credits, a British animation studio named Tony Collingwood Productions (now known as "Collingwood & Co.") was largely responsible for the production of this special.
So, you may get some Britishness in the way it was produced. Hanna-Barbera Cartoons, an otherwise American studio that got rebranded in 2001 as "Cartoon Network Studios",
I've never actually seen Hanna-Barbera work on a Dr. Seuss special before (rival studio DePatie-Freleng did most of their Seuss specials prior to this), so it is kinda interesting to see a British-American joint venture.
The special itself was.... eh, it was okay. I kinda prefer Seuss' original illustrations made before they were changed (the daisy being the only character to teach Mayzie a valuable lesson instead of The Cat), but I think this would be something interesting if you're a parent looking for entertainment for your youngest child.
Tumblr media
As for the quality? For a previously-separate TV special, it sure looked better on DVD than it ever does, due to it being remastered from the original material (at least for 2003 standards). While not Seuss' greatest work overall, it's so nice to see this being presented in clear pristine quality.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Another previously-separate TV special is adult film director Ralph Bakshi's version of "The Butter Battle Book", and is surprisingly better than I thought. It's accurate to the original source material and has rarely even been talked about due to its themes of war.
The original book had even gotten as far as having been banned in some Canadian libraries due to its close ties with the Cold War, which was still ongoing at the time of its publication.
Tumblr media
Now prove me wrong, I have never actually seen any of Bakshi's works, but this is something. I love how Bakshi and his team are able to keep the ending from the book, which ends the story on a cliffhanger. This was also released on VHS, but unlike "Daisy-Head Mayzie", there's actually TWO different releases of the same special released a few years from each other.
Although a much better special than "Daisy-Head Mayzie", the picture quality has the same level of squeaky clean quality as that special, so I'll forgo the explanation.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And to wrap up the compilation came not a TV special, but a cartoon short film created by Warner Bros. themselves! You heard me right. The boys at Termite Terrace made a 9-minute adaptation of Dr. Seuss' earlier book "Horton Hatches the Egg".
Directed by Bob Clampett, this is an unexpected surprise to anyone who grew up with any of Dr. Seuss' works (like me). What makes this especially perfect is the vocal performances of Kent Rogers, Sara Berner and Mel Blanc. Now, why did they make Horton's skin pink? Either it's a creative choice made by Clampett's unit or they felt that grey was too common for an elephant's color.
There IS a distinction between this and the other two Dr. Seuss stories I've covered so far and that as this is a Looney Tunes cartoon, it has actually had some home video releases in the 90s by both MGM/UA and Warner Bros.
Tumblr media
Also, the picture quality on this cartoon has the same level of excellence as the Golden Collection. So much so that it got re-released on DVD as part of the sixth volume of the Looney Tunes: Golden Collection series (which I'll get to when I'll do an entire blog on this series by itself).
Time to move onto the bonus features this DVD has.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So... all there is as extras are three trailers (or "Family Favorites" as the menus call them). Each of these trailers are for a collection of Tom & Jerry DVDs, the annoying little brat Caillou's Christmas-themed movie and a German animated film called "The Little Polar Bear" ("Der Kleine Eisbär").
You do have language options for the program itself, though they're for subtitles only. A real disappointment for those of you who are expecting dubs. I will admit, watching these in a subtitled language can be pretty fun, no matter if you're Hispanic or French-Canadian.
Tumblr media
Overall, if you are able to watch these three Dr. Seuss cartoons, I highly recommend picking up the 2008 Deluxe Edition "Horton Hears a Who" DVD. And in case you haven't read the copyright disclaimer on the cover, my copy is a 2010 reprint.
And by reprint, I mean the Warner Bros. home video department updated the packaging, but nothing else. This is something I'll see a lot more of when I look at a few other Warner DVD releases on this blog. So, keep an eye out!
By the way, both "Daisy-Head Mayzie" and "The Butter Battle Book" are free to watch on YouTube despite being under copyright. "Horton Hatches the Egg", however, is another story and is usually blocked worldwide on YouTube (I learned the hard way on how copyright works on there, so good luck watching it on Dailymotion if you can!)

This is what I be talking about there’s states that banned the costumes. The fact that this had to happen is a disgusting disgrace
AFL star Jack Ginnivan is slammed by fans by dressing as serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer for Halloween
Tumblr media
Collingwood's Jack Ginnivan has landed himself in hot water again, this time for glorifying a serial killer on .
The 19-year-old star posted images to social media of himself dressed as Jeffrey Dahmer, complete with blood-spattered shirt and his iconic glasses.
Dahmer was an infamous American serial killer known as the Milwaukee Cannibal or the Milwaukee Monster who brutally killed 17 people, often carrying out acts of necrophilia and cannibalism on his victims.
Tumblr media
He was recently portrayed by actor Evan Peters in the Netflix series Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which attracted strong criticism from the families of victims, including the mother of aspiring model Tony Hughes.
Ginnivan was widely panned for his costume choice on social media with many asking him to consider the victims' loved ones.
'I'm sure the families of the victims would like the reminder... Another eye rolling moment and a shaking of the head … tasteless is one word I could use,' one person posted.
Tumblr media
'You mean the Jeffrey Dahmer that senselessly and cruelly stole the lives of 17 young men? That Jeffrey Dahmer? How would you all be reacting if he'd dressed up as Martin Bryant? Gross,' posted another.
'These were real people. Human beings. With families and people who loved them,' one person posted along with an image of the victims, while tagging the Collingwood football club.
'What an absolute disgrace. AFL should fine and/or suspend him immediately,' posted another.
However many defended Ginnivan, saying objections were 'woke' and people calling Ginnivan out for dressing as a serial killer were 'snowflakes'.
'Ffs….how many others dress up for halloween…. Why pick on Jack?' one person tweeted.
'Anyone who is upset about this is a dork. It’s Halloween. People have been dressing as serial killers for decades. Don’t be such a loser,' tweeted another.
'Here come the woke haters,' posted yet another.
Earlier this year Ginnivan and Magpies teammate Isaac Quaynor were forced to apologise for taking part in an online trend of rating members of the opposite sex, with perceived negative traits attached.
Sign up for all the latest sports news…
It comes as Jeffrey Dahmer Halloween costume sales were banned for sale on eBay in the lead up to October 31.
An eBay spokesperson told CBS MoneyWatch that selling Dahmer paraphernalia violates eBay's 'violence and violent criminals policy.'
Specifically, the policy prohibits listings that 'promote or glorify violence or violent acts, or are associated with individuals who are notorious for committing violent acts,' and is intended to promote safety while respecting victims of violent crimes.
Tumblr media
Many US bars also outlawed Dahmer costumes - especially in LGBTQ+ bars in the serial killer's home town of Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
'We understand there's a generation out there that did not live this situation. They may not understand the severity of how it affected the community,' D.I.X. Milwaukee manager Eric Hamilton said.
'We don't want to put patrons in the situation where they would have to see or relive something that they had to truly experience.'

Tony Okanase, 39, was released on Friday from Mountain Institution. He reported to the halfway house but did not return later that day. The Vancouver Police Department issued a warning and issued a warrant for his arrest across Canada as a result.
Okanase was spotted by a community policing volunteer in the Joyce-Collingwood neighborhood on Saturday and "arrested without incident."
Okanase has a history of violent sexual offenses against strangers dating back to 2003, and is considered "a high risk to the public."

Last House on the Left
Last House on the Left is a 1972 American horror film directed by Wes Craven. It was remade in 2009 by Dennis Iliadis. Both films follow the storyline of Mari Collingwood who is abducted, raped, and tortured by a fugitive family. Mari, her family, and her best friend are at their Colling wood lake house when an escaped convict and his crew kidnap the two girls and leave them for dead. Mari makes her way home where she finds her parents offering shelter to her abusers. John and Emma, Mari’s parents, find out what happened to their daughter and seek revenge on those staying in their house. The film is full of tension and terror and leaves you wondering what will happen next. Nigel Floyd writes, “Dennis Iliadis's remake retains its ferocious power and provocative themes, and thanks to a focused script that unfolds in real-time, it ratchets up the suspense and sucks us into a remorseless cycle of violence and revenge,” (Floyd, 2009).
Tumblr media
In the 2009 film, Sarah Paxton plays Mari, Monica Potter plays Emma, and Tony Goldwyn plays John.
For the antagonists, Krug is played by Garret Dillahunt and Francis is played by Aaron Paul. The characters fulfilled their roles whether they were heroes or villains. Roger Ebert writes, “Let's set that aside and look at the performances. They're surprisingly good, and I especially admired the work of Monica Potter and Tony Goldwyn as the parents of one of two girls who go walking in the woods. It is no longer only the father who takes revenge; both parents work together, improvising, playing a deadly chess game in their own home, which they know better than the villains. We are only human, we identify with the parents, we fear for them, and we applaud their ingenuity. There is also sound work by Krug (Garret Dillahunt), the convincingly evil leader of a pack of degenerates. He isn't just acting scary. He creates a character,” (Roger Ebert, 2009).
Tumblr media
One aspect that makes the 2009 remake successful is the brutality and violence. Right at the beginning, we are introduced to the antagonists. Krug is in the back of a cop car when his brother comes out of nowhere and slams into the cop car. They shoot one cop in the head and Krug violently strangles the other while forcing him to look at pictures of his young children. The violence is immediate and already intriguing. After Mari and her friend meet a boy in town, they realize the boy is Krug’s son and now they are in trouble. They brutally beat the two girls and Krug tries to force his son to rape Mari. Paige gets stabbed and slowly dies while Krug rapes Mari himself, insulting his son while he does it. Mari begs for help and no one listens. This scene is sickening and so dark.
Tumblr media
After Mari makes her way home, her parents discover the truth about their guests and the violence continues. After discovering Mari’s necklace on the table, she smashed Francis with a bottle. John then tries to drown him in the sink. Francis pulls the plug but that does not stop John from turning on the garbage disposal. Francis’s hand is destroyed and ripped to shreds in the garbage disposal in a loud and violent scene. John finished him off equally as violent with a hammer to the back of the head. Another example is the extreme brutality is the scene where John punishes Krug with the microwave. He paralyzes him from the next down, leaving him helpless. John is calm and after cutting to calming and peaceful scenes, john places the abuser’s head in the microwave and turns it on. The darkness and dirtiness in the room with the abuser and John directly contrasts to the bright and lightness of the shots that come before it. There are paper birds moving in the wind and carvings on the tree. Those scenes are peaceful in between the brutality of the torture. The scene ends with the gruesome explosion of his head. The blood and chunks of head flying around in that scene leaves you feeling uneasy.
Check out the clip here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_GbB9vKbYtY
Tumblr media
The brutality experienced throughout the entire movie is because of the nature of the first attack. The director wanted to show the rape and torture scenes of Mari and her friend are just as brutal as the torture and killing of the crew, plus, horror fans are drawn to violence. The Horror Film Fanzine writes, “For most adults horror films are the junk food of the imagination, trivially dispensable cultural artifacts undeserving of critical attention and devoid of artistic or intellectual sophistication. Even defenders of the genre, like Stephen King, admit that "good horror movies operate most powerfully on this 'wanna-look-at-my-chewed-up-food?' level”, a primitively childish consciousness "sometimes also known as the Oh my God, was that gross!' factor. Sophisticated critics may speak of a typology of the monstrous or the genre's reflection of personal, social, or mythic structures, but it is some undeniable, primitive, precritical instinct that compels successive generations willing to pay good money to be made extremely uncomfortable and thereby answer an invitation to indulge in deviant, antisocial behavior by proxy- to commit gratuitous acts of violence, indulge our puerile dreams of power, to give in to our most craven fears,” (Sanjek, 1990). This essentially means that people are drawn to things that are violent and of chaotic nature. Overall, my analysis of the brutality seen in the 2009 Remake of The Last House on the House adds to the fact that the remake is so successful.

Cats boosted by return of Garing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
LESS than a month after giving birth to her first child, Renee Garing has been confirmed as recommencing her AFLW career.
The 33-year-old is one of 22 players announced by Geelong as being locked for next season, which is due to start in late August.
“We are all delighted for Renee and Tony on the safe arrival of little Parker,” AFLW boss Brett Johnson said.
“We’re committed to providing our players support before and post the birth of a child and flexible pathways to return to play from parental leave.
‘We look forward to welcoming Renee back and working together on whatever path she chooses.
“Amid the expansion, we’re proud to have a really strong core of players re-commit to the Cats and the trajectory that this team is on, including all threeextraordinary mums on our AFLW playing list, whose dedication inspires us all.”

Screenshots of “The King’s Beard”. What a wonderfully weird movie!! I actually watched this movie on German TV in my childhood but pretty much forgot everything about it until I found it again a year ago or so. I recently purchased a DVD (UK import) of this movie and I really enjoyed it. There are so many twists and turns and the villain is a selfish psychopath. It also has some cute critters as a bonus.
The movie is actually on YouTube but only with Russian dub over the original audio for some reason. I’m glad I could enjoy this movie again with the highest video quality and English audio - that was worth every penny.

List of reasons why I can't move back into my parents house:
There's no never ending bowl in the pantry with chocolate in it (and I can't create one, they'll KNOW)
They'll hate the overnight oats that I do like once a week because it has chocolate in it and it's just
It'd be hard to leave the house to go to... a football if that football isn't Collingwood (them: "where are you going?" Me: "um football" them: "but Collingwood aren't playing today" me: ... Them: .... Me: .... Them: "is that a navy blue jumper?" Etc)
They'll worry about me if I'm home later than midnight (there's been more than a few occasions where I've gone to a football or comedy or movie and have gone to queen st Macca's afterwards and it's all safe, I've walked from la Trobby to flinders at night, and if there's no trains, the uber is around $20 but they'll WORRY... about the Macca's)
If I'm home later than 6pm on more than one night, they'll ring up Sophia and demand why I'm being kept in (no I'm joking but they'll worry about that too)
I don't know, Tiko (the cat) might bite me
I'll have to move ALLLLL my stuff (bed, clothes, desk, computer) back to my parents house and then have to move it all back out again because they've already told me I can only move back in "temporarily"
How long is temporarily
There's no pool
I didn't swim in the pool in winter anyway
I might take too many Thursdays off and Sophia will start to question if I have Thursdayitis (no Sophia I swear I was just about to leave the house but a 2 year old came and I'm sorry)
Having to explain that no, I can't stay for dinner, Faz is cooking me pizza at his restaurant.... In Moonee ponds
List of reasons why I went mute when Tony was talking about his apartment not having a car park:

Trip to the Collingwood & Co Studio
On Thursday I arrived per invitation to Tony’s studio in Acton-Town to attend a meeting about TSS with Glynn Hayward and Helen Shroud. Andrea Tran also popped in later on and we all had a wonderful chat together.  I was there for 4 hours (for what was supposed to be a 1 hour meeting), with Helen and Tony regaling me with tales of inside info and what-could-have-beens. I was allowed - even encouraged - to record the whole “interview”, but it turns out that the phone I was using didn’t actually save it (A real “Secret Spider” moment for sure). Everyone was absolutely charming, and apart from the recording flub it was a lovely day that couldn’t’ve gone better.
Highlights include, to the best of my recollection:
• If the website is to return it might have to be heavily re-structured to cope with Flash essentially being a dead platform at this point. • Roy was voiced by Tony’s son Harry • The Commander in Secret Spider is called Vin, and the female actor from World Savers is Jilly • Ray’s name is Raymondo not Ray Mondo - and it’s Zebulons not Zurbulons. • VANITOR IS CANON AND HAS ALWAYS BEEN CANON • CD “drinks too much” - the lines “I’ll stay here and hold the port” and “12%? That’s all the proof I need!” are references to this, in addition to his wine-bottle wrapping in Secret Santa and his favourite food in one of the books being Madeira cake, the main ingredient of which is wine.  • Victor’s lesser-noticed catchphrase of “Aw, c’mon..!” is inspired by the fact that Alan Marriott actually says it quite a lot in real life.  • Masters were located for 2 full 1/2-hour Nicktoons broadcasts, completely uncompressed, and there are likely more - although we still don’t know exactly how many were modified.
Tumblr media
• Masters for 4 previously-unknown shorts were discovered, with the theme of “What’s The Deal With _____?” - Helen was greatly surprised they weren’t on the DVDs as the Profile shorts had taken their place. (can’t find the photo of the master as we only found it towards the end of the day but I have a pic of Helen’s copy)
Tumblr media
• An unused villain was going to be The Puddle Heads, sworn nemesis's of The Floaty Heads - he couldn’t find the concept art for them so he drew one in front of me to keep! I shouldn’t say much about them except that you might be seeing them sooner than you think... • There were initially plans for each 4-digit code in the episode to each unlock something different individually on the website - this was never implemented as they never made enough goodies to cover 52 different codes. • Helen used to have a copy of the show’s entire soundtrack on her iPod until it broke. • Tony knows about the DeviantArt fanfics. To hear him actually say the site’s name out loud was a very surreal moment indeed.  • The disclaimer that the Bogie Ball blooper was “deemed Too Gross for national television” is actually true - everything except the end of that scene was actually going to be in the original episode but the BBC said it was too much. • There’s a 4th BTS called “The Music Of the Secret Show”, which would’ve been with Roger Jackson - we found the master for the 3rd one (“The Sounds Of The Secret Show”) but not the 4th. • There were also 4 PP Lectures made, which means there are two of those that have never been released either. • The Space Wasps (from What’s In The Box and Planet PP) have a different origin in both simply because they needed to reuse the assets. • Tony had the entire plot to the potential Series 3 opener all planned out, and gleefully recounted the first half of it to me in great detail. I’ll keep the specifics mum for the time being just in case it ever ends up happening after all - but I’ll say that it would’ve been amazing. Also Tony totally should’ve been a VA, his voices were great. • Everyone was fascinated by the number of international dubs I’d managed to collect, and when I showed them the Latino-Mexican intro there was much groaning and laugher all ‘round. Speaking of which, we discovered a sampler-disc of the Catalan dub that even Tony was surprised they had:
Tumblr media
• The reason why it’s never revealed what CD won his medal on the Mantlepiece for is because nobody could think of anything funny enough to warrant revealing. • Unbeknownst to anyone, the physical masters for episodes 7 and 28 were AWOL from their designated boxes and remain unaccounted for, although they are still stored digitally - I know this because I re-sorted their entire TSS disc-archive for them while I was there. Andrea was happy for the heads-up and Helen gladly suggested I make a note of it on the box. • Martin Hyder was hired almost by accident - he was called in just to record the Temp Track for Stephen Fry’s lines in the pilot as Fry had to record them separately. Someone asked Martin to fill in a line for Ray, and he suited the role so well that they casted him on the spot. • The One Breath Lady was both voiced by and inspired by one of the writers, Jimmy Hibbert. Tony recounted that Jim had a habit of speaking in run-on sentences for so long that your eyes would be watering on his behalf, willing him to actually inhale some air and take a goddamned breath once in a while.  • There was an event known as “Spy Day” in which a whole bunch of children were brought together to do TSS-themed spy activities. There are two separate recordings of this. • Tony knew that Nicktoons had once broadcast The Martian Dub (Sep 20th ‘08) but Helen was unaware. Her reaction to finding out was amazing. • Anita’s parents were never given a backstory simply because they were never relevant to the plot - Anita’s aquatic origins shall remain a mystery.... • Glynn and I both agreed that due to internet speeds and technology advancing a truly substantial way since 2006, remastering the site’s audio from 22050Hz to 44100Hz is completely feasible, and that I could even help resample it. Tony and Helen admitted they’d lost us completely during our nerd-out which we all had a good laugh over.  • Tony asked completely of his own volition if I knew of TheSecretShow4You, which is of course our friend and empress, the Vanitor Queen. He greatly admires how much she has come up with over the years and says he loved the 10th Anniversary video. • Helen was very surprised to learn that the first 24 episodes had reaired all throughout last April this year in Germany - presumably Disney Germany renewed their licence. Speaking of which:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
• The Spider was supposed to appear in Secret Sleep - about 6 minutes in, crawling on the front edge of the bed just before PP falls asleep. Neither DVD nor Broadcast version has this due to a rendering error, although they didn’t actually believe me at the time:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The top photo is from “The Book Of Revelations” - a pair of .pdfs that track every single hidden thing from every episode along with a few other things. They are now in the Google Drive folder under “Books” for your viewing pleasure. • I gave Tony my still-shrink-wrapped copy of the Italian Vol4 DVD as a gift for basically putting up with my wall-of-text emails over the last three years. In return I was presented with a take-home copy of the 2004 Pilot version of Lucky Leo as Tony still had a few copies left. It is now in the Drive under “Rare Broadcasts” - you will notice more than a few differences to the final version, I’m sure:
Tumblr media
• There was an entire marketing pack produced of which only two exist. Photos of literally everything from it are in the “Studio Visit 02/11/17″ folder, along with all the master discs that we found in the cupboard.
Tumblr media
• Two Betamax masters were found as well - I don’t know about you but I thought that was absolutely amazing:
Tumblr media
The second tape contains an 11-minute Interview with Tony about the show which has never been shown outside the industry. • A prototype of the UK version of Vol2 was also discovered, along with two different prototypes of Vol1 - Sadly none were found of 3 or 4 as BBC WW were actually the ones who pressed them, Col & Co simply handing the files over to them to compile.
Tumblr media
And last but certainly not least: • This morning, the day after the meeting, Glynn emailed me several files from his archive of the website which were previously lost - the U.Z.Z./T.H.E.M. Doorhangers, the CD Cutout, The Spiderbikes game (literally called spaceinvaders.swf) and the rarest of all, the 2007 Easter Exclusive Site Map - available now at your local Website Downloads folder. He also kindly sent some original concept art for the games that he’d drawn himself back in the day, including one that never made the cut, of which I will make another post about separately. (if you want a sneaky peek, look in the Cocept Art & BTS folder...!) One final thing, for now at least - While I was there Helen and Tony deigned to show me the trailer for their newest series, “Thorgar” -  I was “the first person under 30 to see it” and I can tell you now it’s absolutely amazing. Seriously, as soon as it starts airing you guys need to watch it immediately, it’s spectacular.

Diddy Dick & Dom are miniature, high pitched voiced versions of the shows presenters that appear in the puppet cupboard. See a video compilation here (contains lots of innuendo jokes!): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AERBVivlLrg
Da Bungalow came to a very mucky ending on March 11th 2006. Here is the very, very mad ending to the show!
