happy 4th anniversary to Rikka!

October 20th is Rikka’s anniversary. Because he is one of my favorite vtubers, I thought I could share some trivia about him here!

Holostars official site:

A "high-tech" robot called a holoroid. It turns out that his memory capacity is only 2 GB, so he is a bit of an airhead.  The gap between his soft talking voice and singing voice is quite charming. He is working hard to share his songs around the world.

Rikka is known for his singing skills. He currently has 6 original songs and 34 covers.

He also does many acoustic singing streams while playing his guitar.

Like what the stars website says, he has a capacity of 2gb, which can result in 2gb moments happening on stream

Even though he can be an airhead sometimes, he is also very skilled at gaming, especially platfomers. Alongside playing previously platformers such as hollow knight, Celeste, super Mario 3D world, he occasionally streams Mario maker every now and then, and plays levels with a less than 1% clear rate.

Besides platform games, he is holostar’s Tetris player and sometimes streams Tetris 99. He also plays a lot of horror games. You might have also seen him play Apex. His highest rank is masters and he occasionally shows up in other vtuber’s Apex streams to play with them. He mains Loba.

Currently, he is into street fighter 6 and mains Luke. He just recently got master rank.

Since his 3rd year in holostars, he has published 3 new original songs, ranked 2nd place in Shibuya Hal’s Apex tournament vsaikyo season 5, ranked 1st in Apex Matsuri, participated in street fighter tournament Reject Fight Night, sung for 10 cover songs, became a voice actor for a character in a multimedia project, debuted in the unit Unplan with Miyabi, Aruran, and Shien which also has an original song sung by the four of them, and just recently hosted a vtuber singing tournament ( vtuber singing king, also co hosted with Suisei).

Splatband Analysis - Wet Floor

(Disclaimer: This analysis is based on what I get out of looking into the character descriptions we have of the splatband characters. If you disagree with what I say, that is fine, we are all beheld to our opinions. Just don't be a jerk about it.)

Watch out, the floor is wet. Cause I’m about to spill the tea on Wet Floor all over this floor. Get it? You probably do.

Wet Floor was the Squid Squad of Splatoon 2, what with the previous one falling apart due to the leader and the bassist attempting to kill each other. They’re not a band I think about often, but hopefully this analysis changes it. It helps that, as the main band, they get privileges such as a section in Splatune 2 where they get interviewed, meaning actual dialogue from these people! Which also reminded me that I missed the one for Squid Squad… I think once I’m done I’ll do a compilation post of all information I missed for some of the bands, and maybe even some stuff you guys pointed out!

The band

Wet Floor formed through the magic of social media connections, and were evidently recently formed before the events of Splatoon 2. At the time they weren’t used to crowds or live performances. Their main motivation is to spread more kinds of music in a world dominated by pop stars. That part is said in Kagi’s twitter blurb, but from the interview it’s clear the opinion is shared between the whole band, even if at different levels. They use docs to write their songs. The process we’re given is that someone writes a riff on the doc, and everyone adds to it on their own time. Compared to Squid Squad, there’s a pretty clear level of communication going on between the group, they all seem pretty close, and just have fun together in their work. Outside of Tsumabushi, none of them are morning people. 

Kagi

Kagi here’s the founder, and really the one with the whole motivation of restoring indie dignity to Inkopolis. Wet Floor are his like minded peers, discovered thanks to social networking. Likely he wouldn’t have met them any other way considering he seems pretty shy. He prefers being in a studio over performing, and prefers the others take the lead over him. 

Rather famously, his skin is a particularly unnatural tone of teal compared to the natural skin colors we see in other inklings. Unlike Yoko, who has her mutation addressed, no attention is brought to it anywhere for Kagi. It might have something to do with how Inklings look when young, where they’re a uniform color of their ink before eventually gaining their kid forms. Maybe Kagi’s mutation made it so that his body never formed fully? It probably bears noting he also lacks an eyemask too. What an enigma.

Mizole

Compared to most Splatband characters, Mizole’s descriptions lay out a fair amount of his personality in front of us. He’s shrewd, cynical and prone to making cutting remarks, and is mainly motivated by a desire to either subvert or exceed people’s expectations. Despite that, he does get along with his bandmates as seen in the interview, he banters with them without being actively rude to them. That said, his relationship with Ryan is more vitriolic. The two work together, but are prone to bickering due to conflicting viewpoints (Ryan is a fan of Squid Squad, he’s an enemy of Squid Squad, though obviously there’s more to it than just that), a frequent enough occurrence that Kazami is perfectly fine watching the two argue without having to intervene. Again, outside of that, the interview shows the two do get along, and music wise, when they work together, the results are magical.

He’s got a personal rivalry with Squid Squad, which influences him more than he wants to admit. We don’t know if Squid Squad were aware of this (they were busy with other stuff), so it’s likely to be entirely one-sided. His name, Mizole, comes from Mizore, the word for shaved ice. Get it? Cause he looks like a cone of shaved ice? His hair is at least semi-transparent, since you can see his eyebrows, not to mention an almost snow-white skin tone. Is it a condition or perhaps something regarding his species of squid? 

Ryan

Ryan is our last inkling of the band, and co-vocalist with Mizole. She’s a faithful follower of the church of punk rock, quote the Haikara Walker, explaining her style and interests. A particularly big fan of Squid Squad, which causes friction between herself and Mizole. That seems to be what her descriptions focus on, her relationship with Mizole, so we don’t get much about her outside of this belief. It wouldn’t be hard to view her as an opposite of Mizole, since that would naturally make the two contrast each other more Diss-Pair style, but that’s speculatory talk. Sorry girl. Not much else I can get out of you.

Kazami

Unlike the others, I like her english name, Candi. It’s cute. She’s the youthful type, someone who comes off as “spontaneous and right-brained”. Right-brained here means she comes off as creative and artistic, but secretly she’s very serious about her performance. She’s very self-critical about her performance when she listens to her recordings. I mean, read this quote of hers from Haikara Walker, she says, “That didn’t sound cool, ‘cause I sucked so bad.” What the hell.. She might have self-esteem issues, but she refuses to let the others know about it, probably to maintain that cheerful vibe she gives off. That’s kinda sad… At the very least she’s having fun when she plays, especially when Ryan and Mizole bicker, so she loves herself a little chaos. It’s her favorite pastime.

She and Tsumabushi have a friendly rivalry going with each other, and are overall pretty close, to the point of even secretly training with each other. Ooh la la. 

Tsumabushi

Lastly, the bassist of the band, and an archetypical one, I.E. he’s a supporter. He’s described specifically as a big brother. He’s probably the type who wakes everyone up during mornings, especially since he’s outright stated to be the only one to work well during them. Goes at his own pace, so probably a relaxed personality type. A very talented bassist who only needs to glance at the sheet music once or hear a tune to get it down. I wonder if he has arms?

Wet Floor is not my favorite band, but I’m beginning to see their appeal now. My main criticism is that none of them have gotten involved in any kind of drama since their debut. How can you be the lead band of a game when you haven’t committed an act of plagiarism or tried to kill each other, come on people, step it up.

The only reason shared to the public was busy schedule. As usual, some believed it while others didn’t, making nonsense rumors out of it. Some made a joke that Jin probably stopped you from doing the film since you always joked about him being jealous with your infatuation over the other actor.

Just when March came by, you only posted a picture of Francheskat in Instagram without any caption. Just your sweet grey pet chilling in what seems like a big basket.

In your years in the industry, this is the first time you reported two successive exits in your future projects. It seemed like you cleared out the productions that will begin filming this year. But fans are still hoping that you will still go on with your other projects that you signed on for 2022.

On the other hand, Jin is doing his own thing. He just finished filming for a Netflix limited series that would probably won’t come out until the end of the year. He didn’t really get to be active on social media too as he is doing press and promos for his upcoming movie, Nope. His last online activity was an Instagram story of him and Donny hanging out.

Y/N Deleted Her Twitter Account and PPL Are *Very* Concerned

The multi-awarded actress-songwriter didn't give a reason for the sudden departure from Twitter, but she's still keeping her fans posted

On Friday, in the same day as April Fool’s, actress Y/N deactivated her Twitter account. Y/N, 27, didn’t share any reason for her unexpected departure from the social media site.

Y/N’s name began showing up on the said platform’s trending list Friday afternoon when her fans learned her account “doesn’t exist”. Users posted screenshots of her account’s blank page that says, “Something went wrong, try again”.

This sudden move by Y/N fueled more confusion among fans as she also left a couple of projects just last month. Fans were left to solve to find out who or what is the culprit with Y/N’s recent exits. Some wondered if this is for a new career move, or perhaps a personal life event is going on. But whatever the motive is, it appears the actress won’t be updating via Twitter anytime soon.

The actress-songwriter-producer had a busy six years. Ever since the year of 2016, Y/N appeared in at least two movies annually. She has been The Highest Paid Actress in both 2020 and 2021. She also co-produced a couple of films and series. She’s been doing and attending charity works and events every year as part of her advocacy for children’s welfare. In addition, there is a rumor going around about Y/N planning to dive into entrepreneurship.

The Don’t Look Up actress’ social media presence isn’t completely gone. Y/N is still active on her Instagram account although she often only posts images of her iconic Persian cat, Francheskat. Other than that, her last non-Francheskat post is about her holiday celebration in South Korea. It was rumored that she flew across the world with her rumored boyfriend, actor Jin, and a few close friends.

“It was a well-deserved break.” a source said, pertaining to the Christmas and New Year celebration in the East Asian country. “Although the two are admired all over the world, the locals in South Korea were all respectful of their privacy, including their four friends who went with them. His family loved and welcomed her with open arms during their four week-stay.”

She shared images of the said trip on Instagram after her appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon earlier this year. When asked about the trip during the red carpet premiere of From The Other Side, she simply replied with a shy smile: 

“It was fun. Lovely.”

That was the last time you alluded to your hiatus on Instagram. But ever since March 2022, you only posted two posts and rare Instagram stories (usually about the organizations you support). You also didn’t have any public appearances after that. Fans were worried and curious. Gossip about the same things floated around again: break-up, pregnancy, early retirement. And since you already showed your distaste over those kinds of news about you before, your loyal supporters worked together virtually to take down those articles.

It Could Only Ever be Rinharu

Author’s Entry Angle

As of May of 2023, the Makoharu v. Rinharu debate is alive and well, albeit on a much smaller scale than in years prior. I’ve been on team Rinharu for almost a decade now. The earliest I expressed (purely personal) written support for them was back in late October 2014 and my first fanart of them (never shared publicly) was finished in early November of that year. Since then, my writing and art have improved dramatically, but my feelings about Rin and Haru have largely remained the same. Equally, the debate hasn’t changed that much either—at least from those outspoken about their dislike of the other side. Indeed, some variation of the word “toxic” has at one point or another been used to describe both pairings, with fans caricaturing the other side as being overly emotional and/or delusional when faced with content of the pairing they don’t like. It’s honestly quite funny to read!

For me, shipping has been a cheeky exercise in empathy and introspection about relationships more broadly. Rinharu is kind of like a first love. Not only were they the first coupling I would defend with my dying breath, but they were invaluable in contouring my understanding of romantic love in all its absurdities. Undoubtedly, my own experiences (limited as they are) and personality colour my preference, and I’ve spent the last 10 years trying to articulate what I love about these goobers so damn much. What does being a Rinharu truther say about me, if anything at all? I would like to explain my Rinharu-or-bust rationale precisely because this has been such a polarizing debate in the fandom. What is obvious to me is not obvious to others—there would be no debate if that were the case. After all this time, I don’t hate people who ship Makoharu. They have poor taste, of course, but that isn’t worth hating someone over. Heh, just kidding! I’m being an ass on purpose because it’s just so easy!

Being that Free! has recently celebrated its tenth anniversary, I understand that people have had a long time to formulate their opinions and dig their heels in either way. I don’t believe engaging in debate will change people’s minds, and that isn’t what I’m trying to do here anyway. This is purely for fun! Additionally, while I’m still relatively new to posting on social media, I’m pretty sure it’s too late to respond directly to some of the points I mention below. Moreover, I don’t want to impose myself onto other people’s conversations—even though they’re public and some are overtly anti-Rinharu and antagonistic towards its supporters. These folks are ultimately entitled to their wrong opinions.

If you decide to indulge me and give my thoughts a read, I offer these disclaimers: I fully appreciate Makoto’s role in the Free! series more broadly and recognize that he is an important person in Haru’s life. Although I’ve never been a fan of Makoharu, I can appreciate where their supporters are coming from. I’m not writing in bad faith and do not wish to antagonize anyone. Equally, if I say anything you agree with, feel I’ve missed something, or think I’m completely out of line, please don’t be shy in letting me know! I’ve long wanted to engage in this conversation, but largely felt too shy to do so!

On Makoto Being “Boring”

Recently, I read a thread on Twitter where someone expressed indignation at the prospect of someone disliking Makoto for being “too nice.” Even after hearing at some point that people who aren’t his biggest fan find him boring, another commentator concluded that it’s “definitely something else.” What that “something else” could be…I’m not sure either! But I can certainly elaborate on the sentiment that Makoto is a boring character.

I, for one, don’t find him incredibly interesting. It isn’t that he’s “too nice,” but more so that his kindness is among the only characteristics I can think of to describe him. Frankly, I don’t know much about Makoto other than he’s kind, considerate, and supportive of others. His biggest flaws, if you could even call them that, are that he has a hard time being assertive and can be cowardly. He’s a nice guy, and how can you hate a nice guy without looking like a complete monster? By the same token, while I can’t hate him, I don’t feel particularly strong enough to like him that much either. I appreciated how Nao asks Makoto in Starting Days whether he likes swimming or simply that it’s something he can do with Haru because it addressed the problem I, (and likely others), had with Makoto’s character: Who is Makoto if Haru isn’t there? Aside from Haru, what does he like? What does he want to do purely for himself? By the movie’s end, I didn’t learn anything new about Makoto. He at least made peace with confirming that although he does like swimming in and of itself, he likes it better when it’s something he can do with his best friend. While completely unoffensive, it’s nothing to get excited about either.

On “Codependency” and “Toxicity”

Based on what we’ve covered so far, is it fair to say Makoto is overly dependent on Haru? Perhaps in some ways, but not to the degree of a complex. Growing up is hard, and being apart from someone you’ve spent virtually your whole life with is quite the adjustment to make. A better example of codependency would be Hiyori and Ikuya, with the former isolating the latter in order to hoard him privately to himself. (But that’s a story for another day).

On the flip side, Rinharu has been called toxic, presumably because they fight and have said hurtful things to each other. Oftentimes, these instances are the result of miscommunications, and while I wish they would be more honest with each other from the outset, they deserve grace too. Being vulnerable is not an easy thing to do—especially concerning someone one has strong feelings for. It may seem easier to push someone away or refuse to let them in to preserve a sense of pride or to protect oneself from the possibility of being hurt all over again. But for all the fighting Rin and Haru do, they have always reconciled and been able to express what having the other in their life means to them. They wouldn’t be able to affect each other as much as they have if they didn’t really care about each other, hm?

On Canonical Material

With translations of the FS Fanbook underway, some folks have suggested that being an “irreplaceable existence” is more significant than “destined to swim together,” but this depends entirely on how each statement is interpreted. Being that Makoto and Haru have known each other for basically their entire lives, you’d be hard-pressed to find someone who could possibly know either of them better. They were firsthand witnesses to how the other grew up over the years because they did it together. Indeed, this relationship should in no way be underestimated or thought of as dispensable. Still, being a “destined pair” suggests to me that Rin and Haru’s connection is bigger than either one of them. Put another way, it is as if the universe itself declared that the two were on a crash course to meet and would ultimately share a future together. Now, depending on whether you see swimming as just a sport/shared interest or whether you believe, (like I do), that it’s an intrinsic part of who they are and how they express themselves and love toward others, then the implications of the statement “destined to swim together” are decidedly quite different.

I’ve never felt like Makoto and Haru were anything more than best friends. Between running the same “drop the chan already” routine and essentially being able to read each other’s minds, their relationship has settled into something undoubtedly solid. It’s clear that they understand each other very well and have an unspoken agreement to always support each other. If romantic love were a matter of practicality, Makoto would perhaps be the most reasonable candidate for Haru. It’s a safe choice. But the laws of attraction don’t adhere to whatever is most rational—it isn’t a matter of who knows you the best, has known you the longest, or fights with you the least. It’s about who moves you and makes you feel something. I don’t wish for Haru to make choices just because they’re familiar and easy or out of fear of possibility.

Likewise, Rin is special to Haru in a way different from any of his other friends—something that is acknowledged and talked about by other characters throughout the series. Nagisa remarks in season one that “Haru-chan says he doesn’t care about his times or winning races, but he’s motivated when he’s racing Rin-chan.” Why is that? What is it about Rin in particular that motivates Haru in a way no one else does? Even when they first met, Haru knew immediately that the other boy was going to be a prominent character in his life whether he wanted him to be or not. He tries to get ahead of it, even run away from it, but he decides instead to be brave and open up enough to let Rin, in all his fleeting glory, nestle inside his bones. We’re treated to Haru’s entire emotional range where Rin is concerned. (Frankly, he was the first person I think Haru allowed himself to be vulnerable with by agreeing to join the medley in elementary school). Despite only being in the same class for a couple of months, Rin left a deep and lasting impression on Haru to the point where he thinks about the other boy well into high school. Hell, feeling as though he hurt Rin caused Haru to quit (and later come back to) the sport he loves most. For someone who goes out of their way to avoid participating in, well, life, Rin sure does a hell of a job in moving Haru to actively engage with what goes on around him. In season two, Nagisa knowingly asks Makoto why he wanted to compete against Haru in the prefecturals. Makoto can’t give a definite answer, but says, “Maybe I was jealous of Rin.” If the audience were to understand Rin simply as Haru’s swimming rival and nothing more, Makoto’s words are incomprehensible. It isn’t just a rivalry with Haru that Rin has, but a mutual, intimate connection over the sport. In other words, Makoto’s feelings towards Haru are not reciprocated—and he knows it.

Indeed, while Makoto feels swimming is meaningless without Haru, Haru finds the greatest purpose in swimming with Rin. With Rin missing from his life, Haru was prepared to resign to being ordinary. In being able to swim together, he wants to be and experience more. And this isn’t necessarily to say that Makoto and Haru would have an unhappy life together, just that Rin offers Haru something no one else can—namely beautiful sights to be shared. Whereas Makoto has expressed the desire to be a part of Haru’s life no matter what he decides to do, Rin proposes to Haru that they share a life and a dream together. Haru can always be certain that Makoto will be there for him, but seeing all he and Rin can be is realized only if they move forward together. I think it goes without saying how much Rin adores Haru, what with him talking virtually everyone else’s ears off about him. Kisumi didn’t even swim, but he knew who Haru was because Rin (apparently) told all of his buddies at Sano about the guy with the “cool attitude and eyes clear as water.” The guy thinks of Haru in prose for god’s sake!

Rin and Haru’s relationship has undoubtedly gone through growing pains, but they’re getting better at communicating and being completely honest with each other (and, frankly, themselves). I admire their relationship because it’s so god damn dynamic—it’s playful, adorable, rife with tension, beautiful, devastating, frustrating, complicated, and innate all at once. Perhaps precisely because Makoto lacks dynamism I find the prospect of a romantic relationship between him and Haru to be, well…boring. It's not that their connection is non-existent or some flavour of the word toxic—they have a wonderful friendship—but I don’t get the sense that it will change much, let alone develop into anything more in the future. From my perspective, as soon as Rin entered the picture any chance for a romance between Makoto and Haru was soundly squashed. There was simply no going back to the ordinary time before Rin Matsuoka “coincidentally” ended up at Iwatobi Elementary School.

Y/N's like a puppy when they're sleeping and snuggles up to their partner regardless of weather or position they fell asleep in. Jack loves it, he feels so wanted waking up being jetpacked or pulled into their chest like a teddy bear. Ian didn't like it at first but now he misses it.

Honestly? I don’t think Ian would dislike cuddling up MC in bed while they sleep. In the afterlife episode was full of a lot of physical contact, from rough housing, to hugs, to snuggly naps, to, well... sexy times. I mean, the game is for Adults Only after all.

Although, Ian might have had some issues with it, at least initially, due to his shyness.

He’s shy about a lot of things, but affection isn’t one of them at the moment.

Ian seems to need time to warm up to a person before getting physically intimate with them. That’s why I theorize that he cheated on MC with a friend he got close to at the prestigious college he attended.

Ian “You’re the only person I can see like that. Just you. Other people people are weird, and I don’t know them. But I love you. And I love doing…things with you.”

There’s also this really fantastic picture Sauce drew and posted on their (now gone) public twitter that shows Ian wanting to sleep with MC (presumably) in their bed. Forgive me for cropping it, but tumblr will smite me from on high if I shared the whole thing here.

I mean, the canon nature of this picture is dubious, but I’m pretty sure the sentiment tracks with what we’ve seen.

It is possible that Ian might not have liked sleeping cuddled up together at first, but quickly got attached to it. I’m just very dubious that’s the case. With how hard he’s still clinging to MC and depended on them, I can see Ian as the type of person to fall asleep pining to snuggle up to MC before they get together. Then he would be clinging them like a teddy bear every night once he got over his initial shyness and the intimidation of the new phase in their relationship.

I’m pretty darn sure it would be something Ian would have missed a lot when he moved out. Hell, it might even have been a factor in why he cheated. MC certainly struggled to sleep alone in their big empty bed after the breakup...

Though that isn’t to say Ian couldn’t dislike it too at times, especially when the weather is hot and close contact just makes the heat worse. Here’s a little playful exchange that just popped into my head, which I will demonstrate with my MC, Alice.

Ian whined as he squirmed in his girlfriend’s grip, sweat making his pajamas stick to his flushed skin. “Aliiiicceee... Knock it off. It’s too hot for this...”

Though just as hot and sweaty, Alice playfully burrowed her face into his chest as she stubbornly clung on tight. “It’s never too hot for cuddle time,” she teased, using her best ‘gremlin’ tone of voice.

Ian groaned before letting out an irritated huff. “Come onnn...” He twisted in place and set about wrestling free of Alice’s iron grip. “Don’t be a jerk. We can cuddle later.”

Alice yelped as she was flipped over, then whined, the sound more put upon than genuine as Ian pinned her down to the bed and shot her an annoyed look. “But... but cuddle time...”

“Come on... don’t be such a baby about it,” Ian huffed, looking dangerously close to pouting now.

Alice’s response to that was to suddenly arch up and lick her boyfriend’s nose.

Ian sputtered and jerked back, releasing his hold as he fell back onto his butt. “Gross! Again with the licking?!”

Alice let out a giggle. “That’s the price you pay for no cuddle time.”

Ian let out another huff as he wiped his nose with the bedsheet. He couldn’t keep up his pout for much longer, however, and soon joined in on the laughter.

After getting their giggles out, Alice gave Ian a soft smile as she watched him flop back down onto the bed beside her. “Rain check?”

A small snort of laughter escaped Ian as he smiled back fondly at Alice. “Rain check. Once this heatwave stops, then we can cuddle all you want.”

Alice’s smile widened. “I’ll hold you to that.”

The good moments between these two really were sweet. It’s such a shame that they couldn’t make up for all the bad ones...

You bet your ass Ian misses cuddle time with Alice, but he only has himself to blame. Maybe he’ll find someone else to snuggle up to in bed like the night he cheated on her...

As for Jack, I’m positive the man is touch starved. No matter how hot or inconvenient it might be, he would absolutely love to cuddle up with MC. Whatever position they want, I’m sure he’ll be happy to do it, no matter how uncomfortable it makes him. It would be worth it. He wants to be wanted and needed by his sunshine, and physical touch is something he obviously craves.

Of course, if MC wanted to cuddle when it’s too hot, I’m sure Jack would be concerned about them getting overheated. Fortunately, there are so many marvelous modern conveniences to cool down with. Heck, it’s not a bad idea to fudge the thermostat a bit so that it’s a little nippy in the apartment - all the better for cuddling~!

Alice is an MC who always cuddles up in bed, even while asleep. When she has no partner, her bed is full of extra pillows that she snuggles up with, and when she was a child, her mom teasingly remarked that her bed was like Noah’s Arc with how many stuffed animals she shared it with.

When Alice had her couch sleepovers with Shaun after the breakup, she snuggled up to him in her sleep as well. It definitely wasn’t good for the poor guy’s unrequited feelings, I’ll tell you that!

Naturally, Jack is going to be absolutely thrilled when he and Alice start sharing her bed. It’ll happen platonically at first of course, similar to the game. She’ll use pillows as a divider between them on the first night, knowing what she’s like when she sleeps.

It certainly would be embarrassing for Alice if that pillow was gone when she woke up, and she found herself snuggling Jack instead. Don’t worry, he wasn’t the one that moved the pillow, honest! He certainly didn’t complain about the results though~

In fact, let’s do another little scene...

Jack sighed as he admired his sunshine’s sleeping face. He propped his arm up so that he could see Alice better even though she was facing away from him. She looked so cute curled up around one of the pillows, her expression one of relaxed contentment. He couldn’t help but envy the pillow she clutched so close to her body. He wanted to be the one she held like that.

For a moment, Jack felt tempted to spoon Alice from behind, carefully so as not to disturb her, but he resisted the urge. He couldn’t, wouldn’t do anything she didn’t want, and the body pillow stretched out between them marked the distinct border between him and his sunshine.

They were just two friends sharing a bed together for company in a purely platonic way. As much as Jack wished it was more, he wouldn’t cross the clear boundaries she set. Instead, he did his best to focus on being happy about how close they had gotten since they met. His patience had brought him into her bed, and he was sure that eventually it would bring them even closer.

Just as Jack settled down to get some rest himself, he noticed Alice start to stir. He went still, hoping he didn’t wake her with his movements, and watched as she rolled over in his direction.

Alice glommed onto the pillow between them, her blind grabbing at times reaching past it to snatch Jack’s arm instead. He didn’t dare even breathe as he let her paw at him in her sleep, soon trying to pull at him more than the pillow.

After a few futile attempts to get comfortable, Alice let out a small grunt that Jack couldn’t help but find adorable. She shifted more strongly, kicking and tugging at the pillow until she got a firm hold of it to toss it behind her back. Once the barrier between them was gone, she immediately dove into him, burrowing into his chest as she wrapped her arm around his waist and hooked her leg over his.

Jack felt his heart hammering hard as Alice practically molded her body into his, fitting against him like the other half of a complete whole. He couldn’t hold back the urge to wrap his arm around her in return and help her tuck in as close to his body as possible.

It might have been just a subconscious desire of hers, but Jack couldn’t help but feel giddy. Alice wanted to cuddle up to him. She was drawn to him just as much as he was to her, and this was just further proof of the bond between them.

Finally content, Alice settled in with her warm new pillow with a soft sigh, her cheek pressed against his chest. Jack couldn’t help but feel the same way as he basked in his personal ray of sunshine until he too finally fell into a peaceful slumber.

I mean... can you blame sleepy Alice for ditching the pillow and going for Jack instead? Sleepy MC has good taste after all. ;)

No matter the position they fell asleep in, Alice is going to snuggle up to Jack. Even in chapter 2 of Sunshine in Hell she was trying to do that a little bit. She’s just a big cuddle bunny, and Jack couldn’t be happier about that~

I’m sure Alice is going to jetpack Jack sometimes, as well as be the little spoon, though I’m pretty sure they’re going to be cuddling face to face the majority of the time. I mean... how can she resist using his chest as a pillow? Plus they both want to hold each other close.

Of course, Alice will let Jack use her chest as a pillow too once she gets more confident about their intimacy. It’s only fair that she returns the favor after all~

SS9 in Chile - an essay by kokobopam

It’s been two weeks since I saw Super Junior and I want to talk about it!

The thing is, initially I was going to write a little twitter thread about it, but then I had too much to say and too many things I didn’t want to forget so I decided to write a journal entry. This is something I’ve gotten used to doing after coming back from a concert I loved but they always end up on a notebook that no one else is going to see. So I thought maybe I could share a bit here. 

It’s still a very long post lmao but if you read it, I hope you can enjoy some of my thoughts, feelings and impressions of SS9 in Chile.

Super Show 9 : The Road - Santiago

For those of you who don’t know, I got into kpop very recently, like, starting the pandemic. So this was a very big deal because I’ve never been to a kpop concert (I’m not counting the failed MuBank, it was a festival anyway) or seen any of my favorite groups before. In fact, aside from Super Junior, who’s been to my country twice, neither EXO nor TVXQ have been close to me ever.

Up till December, we were convinced we would get a SS9 in Argentina, but things happened —the economy, stupid production companies, just one month's notice before the show— and we weren’t as lucky this time. It had to be Chile, then.

I won’t get into details but organizing this trip in such short notice was hard as fuck, but I was feeling so depressed at the prospect of missing them and they never coming back again that I simply had to go. It worked out in the end. Even when I had to put everything together in less than two weeks and I’m gonna be paying this for the next three months, it was worth every cent.

I’ve been to many, many (non-kpop) concerts and you can tell when the artist is there to share their music, to put on a show or just to get paid. Super Junior…they’re not just idols, they’re entertainers and they’re SO GOOD at it. But you can also tell how much they love doing what they do and that love and energy is definitely contagious.

The phenomenon of Super Junior becoming one of the biggest kpop groups in Latin America —more than a decade ago, before kpop went “mainstream” — is something to talk about on another post but I do believe we have a special relationship with them, otherwise this wouldn’t be their third time visiting in a decade and filling 15k - 20k venues, even on weekdays in some cases.

And I know, I know, speeches get repeated and the same words translated into different languages but you can tell when someone’s being honest about their feelings. They didn’t shy out about the fact that the flight had left them exhausted, that their bodies ached or that the jet lag was taking a toll on them but they still left everything on stage and made sure to tell us again and again how much energy they gained from us. 

So in return we sang and cheered for them as loud as we could and gave them all the love we have. I came back home feeling incredibly in love with Latam ELFs, I swear. 

Let’s get to the concert then.

I already knew most of the setlist but I still was blown away when the show began with Burn the Floor. This was probably one of the performances I was anticipating the most —ever since I watched the beginning of their tour in Seoul online— and finally experiencing it in person was absolutely incredible. This song and the stage production, with all the outfits and lights and red ropes (puppet strings!), was definitely one of the reasons I became an ELF so I was so glad they didn’t take it from the setlist.

They did change the setlist, though, and removed the Ticky Tocky-Paradox-Mystery section which I really wanted to see live. BUT I’m not complaining. In exchange they added One More Time and Lo Siento which everyone sang really loud, specially the choruses and parts in spanish. It was so much fun! And they also did Devil, Mango and Mamacita (the full regular ver! instead of the opera one) in those sexy black outfits, so yeah that was neat. 

The third part of the show was soft boys time <3 Yesung sang Small Things and he was the only member to do a solo. It was very sweet that he got the chance to do so, given that he didn’t have a lot of time to promote the album before coming to latam. I hope he enjoyed the spotlight even if we weren’t the best at the fan chant lol.

I don’t know how to explain this, but up to this point I had been very focused on the performances. Maybe it’s because it had been over a decade since the last time I saw any kind of pop group with men dancing on stage, or maybe because for all the previous acts they had been wearing color coordinated outfits so it was a bit hard to tell them apart from afar (I wasn’t close to the stage); but the thing is, listening to K.R.Y. live absolutely broke me.

It’s like my brain finally caught up with the fact that I was actually listening to them singing live in front of me and, god, I was positively overwhelmed. Kyuhyun’s and Ryeowook’s voices are some of my favorites in kpop and being able to hear them in person..I cried for real. I’m a sucker for singers and I still get goosebumps thinking about it. They’re out of this world, the three of them.

And another thing a friend pointed out was that it was their first time performing as a subunit in latam —Yesung wasn’t present the first time in 2013 and KyuWook were missing in 2018—so yeah, very surreal. I feel so lucky.

Part four of the show was what I’d been really really anticipating the whole time. Because when would I ever have the chance to see D&E or experience Bonamana rock ver. again? 

It was HOT. 

D&E are insane live. They have this crazily explosive stage presence that forces you to keep your eyes fixed on them because you don’t want to miss anything. They performed B.A.D and Danger and seeing them dance and flirt with the audience…I just couldn’t believe it. I hope they consider coming back in the future with their own tour because I wouldn’t miss the chance to see them.

After that, the rest of the members joined them for Black Suit and Bonamana. 

Ngl, I’ve been saving Bonamana Leeteuk fancams (you know which ones) since the beginning of their tour, but seeing the real thing live, I’m pretty sure I got a nose bleed. I also had Leeteuk, Kyuhyun and Hyukjae on my side of the stage so I was screaming my lungs out the entire time. They’re so sexy, all of them, and they went full rockstars with this performance which wasn’t good for my health. I’m still recovering.

Finally, they started the last bit of the show with the Analog Radio self recorded video which made me cry again (don’t judge me, I was really emotional). 

This last encore is where they show up with their hand drawn t-shirts (cute!!), sing some meaningful but fun songs and do their final ments. It was really sweet that they took their time to walk the entire stage sending hearts and kisses, waving at fans and interacting with them. Ryeowook even forgot to sing his part in a song because he was sitting down, signing albums haha my boy. 

Their ments were also cute and fun and heartfelt. And they made a real effort to communicate in our language and let us know how much they’d missed us and that, despite being tired, they were happy to be there. 

Special mention to Kyuhyun, my spanish speaking king, giving his entire speech like a local and going crazy for an inflatable whiskey bottle (x) after we sang him happy birthday lmao.

They closed the show with Ahora te puedes marchar, a total party with every single person singing along, said goodbye again, and that was it. The best two hours and a half of my life.

I came back home with many great memories and new elf friends which feels so good because there aren’t many kpop stans my age with the same music tastes where I live. So it was really lovely being able to share this with other people, specially since many of us had to travel very far away to see them. It was the best kind of bonding experience and I do love meeting people at concerts.

I’m still very emotional about everything. Following the rest of the tour stops in latam kept me on a SS9 high for a week and now I’m slowly coming back to reality, feeling like it was all a dream.

At least I know I didn’t imagine it, because just yesterday EunHae were posting a bunch of videos and pics about the tour with cute messages, so, we’re all going through it haha.

Sweet Nightmare evokes all the feelings of the old glory days of paranormal YA books! ANY fan of YA paranormal is going to want to read this one asap.

Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! Okay, so I don't think there was actually a bear shifter...and not lions or tigers, but definitely other big cats with two leopard shifters! This book has alll the great paranormal creatures plus some I'd not seen before: vampires, fae, wolf shifters, mermaids, sirens, even manticores (no, I did not know what they were until this book, lol).

Clementine has a difficult relationship with her family, but there is so much found family here that it just warmed my heart. it's one of my favorite tropes, and the Calder Academy students came together for each other in the most difficult of circumstances.

Clementine and Jude have the most adorable friends-to-lovers relationship! My favorite thing about them is how Jude calls her by the name of every citrus fruit so she calls him by the name of Beatles songs, ahhhh it's just too sweet!

Although this is YA, Tracy is not at all afraid to put her characters in dangerous situations and make them, even as teens, work through it. These kids are put through the wringer! She does not shy away from the gore and even death such situations would bring either, which I personally would have loved as a teen reader myself.

Seriously, if you're at all a fan of YA paranormal books, including Tracy's Crave series and older standards like Twilight, pick this one up!

To be really really honest, I haven't been this giddy about anything since a long while back on kdrama Twitter. I remember staying up till odd hours analysing every scene of an ongoing kdrama and sharing everything with the community and every release day was CRAZY the good kinda crazy because of all the anticipation and the nerves building and up.

I've been having the exact same feeling with Busted now. It feels like prepping for the big release and I've got my notes running, tangerines peeled and ambience playlist working and it just feels so therapeutic tbh. I wasn't around much on Tumblr because of my birthday posting spree so I wasn't aware that the previous date of Busted release was today and I really sprinted here randomly hoping to find out a date on the release and well 9TH JUNE IS THE MEGA RELEASE OMFG. I feel so happy and motivated to wait for Friday with high spirits and it's all thanks to you Ryen 😭 Let me know if you ever wanna make a kdrama tho

“Okay the first account got blocked because after I told you I was 20, you tried to bring up age of consent and "sometimes 20 year olds date teenagers and I'm a teen and I don't mind", which was inappropriate and made me uncomfortable because me saying "hey, I'm not attracted to teenagers" should not invite counter arguments. Not expecting a reply, just wanted to drop by and say THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I started doing a little modding around in January, mainly trying to google and learn stuff only to find out that info and the modding community of DBH is scarce. I’m a very shy person, so starting to talk with other modders didn’t (and still doesn’t) seem like an option. Not to mention not knowing how to approach them ans where.

I used all the little info I found and got as far as to learn how to do hex swaps on the dbh demo (since the online model swapoer doesn’t work on it). Also found tutorials for textures but didn’t go for it yet. Now that I finally have the full game I’m better able to do more stuff.

Thanks to your activeness, more info has become easily available. Of course I have to thank the whole modding community as well, but I personally feel like it wasn’t until you came along that the info started to surface.

So thank you again and keep doing what you do. I love to follow your modding diary and I’m excited to learn from your learnings!!

I started modding at the start of the year too! I'm so glad you're finding my mod diary entries helpful.

I really want DBH modding information to be much more public, so that's why I started my diary! Unfortunately, a lot of people keep things private when they're not supposed to/are told not to share it. I somehow got caught up in that (which you will see in one of my previous entries) even though it's like, the opposite of what I want to achieve.

I can't take credit for "figuring out" the mods though. People have figured these out long before I got here, and those people are linked in my previous entries. <3

I would love to learn a programming language so I can reverse engineer the game and get codes that way rather than asking fellow modders, but learning that feels so out of my grasp since I like, you know, have work to do. Grass to touch. It's time that I wish I had!

Unfortunately, (and this is NOT to cause drama) my main source of info/mentor has blocked me on Tumblr because she misunderstood a post I created (classic Twitter-style misunderstanding lol)(and no hate to her at all! I am unable to talk to her privately anywhere to reconcile and clarify. So, I'm locked in a learning stalemate at the moment), so the entries will be significantly slower.

You are absolutely welcome to DM me if you get stuck with something. I only know as much as people tell me, so if you figure anything out, please let me know! I'd love to learn anything from anywhere and put it in an entry for more people to find.

I mean you can dislike yandere Chrollo, and how he is mostly portrayed on here, but that isn’t gonna stop those of us that enjoy it. That’s why it’s common to see Chrollo that way, because people make content for it, and there is nothing wrong with that.

Just like how you enjoy him in a specific way, not all will share the same sentiment. That’s why if you want to see more content that you like, you have to create it. You can’t wait for others to do it, and get in your feels from not seeing content you like. It goes both ways.

You should post your headcanons. No one will judge you. Some will agree, others will partially agree/disagree, and then you’ll have those that will disagree. You can’t please everyone. Focus on what you want, and you’ll encourage others to post their views. It’s good to have different perspectives of Chrollo, it helps to see him in different ways, and not just one.

Hello anon! I never meant to imply that other’s couldn’t enjoy that version of him, sorry if I did. Nor am I getting in my feels about it. I just wanted to share my disliking and why it kinda makes me shy to talk about him on here.

Tumblr seems to be the main place where that version of him is most talked about. I’ve found it much easier to share my views on Instagram and Twitter/X. I have been wanting to share my headcanons and writing on here for a while as I don’t expect others to do so for me. Such as 90% of reader inserts being female. I want to write Chrollo with a MAN! Cis or trans, I like both as a transman myself. (Also I’m not saying I don’t think he’d be interested in women as I believe gender doesn’t fully matter to him. I’m just stating a fact that it’s hard to find anything on him with anyone other than a female insert. I wholeheartedly appreciate those who write the reader as gender neutral.)

I actually have been writing Chrollo fanfiction and talking about him for years now, just haven’t shared too much on here. However I will probably put up links when I post my Phantom Troupe prequel fic “Spiders”.

I guess I will make two posts starting out, one for my general headcanons on Chrollo, and another for romantic/relationship headcanons and go from there. After I post them, if I feel comfortable I might do more or expand on certain topics, especially if someone asks 🛐

Which one is better for sharing interest or user differents

Bro tumblr is sooooooo much better than Twitter for fandoms and interests. The tags make it infinitely easier to find what u like and people that talk about what u like. The main reason I migrated here cuz all of my favorite things have non existent fandoms in twitter, and here I was able to find SOOOO much content and people that share the same interests as me!!! It’s so fun

Also the user culture around here is a lot friendlier, u don’t have to walk on eggshells when interacting with someone. It’s not weird to go through someone’s entire blog and like everything, it’s not weird to comment or rb anything, it’s just so much easier to make friends! Like this very ask, smth like this would never happen on Twitter. I’m still kinda shy here and the twitter culture hasn’t completely left my brain, but I’ve met some very cool people! And there isn’t a new drama or discourse everyday

I’m saying all this as someone that exclusively used Twitter for 4 years and was kinda addicted to it, I only stopped completely when the new Zelda game came out and I if I got any spoilers before playing it I would combust into flames. So I came to tumblr, cuz just as it is super easy to find what u like, it’s super easy to filter out anything u want to avoid. I muted every possible variation of “tears of the kingdom spoilers” and every character’s names. And I didn’t get any spoilers for 2 months! If this was twitter I would’ve gotten some in the first day of release.

All in all, here I can only see what I want and super easily, the culture is much friendlier, and isn’t owned by Elongated Muskrat :) twitter is set on fire every day now, I’m glad I jumped the boat before it got too bad (I quit in may). The only thing I miss about it is the cool people I left there and I also used it to see news, idk about any news accounts here in tumblr, besides the destiel memes lmao (also I’m Brazilian so I highly doubt anyone will post news about my country here, 99,9999% of everything is in English). Also the video player in tumblr is DOGSHIT lmao. But anyways. Tumblr very good 👍

This is my first time writing a review for a voice pack! I tried to convey my thoughts the best I could. Text only version of my review is under the cut.

Fulgur Ovid Sakura Bloom Voice CAUTION: This review contains contextual spoilers for Fulgur's 2022 Sakura Bloom Voice!

General: It's Legatus, the character, not the Archivist! So Fulgur is using his more cool voice! As edgy as Legatus may be, the way he acts towards the listener is a bit of a surprise! It's a scenario so you, the listener, take part of the story. If a close distance is uncomfortable for you, this voice pack may be more your preference.

TRACK 1 & 2:  States the theme and quickly establishes what activity you will be partaking. (5sec each)

TRACK 3: Though this is Legatus, it's quite sweet. He takes the role of a good friend doesn't want you to not miss out on a fun opportunity alone. The bit of audible embarrassment and reluctance is very cute. I don't want to say he's a little tsundere, but-     (~1min)

TRACK 4: It seems that we get a little peek into what may be an insecurity of Legatus. (This makes me wonder how close the Legatus of Fulgur's voice packs will be to Legatus from Legatus 505 from this voice pack onwards.) He's very glad and thankful to have the chance to have this experience with you. You can almost hear a slight gentle smile in his believably genuine tone.     (~2min)

TRACK 5: Legatus throughout is very kind, but in this track he really makes sure that the listener feels taken care of; it's very sweet, like he is on stream (though it's Legatus). You, the listener, does something cringe! How dare.     (~2min)

TRACK 6: You do something else that's a bit cringe! And Legatus returns that action with a surprise! Despite that, the atmosphere is very light, playful, and sweet. The very last phrase can be interpreted in two different ways (platonic or... ), it's really up to the listener to decide the distance of the relationship!     (~2min)

Final Thoughts: I've probably said "sweet" dozens of times during this review, but the dialog and scenario is just that, sweet. Despite Legatus's cool exterior he cares for others and Fulgur conveys that well through his voice acting and approach. The idea of enjoying your time and making lasting memories is a reoccurring theme throughout. It's a nice sentiment especially with how busy life can be. Overall, Fulgur's Sakura Bloom voice pack is a pleasant experience that can provide you with a small pause of comfort.

“Hey guys, how are you? It’s been a while. I hope the prerecorded youtube videos were enough to bridge the time while I was gone,” Jeno giggled almost shyly into the camera, watching his viewers trickle in and the chat filling up with welcome back messages, his cute Samoyed emotes being used liberally by his subs. “I’ve been more than fine, thank you,” he smiled before reading out a bunch of resubs that had been happening during his short hiatus, happy that his audience didn’t seem to have forgotten about him. “Wow those were a lot, thank you so much for your support guys, it honestly means a lot,” he ended the seemingly endless reading, quickly taking a sip from his trusty Redbull. “Yeah, uhm. I still see a lot of people asking if I was sick or something because I look so tired… Which yeah… Sleeping has not been the easiest thing, especially with my heightened senses despite being able to puppy nap almost anywhere,” he interrupted himself with a shy giggle, feeling how his tail swished against the leather of his chair. “Yeah so, for those who aren’t following me on Twitter or Instagram… Two- no almost three weeks ago, my little pup was born. I’m a dad now. And my girlfriend and I decided that it was best if I took some time off of streaming so I could spend as much time as possible with them until the little one has settled into a somewhat regular routine with nursing and sleeping.” Pulling up the picture he had posted of a bundled up Haneul in his arms, only his way too big ears and fluffy tail visible, he shared his screen again to show the viewers who hadn’t seen it yet. “That’s my baby boy,” Jeno smiled, his eyes barely able to keep up with all the heart emotes and congratulations in chat. “Thank you so much, guys. We’ve been good. The pup and my girlfriend are both as healthy as they could be even though we’re both very tired. He sleeps really well but he’ll still wake up at least once a night because he’s hungry or simply because he wants some cuddles,” the Samoyed hybrid shared. 

“Will you go back to your usual streaming schedule now? I don’t know yet, honestly. If I go back to three or four times a week, I’ll probably won’t stream as long? Being a first-time dad is exhausting, guys,” he laughed sheepishly, “We’re simply figuring out stuff as we’re going. Like my girlfriend is still high on hormones and can easily sleep way less than I do and be twice as energetic about it. She also already has nailed what the pup needs when he cries.” “You’ll learn that soon enough as well, don’t worry. Aaaah, that’s so sweet of you, thank you. I’m trying, I really am but sometimes he’ll just cry and cry until mommy takes him from me and he’s calm within a second. Which is just slightly offputting but he’s just more used to her I am guessing. And she is his primary source of food so there’s that.” “Will you share more of him? I haven’t really given it much thought yet. It’s not like I am some giant internet personality or something and he’s still very small and just so adorable that I might not always have the self-restraint to not post pictures of him literally everywhere. My whole camera roll is just pictures of him and my girlfriend,” Jeno giggled, “And it’s not like I could do anything if he ever decided he wants to visit me in the streaming room when he’s a little older or something. I don’t want him to think this room is off-limits or that he can’t come to me while I’m in here, you know?” For a little while, Jeno took in the flood of comments on the matter. “Aaah, I know people have very strong opinions about that kind of stuff but we’ll figure it out as we go. I’m also pretty bad at keeping things to myself. You already spoiled his name. Oh, well, yeah. In the post on Instagram, I did put his name in hangeul in the caption. So if you can read that, then yeah, you know his name.” Shrugging, Jeno took another sip from his Redbull can. You and he had debated whether or not to tell his audience Haneul’s name but in the end, Jeno had argued that he’d let it slip sooner or later anyway, so there was no use in hiding it in the first place. “Aaah, the auto-translation just translates it to sky?” He asked when he saw the comment fly by, his head tilting slightly to the right on instinct. “Well, that makes sense, that would be the literal translation of the characters. Pretty, isn’t it? Little sky puppy.” “Fitting if he has your ears. That’s true,” Jeno laughed, “His ears are so big right now. Like disproportionally big. His tail has the right length for his small body but the ears are just so big on him, it’s adorable. I could honestly just go on and on and on about how cute and adorable he is. God. I could keep going and show you about 200 pics of his ears”

“What game are we playing? Yes, let’s actually get started since most of you probably couldn’t care less about my pup and are here to see me play some games. Which is also what I am here for. So. We are playing something chill tonight. I know the room is pretty soundproof but I don’t wanna risk scaring the pup, so we will just hop into a game that I wanted to play for literally forever and I never picked it up because there are so many horror games on my list as well and I know you love seeing me scared. But as always, I’ll leave for a quick pee break and will be right back.” Smiling, Jeno turned up the chill background music for his viewers before he took off his headphones. From the corner of his eye, he could make out his chat erupting in messages of “chairno” with a bunch of hearts already as well as the little jamming dog emote Renjun had drawn and animated for him. 

Still smiling, he slipped out of his streaming room to quickly go to the bathroom. But he didn’t go back without a detour to the living room where you had his stream up on the big TV, holding Haneul to your chest. “Hey baby,” Jeno whispered, carefully sitting down next to you to not jostle you and in turn Haneul even if he simply wanted to flop down on the cushions to cuddle up next to you and his baby boy. “He’s awake,” you smiled, gently caressing your son’s squishy cheek. “Hello my baby boy,” Jeno cooed, giving in to the urge that told him he had to gently nuzzle his head against Haneul’s tummy. He was too tiny to properly scent him but the gesture still gave Jeno so much comfort and it seemed to make Haneul happy as well, his mouth open wide in resemblance of a smile and his eyes slightly curved in what you swore would become his dad’s signature eye smile in no time. They were still a very stark blue but Jeno was sure they would darken up eventually. “Will you be a good baby while daddy has to work?” He asked, gently running a finger along the shell of one of the big puppy ears that sat atop of Haneul’s head that he’d need to grow into which twitched adorably at the touch. “He’ll be the best boy,” you smiled, “We’re gonna watch daddy’s stream until its bedtime, right Haneul?” Of course, it was way too early for your son to vocalize anything properly, so he simply kicked his little sock-clad feet at the sound of your voice. “He’s so excited,” Jeno giggled, holding his palm out for Haneul to kick against. “Because he just got a fresh diaper,” you laughed, “And his naptime with daddy was extra good.” “Oh was it?” “He told me himself,” you smiled, giggling into the kiss Jeno pressed against your lips. 

“I gotta get back to work,” he sighed, his ears flattening against his head. “Off you go. Enjoy your game,” you shooed him, quickly pecking his lips again. “I’ll miss you,” he sighed. “You’re so dramatic,” you affectionately rolled your eyes. “Says the one who cried because she had to let her son out of her eyesight for a five-minute shower,” Jeno teased tight back, stretching out his tongue. “Go work, you idiot.” “I love you both too. Call me if you need anything.” “We’ll be fine, promise.” “Goodbye, baby boy,” Jeno smiled, pressing a featherlight kiss to Haneul’s forehead, “Be good for mommy while daddy isn’t here.”
