Identifying Triggers: Unveiling Common Triggers that Can Lead to Fainting
Tumblr media
Sudden fainting, also known as syncope, is a temporary loss of consciousness caused by a brief reduction in blood flow to the brain. It can be a startling and alarming experience for individuals who experience it, as well as those around them. In this article, we will explore the common triggers that can lead to fainting episodes, the signs that indicate you may be about to pass out, and the importance of seeking expert medical care from top neurologists at Kailash Hospital in Greater Noida.
Understanding Fainting Triggers
Orthostatic Hypotension
Description: A sudden drop in blood pressure upon standing up, leading to dizziness and potential fainting.
Causes: Dehydration, certain medications, blood volume abnormalities, and autonomic nervous system disorders.
Vasovagal Syncope:
Description: The most common type of fainting episode is triggered by a strong emotional or physical stimulus.
Triggers: Intense fear, pain, emotional distress, standing for long periods, heat exposure, and blood draw.
Cardiac Causes:
Description: Underlying heart conditions can disrupt blood flow and lead to fainting.
Causes: Abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias), structural heart defects, heart valve disorders, and heart attacks.
Neurological Causes:
Description: Certain neurological conditions can contribute to sudden fainting episodes.
Causes: Seizures, migraines, transient ischemic attacks (mini-strokes), and other neurological disorders affecting blood flow to the brain.
Signs You're About to Pass Out:
Lightheadedness and Dizziness:
Feeling lightheaded or dizzy is often an early warning sign that you may faint.
It may be accompanied by blurred vision, a sense of unsteadiness, or a feeling like the room is spinning.
Pale Skin and Cold Sweats:
When blood flow to the brain decreases, the body responds by constricting blood vessels, resulting in pale skin and excessive sweating.
Nausea and Weakness:
Before fainting, you may experience feelings of nausea, weakness, or generalized fatigue.
Tunnel Vision and Loss of Focus:
Visual disturbances, such as tunnel vision or seeing spots, can occur as blood flow to the eyes and brain is compromised.
Seeking Expert Care at Kailash Hospital

By seeking expert care from top neurologists at Kailash Hospital in Greater Noida, individuals experiencing syncope can receive specialized attention, accurate diagnosis, and personalized treatment plans. save do you have any tips for managing migraines
uhhhhhh lessee
personally i have prescriptions for it cause mine screwed my brain up but obvious ones like proper rest + maybe log what you eat and see if theres any correlation + general put nutrients in your body stuff which is actually kind of hard to keep track of
i have some REALLY WEIRD scent based triggers so i have to stay away from ammonia-like scents and eucalyptus cause those will put my ass out flat IMMEDIATELY, thats not an everyone thing but maybe note if theres sensory stuff around you that might be a trigger
for me warm toned lights and screen tints are way better than cool tones/white light and if youve got light colored eyes wear amber tinted sunglasses outdoors
water + salty snack > pedialite > gatorade and depending on caffeine sensitivity maybe moderate that cause it can either help or hurt, kinda depends on the person, but water and saltines will get you electrolytes and its cheap as fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck even if it doesnt taste as great as gatorade
sunlight on your skin and not in your eyeballs
also vitamin d just in general helps but its way better to actually use the sun for that than trying to digest it so like just 10ish minutes in the sun is what my neurologist recommended on top of taking 2000mg tablets
thats what ive got off the top of my head

I am very confused about my neurology appointment this afternoon.
A lot of things were confusing but I think what confused me the most was that she told me she doesn’t deal with nerve damage, paralysis-like symptoms, or seizure-like symptoms. Is she…? A neurologist? I’m genuinely struggling to figure out what she would deal with.

- Articles - Organizations - Shops - Toolkits - Self-Care - Books (oh lord are there books)

Remembering how I had an allergic reaction one summer. Complete with hundreds of hives all over my back and my throat swelling. And I had to go to the ER and get an IV of antihistamines.
And then I went to the allergist and they didn't see any new allergies on the test so the allergist said THAT I MUST HAVE BEEN BITTEN BY BUGS AND DIDN'T NOTICE. THAT I WAS BITTEN MY HUNDREDS OF BUGS THAT GAVE ME HIVES. NOT BITES. AND I DIDN'T NOTICE. AND YES HE WAS A MAN

Man, life is just depressing right now
#the one thing that was keeping me sane has gone away#i would always say 'yeah every medical professional has given up and there's nothing they can do. but at least i have my PTs' well...#my current PT's are the only ones that ever treated me like a person and they always kept trying...but they've given up too#basically Clare was like we haven't made any gains in over a year and your state keeps getting worse. nothing we do helps#so it may be time to consider stopping bc throwing away money isnt helpful either#and i argued that it's damage control and improves my quality of life and i have a progressive disease i never was going to get better#not to mention mentally it helps to know there's people in my corner and at least they haven't given up on me#but now they have and im feeling so very very alone and hopeless#it's not like this is a surprise right? ive always been beyond help and it's an incurable degenerative disease#but still getting to this point fucking sucks#and i went to the new neurologist and he had nothing but crazy experiments bc ive tried fucking everything#and then to top it off the only doctor i trusted from when i was a teenager for one specific med issue had also said the same#literally this week she was like there's nothing more. i cant help find someone else. sorry kid. wishing you the best#and Xmas is a depressing and challenging time too#and i have 400 med problems while trying to find work#the past few weeks have pulverized me and i havent stopped crying in days#so yeah. terribly terribly alone#and im trying not to go down any spirals and havent. my therapist was out this week. but im seriously questioning the point#at this point maybe i should give up too#im being stubborn bc no i cant go yet i havent seen the lights yet or read my new books#but honestly i havent been able to read partially bc im afraid if i do im losing the last tethers to earth#there's not much or anything to live for#it's at times like these you truly realize how much you dont want to die. you just wish you could live#but im broke and freezing and in pain and alone. this story's ending fucking sucks#my dbt is coming in clutch but seriously. is there a point anymore?#never got to live. sick since a kid. hell was always here#sorry for the depressing state of things ill go back to being insane in a moment#p

A WIP of a comic thingy I’m workin on cus I’m impatient. Sometimes you have an OC who’s specifically there to be inserted into universes where Your Blorbo Needs A Therapist. Doc Laanka’s got her work cut out for her with these two…
Tumblr media
… kinda.
#my wips#I rly should just be writing fics at this point AHDVSH it’d be easier as far as these conversation heavy scenes go in my head#but also: what if I made my hand hurt by drawing everything individually#laanka again is kinda my universal therapist OC. in whatever universe I put her in she acts as a therapeutic outlet.#in general she’s pretty brain-focused in her studies. she’s usually some kinda neurologist on top of doing psychotherapy.#in ASO her job is primarily psychotherapy but she researches cerebroslugs in her available time. usually oversees individual research teams#she also doesn’t think of them as parasites and is more sympathetic to their existence. a lot of her clients are host&slug who want to-#-explore coexisting together.#which in my head is kinda how Norman and Skip get in contact with her. Norman reads about her and is like ‘oh I’ll shoot her an email’-#-and Skip decides No He Wants To Send The Email so skip just sends laanka an email that just says ‘therapy’. no grammar no punctuation-#-no context. and Norman nearly dies on the spot of embarrassment. Laanka gets back to them within the hour and she’s seen cerebroslug-#-emails before. she knows that’s probably what she’s dealing with. sends back an email like ‘hi anonymous :) yes I do offer therapy.#would you like me to send you some available times I have coming up? would love to know your name as well! - Dr. Laanka Noelle’#Norman decides that he’s gonna send the emails from now on Thank You Skip. Thanks bud HWBDHDH#anyway. I’ll get this done… eventually. I just think my man(s) could use therapy LMAO

Don’t get me wrong, I love characters who embrace their disabilities and aren’t pre-occupied with the goal of ‘curing’ them as much as the next person. But as somebody whose body is trying to kill her and is in constant chronic pain and wants NOTHING MORE than to feel what’s it’s like to have a functional body, Viktor from Arcane is so fucking cathartic.
