No. 5: Kouji Minamoto

It started with a misunderstanding. Miyako had stalker - well, not really, he was just a local boy who enjoyed lurking in the shadows and frequenting I-Mart. Still, that didn't stop her from being miffed about him. It was then that Miyako met his twin brother, Kouji Minamoto. Their first encounter wasn't a pleasant one: she was put off by his lack of attitude towards his brother, while he was put off by her attitude towards his brother. And Kouji was blunt to the point of rudeness. Miyako could go without someone like him in her like. But something about Miyako caught the young man's fancy and made him come back for more. Was it her fiery temper? Her sincere words? Her undeniable Inoue Charm™? Regardless, if a handsome young man comes back to her, who is she to deny him? They had a whirlwind romance, with the smitten Miyako calling him her "knight in shiny armor". Unfortunately, it wasn't made to last. Miyako wasn't the only one in Kouji's heart and she wasn't about to share him. It was either her, or the other girl. The other girl won.

No. 3: Yuuko Kamishiro

Met in a shopping mall due to unusual circumstances, Miyako quickly fell in love for the aloof Yuuko Kamishiro. It wasn't just Yuuko's composed beauty, but their shared affinity for technology and love for all kinds of food. But their differences were bigger than their similarities. If Miyako had been the sun that brought warmth to Yuuko's cold life, she'd also become the sun that burned too bright and consumed their patience. There's no space for a boisterous teenager in the life of a prodigy heiress. They had to break up.

No. 1: Mimi Tachikawa

Dating your idols, what a foolish, childish dream. But Miyako is a fool, and she was very much a child. The fantasies she had of a forbidden romance, of Mimi taking her by the hand to a field of flowers that belonged to them and them only, of Mimi reciprocating her undying love for her. But fantasies don't belong to reality. Mimi only saw her as a quirky friend. Mimi can't be shackled to someone just because they're her biggest fan. The only thing left for Miyako was to wake up from her fairy tale.

{Behold! Miyako's infamous (?) list of crushes and significant others she had until Ken and her started dating sometime after Kizuna (or The Beginning, we all know they won't be dating in The Beginning).

This list also serves for verses were Miyako won't be dating and marrying Ken. In this case, I'll use the right beaus according to the verse - for example, beaus she dated during college won't appear if I'm writing on her teen verse.

Also, in threads where Miyako is actually dating one of her ex-beaus, they'll be automatically out of the list.

The beaus also serve to give more life to non-shipping threads, to make her pine and comment about someone she's into if the subject ever comes into picture.

Finally, the beaus are inspired by the muses I shipped with her along the years. I'll adapt the existing characters from other series into the Adventure universe and I'll try to alter a bit the OCs enough to not cause problems while keeping some of the characteristics that made my Miyako attracted to them. I'll remove any of the non-Adv beaus from the list by their mun's request!!!!

No. 4: Takumi Aiba

With the bonds between the Digital World and the Real World straightened, new issues begin to rise, and with them, new solutions. One of them was Takumi Aiba, known as the Cyber Sleuth, a Chosen Child who used his D-3 to hop around both worlds and solve digimon-related cases. But, as skilled as Takumi may be, he still had trouble landing after going through a Digital Gate. That's when he met the Computer Club President Miyako. It was love at first sight: he was cute, he was sweet, he was good-looking, he was smart, he fell from her computer right into her arms. Takumi wasn't good at talking, but Miyako and his digimon partner Terriermon more than made up for it. Unfortunately the detective, despite being loving, was far too busy with his duties. There simply wasn't enough time for his (very) needy girlfriend. The one who ended the relationship was Miyako. She wanted the 1st place in her his heart, which was the one thing the Cyber Sleuth couldn't give her.

No. 2: Hikari Yagami

The same mind, hearts beating as one. Hands connected, saving each other from the darkness within. Brought together by destiny, it was only natural that Miyako and Hikari would end up dating each other. And they did for a short while. But Hikari was ethereal, unreachable, and there were other people who seemed to break the barrier to Hikari's heart rather than Miyako. People that she noticed her girlfriend was far more comfortable with than herself. Miyako couldn't keep on being 2nd place in her girlfriend's heartd. So she didn't.

- Alright! I’m gonna talk about Sora-senpai now! The first time I met Sora-senpai was also the first time I went to the Digital World and met Hawkmon, so it was a very special day for me. I was so excited! But when we got there, Daisuke fell into this huge hole and a bunch of digimon appeared and everyone started fighting and– Gyaaah!! I was so scared! I wanted to go home and quit all this Chosen Child business right away! No way I was gonna stay there and get killed like that! But I didn’t have time to do anything before Sora-senpai pulled me by the arm so we could run away.

 - She was so brave! Still, I was in shock with all that fighting. I had never seen something like that and definitely didn’t sign up to be part of it! And it was Sora-senpai who gave me strength to accept my role as a Chosen Child and fight. To have someone so strong and kind telling me she’d walked on my shoes before and that she was grateful for it inspired me to be the hero Hawkmon needed me to be. Honestly, I don’t think I’d even pull the Digimental he was sealed under from its place if Sora-senpai wasn’t there for me.

- …oops~! That’s a lot of rambling, isn’t it? But what I wanted to say is that Sora-senpai is one of the most warm and inspiring people I’ve ever met. I look up to her a lot and, hopefully, one day I’ll have a heart as strong and loving as she does. And maybe her athletic body too, who knows~

An Evolution Headcanon

More than one year ago, I was asked which digimon I thought Hawkmon’s Perfect and Ultimate forms could be. Back then, I answered Hippogryffomon and Griffomon but, after a lot of thinking, I decided to change them to Yatagaramon and Valdurmon, respectively. Yatagaramon, named after the mythical Yatagarasu, serves as a reference to the Japanese culture Hawkmon admires so much. Hawkmon is also said to be a descendant of an ancient digimon species, making Valdurmon, an ancient digimon with purifying powers, a good fit for Miyako’s partner.

These two aren’t as aesthetically similar to Aquilamon as my previous choices but, thematically, I believe they are much better choices and will be Hawkmon’s Perfect and Ultimate forms in this blog until his official evolutionary line is released.

During Miyako’s part in the the 2003 CD Drama we learn that she’s working for Yamato’s band but she thinks he has kind of the music taste of an old man. But what if, after hanging out with each other so much because of the Teen-Age Wolves, Miyako starts to appreciate the same songs as Yamato does? She’s still a lover of music, after all~
