I love Arizona and all the hummingbirds flitting around… 🌵🐦‍⬛

You can see them year-round but April through October are the months with the greatest concentration, especially in southeastern Arizona. They love my swimming pool waterfall.. 💧

Moonflower - May 2023 I was surprised to see a large clump of Moonflower growing just below the bike path in Oro Valley, AZ. I had this growing in front of my porch in Oelwein, Iowa, so I immediately recognized it and decided to stop to capture a couple of images. Image two shows why this is also called Devil’s Trumpet. The flowers are very trumpet-shaped. Image three shows the bush growing among wild plants. The official name for Moonflower is Datura and it is in the nightshade family. All nightshade is poisonous. Eating any part of this plant– or making tea with the leaves– will lead to hallucinations… and death. These Oro Valley bike paths are great with only one problem. When you leave Catalina State Park, any path you take quickly goes downhill, so your return trip is uphill. I did 16 miles on the day I took these pictures, which means 8 continuous miles uphill to get back to camp. MWM

The family and I checked out Walter's Pizzeria and was EXTREMELY pleased.

We order 3 items and the portions were HUGE!!!!! Completely feed a family of 4 and had leftovers. I was stuffed!!!! ….and I'm a big boy!

We got the Spaghetti and Meatballs with Garlic Knots, Meat Lover's 10" Pizza, and a Pepperoni Sausage Mushroom Calzone with a side salad….at a total of $43 (you can't even feed a family of 4 McDonalds for that).

The spaghetti sauce had so much flavor and was AMAZING!! I was scooping it up with my calzone. Couldn't get enough of it. The calzone was cooked to perfection. I've got them from other places were they weren't fully cooked through, but this was perfect.

Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. Talked with the owner and found out everything down to the pasta, dough, sauces, etc are all made in house from scratch.

If you haven't already checked them out and looking for a great Tucson Italian Restaurant , I highly recommend them. 11 out of 10!!!

Bunny Rabbit - April 2023 There was a huge pen filled with rabbits at the Ostrich Ranch. Some of them would come over to the edge to accept dropped food. This one, who looked very much like he had gotten enough to eat, instead just sat and watched the parade of tourists walking by. I was reminded very much of “Bugsy Lynn,” a rabbit my sister had as a pet when we were very young. I remember it as white and brown, but I don’t think it was this big. MWM
