A deadly earthquake struck Turkey and Syria a week ago, killing thousands. Despite the despair, stories of "miracles" have emerged. One of them is this.

Necla Camuz named her second son Yagiz, which means "brave one," when he was born on January 27.

Necla was awake feeding her son at their home in southern Turkey's Hatay province just 10 days later, at 04:17 local time. They were buried under rubble mounds moments later.

Necla and her family lived on the second floor of a five-story modern building in Samandag. She describes it as a "nice building" in which she felt safe.

She had no idea that morning that the earthquake would tear the area apart, with buildings damaged and destroyed at every turn.
