What are your thoughts on only one photo of George being released for his 10th birthday? Not enough or just right?

Just right.

I think William and Catherine include their children* in their decision-making regarding their birthday photos and George, who we know is more reserved than his sister, chose that photo as one he liked and that's that. It's been the case for a couple of years now that we've only had one photo of George, and he's old enough to have some control over it. It's his face, after all. :) I know people think it's weird, but I don't think so at all. I have a shy and reserved boy a few weeks younger than George and I always consult him on photos I'm sharing - not that I share many of my kids, but even privately with family, he's old enough to say yes/no and I always respect that. I simply think it's the same kind of thing for the Waleses.

*I mean George and Charlotte who are old enough to have a final say on their photos being shared. I doubt Louis cares just yet 🤣

new feelings about old gear!

So remember Kenny Omega's 'I Still Love You' gear? It looked like this.

The L-I in "Elite" is a BULLET, okay?

He debuted it during G1 Climax 27, for his block match with Kazuchika Okada—the first time he finally beat Okada. He also wore it the following night in the G1 final against Tetsuya Naito.

G1 Climax 27 also marked Kota Ibushi's return to NJPW after about 2 years away. Kenny was wearing the above gear when he had a tense reunion with Ibushi, his former tag partner, backstage following the final.

Awkward, bc this gear is a love letter to Ibushi. It's based on Ibushi's overall aesthetic (and also a throwback to Kenny's Golden-Lovers-era gear), but mostly this specific gear.

The original and only King Kota.

If you don't recognize this Ibushi gear, it's because he wore it only about 5 or 6 times before he had to leave to deal with his neck injury at the end of 2015. It would have been the last gear NJPW fans saw him in before he left. (I'm not sure it has any other significance than that, although I wouldn't be surprised if it did.)

What I did not realize until yesterday, when I was looking through some videos of that G1, was that Ibushi actually wore these kick pads a couple of times during G1 Climax 27.

Not even the full gear, just the knee and kick pads...

In the time away from NJPW, he'd wrestled in WWE pretty extensively, and as a freelancer in DDT and a few other Japanese promotions. For all of that, he wore variations on the booty shorts above, that all had corresponding pads with a cool rising-phoenix design on them. Except for a couple of random nights during the G1, when he substituted these retro pads from his old gear. To my memory, he hasn't worn them since.

Anyway it's just a small detail I only noticed in hindsight; in case Kenny's gear was too subtle somehow, Ibushi made sure we'd have seen this gear recently enough to get the reference :')
