we pulled the names of the scientists from the "gravity" episode and repurposed them for fhs because we needed more named scientists for holiday's team! volkov's design went unchanged because i like his beard a lot. the other two got hit with the redesign stick tho since they're essentially ocs. their personalities have almost no resemblance to canon at this point

meant to post this earlier but fae has goldfish brain! here are all the scrapped illustrations for establish connection. i had everything sketched out before posting, and then inked the illustrations the week of posting for the most part
some of these were doodled and then immediately bagged for a better idea, and others were set to be the official illustrations right up until the day before a chapter update and i'd change my mind and draw something completely different
