#Ultrakill v1

ALRIGHT so my ultrakill stuff seems to be going really well here and that makes me super happy since it's been a while. So I thought to share this too.

The original one was the white one, but I've made darker versions cuz why not. I ended up really liking the red one.

haha wow. that death screen. I think that the style system is actually a method of self-soothing in light of this. it has been confirmed that V1 feels fear, and as any living thing that feels fear in order to cope with traumatic and high-stress situations without becoming incapacitated it needs coping strategies. Within this theory, hard damage is representative of the detrimental effect stress has on V1's system. V1 gets stressed and freaks out when severely damaged, making it unable to properly repair itself, so to return to a state of mind where it can properly self-repair (as it has to or it will DIE) it make a game out of it's slaughter. I am. Grrrrrrrr!!!!!!! bark bark bark!!!!! I'm going crazy!!!!!!!!!!

V1's brain probably isn't located inside its head, considering how impractical it would be.

Its "eye," in proportion to the rest of its head, already takes up a considerable amount of space.

+ V1's neck, although being great for staying focused on a target, is also very thin and (probably) fragile, making it an easy target if V1 were to ever be caught off guard.

My best guess is that all of V1's organs are stored in the torso since it seems to be the most protected part of its body.

Just because it's confirmed that all machines do, in fact, have organs, doesn't necessarily mean they have the same look or placement.

saw the new enemy in the trailer and I already love the design so much. they feel like a lil guy to me. holdable, even (will be disintegrated by their lasers)

obviously gabriel is used to stopping machines from descending the layers of hell. especially after the first defeat at the hands of the machine does he begin actively taking out anger on other robots. he grows used to seeing the gory, splattered remains of their insides across the floor. wire and tubing, sparks within metal plating. he's seen it all.

however, he still can't help but become flustered the first time he sees V1s, to the point where he's shaking with some unidentifiable emotion. he feels hot and sweaty under his helmet, his hands clammy at his sides. theres something so intimate about this, it feels almost sinful.

yknow i was raised christian but im agnostic now and mainly associate god with death and dying now. in the few moments that i do actively seek out god its out of fear, because the environment i lived in embraced fearing god so fervently that i hold onto that one lifeline i have before death. i'd call out to that lifeline so it would wrap me up and keep me safe, knowing the presence of it was so overwhelming that it defied all odds.

i think for an angel like gabriel, whos god has abandoned him, the presence that he had grown accustomed to gone, after experiencing a fight with v1, definitely found something. he has been made to love an overwhelming presence, his beginning and end, for as long as he lives, and in the last 24 hours of his life, he finds it in a man made machine. do you think he found their fights to be like worship? does he find a bullet to be a confession, or a parry to be an answer to prayer? is a defeat like communion? or does the blood they spill provide a good enough replacement for the body of christ?
