Blurb: Ruka is a young girl whose parents are separated and whose father works in an aquarium. Umi and Sora’s special power seems to be connected to strange events that have been occurring more and more frequently, such as the appearance of sea creatures far from their home territory and the disappearance of aquarium animals around the world. However, the exact nature of the boys’ power and of the abnormal events is unknown, and Ruka gets drawn into investigating the mystery that surrounds her new friends.

Toshiyuki Tanishi (Ryuhei Maruyama) is 27-year-old single guy, who has never had a girlfriend in his whole life. He works for small toy company, Saida Company. People view Toshiyuki Tanishi as stupid and the last person who will achieve success. Meanwhile, Toshiyuki has feelings for co-worker Chiharu (Akina Minami), but is unable to approach Chiharu. Instead, Toshiyuki goes to telephone clubs or watch adult videos.

One day, Toshiyuki gets along with the salesman Aoyama (Takumi Saito), from rival company Manmos. With Aoyama's suggestion, Toshiyuki is finally able to have dinner with Chiharu. After dinner, Toshiyuki and  Chiharu miss the last train and go to a hotel.

Children of the Sea Anime Film's 2nd Trailer Introduces Melodious Theme Song by Kenshi Yonezu

  The official website for the forthcoming anime film adaptation of Daisuke Igarashi's award-winning

fantasy manga Kaiju no Kodomo/Children of the Sea has started streaming a 60-second second full

trailer introducing its theme song "Umi no Yuurei" (The ghost in the sea) performed by 28-year-old

Japanese singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu.

  Yonezu has loved the manga since his teenage years and has also kept good relationship with the

manga author since the "Louvre No. 9 — Manga, the 9th Art" exhibition in 2016, for which he wrote

the theme song. This is his first film theme song work featuring himself as main vocalist.

  The Ayumu Watanabe (After the Rain, Gurazeni)-directed and Studio 4°C (Tekkonkinkreet, Berserk:

Golden Age Arc)-animated film is set to be released in Japan on June 7, 2019.

Airu Kubozuka Has Left Children of the Sea Film due to Voice Change

  The official website for the forthcoming anime film Kaiju no Kodomo/Children of the Sea announced today

that 16-year-old Airu Kubozuka, who was originally cast as one of three protagonists, Sora, has left the film

due to voice change.

  Kubozuka says, "I was terribly sorry for the inconvenience to the staff, for it was difficult to perform with

stable voice due to my voice changing period. It's very unfortunate, but I had to decide to leave the role.

I am looking forward to the completion of the film, driven by regret."

  19-year-old Seishu Uragami, best known as Kei Shinomiya in the Tomodachi Game live-action adaptation

series, is newly set to voice the character. In addition, 74-year-old dancer Min Tanaka and 28-year-old

Win Morisaki (Ready Player One) join the voice cast. Tanaka voices marine biologist Jim, the guardian

of Sora and Umi, while Morisaki plays Jim's ex-partner Anglade, who has been chasing the secret of the

two boys.
