Not both Ferrari boys getting papped and photos released on the same day. Doesn’t France have strict paparazzi laws?
Yes, we do. We're known for having the strictest laws in terms of privacy. But that doesn't mean the laws are enforced in practice, or even followed by the paparazzi.
I differentiate between stagged fan photos. And those of the paparazzi. I sincerely believe that Charles, or at least his team, was warned that the photos were going to be published. Paparazzi take precautions in France, so it's a bit amicable. I use big quotation marks. Drivers aren't stupid either, and know that they're going to be hounded more by the paparazzi in summer break. For example, Charles was definitely not staged in winter during his ski vacation. And I don't think there were any paparazzi in Val-d'Isère. He was also with his family.
Charles is rarely staged with his family and very often with his girlfriends or friends.
In short, pap photos are less "intrusive" or at least more "consensual" than in other countries. But I really think he wasn't against it and was warned. I'm not saying he deliberately posed with his girlfriend and saw paparazzi. I'm saying that someone accepted or didn't object to these photos. Especially in Corsica. 🙃
It's not even the South of France, as Saint-Tropez, where the celebrities are everywhere and the paparazzi have far fewer morals.

Charles and Tom started following each other after the Monaco GP in 2021 (I think) and among all the personal chef Charles usually hire, he hired Sam this year for his Xmas at Val D'Isère so I don't think it's a reach to think Tom was the connection, It might not be, but it might too
idk i've said it a bunch i have no issue with nepotism when it comes to such trivial jobs like acting or modeling or being a personal chef like literally who tf cares
i only shit on them when they open their mouths and say dumb stuff

"In 2005, as the winner of the downhill at Val d'Isère, Vonn was offered a pregnant Tarine cow, a locally popular dairy breed. As most skiers do not want to keep livestock, she was offered the option to sell the animal immediately back to the organizers for EUR 5,000. However, Vonn decided to keep it, as she knew a farmer in Austria who would be willing to take care of the cow, who she named Olympe. In 2009, she won a goat, which she gave to a different farmer in Austria. In 2014, she won a calf in Val d'Isère, which she kept as well. As of 2014, she owned a small herd of cows on the farm."
alpine skiing prizes just hit different

Okay so I just finished reading in the moon of wintertime (it was fantastic btw), but I have two burning questions. What was the Val-d'Isère incident? And what did Will do to the brussel sprouts?
🤣🤣🤣
Firstly, thank you Nonny glad you enjoyed it. I mean I left those intentionally vague so people could build their own stories for the goofiness of Uncle Will, because let’s face it everyone has a goofy uncle, I say as the goofy uncle. So I’ll let you come to your own conclusion about what happened in the church.
The brussel sprout thing though is something I see at work a lot. Like a lot a lot. Basically a kid sticks something up somewhere, like a brussel sprout up the nose. Then parent/guardian/whoever who can’t figure out how their kid got whatever it was up there, tries it for themselves. And yes, even doctors who should know better, have done it.

Ski-in, ski-out: Haute retreats across the Alps
The Alps’ summit-ready towns — Lech, St. Moritz and Chamonix, to name a few — make quite the convincing case to embrace the cold. Whether you’re a seasoned skier in pursuit of the world’s gnarliest peaks or a spa-goer chasing a treatment-heavy itinerary, here are my top destinations for exploring Europe’s high-altitude adventures.
POWDER PARADISE: MY TOP SKI-IN, SKI-OUT HOTELS
When clients ask what makes a ski trip spectacular, convenience is always at the top of my list. At a ski-in, ski-out hotel, you will step out of your suite and onto the slopes, eliminating the need for transportation to and from the mountain. Better yet, waking up to the panoramic views and enjoying sunsets over the snow-capped peaks creates the most magical atmosphere for an alpine getaway. When you’re ready to book, let’s look into a few of my favorite destinations:
Cheval Blanc Courchevel in Courchevel, France
Four Seasons Hotel Megève in Megève, France
Grand Hotel des Bains Kempinski St Moritz in St. Moritz, Switzerland
The Chedi Andermatt in Andermatt, Switzerland

SKI HARD, APRÈS SKI HARDER: HERE’S TO YOUR ALPINE GETAWAY
In the Alps, après ski celebrations aren’t just a practice; it’s a fully-fledged tradition. From sun-kissed brunches and boot-stomping concerts to firepits crackling with laughter and steam pouring from the spa, here are my top post-slope scenes.
Courchevel, France, is part of the extensive Three Valleys ski area and offers a luxurious après-ski experience, from upscale dining to exclusive clubs. Unwind in the many wellness centers with a massage, sauna session and other pampering treatments. Where to stay: L’Apogee Courchevel, an Oetker Collection Hotel, or Aman Le Mélézin
Val d'Isère, France, is renowned for its heated outdoor terraces accompanied by stunning mountain views. Skiers and snowboarders gather on the terraces after a day on the slopes to bask in the sun. Enjoy warm drinks, live music and picturesque scenery. Where to stay: Airelles Val d'Isère, Mademoiselle
Lech, Austria,is home to some of the most cozy and rustic lounges and chalets in the Alps. Plus, Lech-Oberlech-Zürs is linked to Warth-Schröcken-St. Anton via the Flexenbahn cableway, allowing you to conveniently explore après ski experiences across the Arlberg. Where to stay: Post Lech Arlberg
Verbier, Switzerland, combines challenging slopes with a vibrant nightlife. This resort city has numerous bars and clubs to suit all tastes, and boasts world-renowned DJs and bands. If dancing speaks to you, check out Farinet Lounge and the legendary Farm Club. Where to stay: The Lodge Verbier
