#WHY DOES THE WORD PHYSCIAL LOOK SO WORNG TO ME?

DAY 3: LOVE LANGUAGE; PHYSICAL TOUCH

I think this small sweet little family all of them have that physical touch need.

Sometimes with Love Languages not all the time it's what you lacked as a child is what your love language is or if that's how you've been shown love if you are more comfortable with physical touch than not.

Emma we know grew up in foster homes her first 3 years of life with parents who we don't know much about but I'm gonna go and say besides giving her up when she was 3, were pretty good parents. She was probably cuddled a lot as a child but as she got older her foster parents maybe weren't so nice. Emma is really only seen initialing physical touch with people she trusts/relies on and sometimes it takes some time.

For example, Emma does not hold Henry when he is born but you can see her holding on to the bars of the bed, in my mind, she doesn't want to hold him because she knows she would not want to let him go if she did and she was trying to do the best thing for him. Because for her that little bit of touch forged a trust. Now granted we didn't get to see all of Neal and Emma we saw a few scenes of them pre Manhattan/storybrooke but she is still the one who initiates the physical contact.

Neal if I remember correctly Rumple was very affectionate physically and it wasn't until Rumple was the dark one did Neal shied away from his touch. But with the Darliengs (Wendy) he hugged her and had that physical touch. I think on some level he knew touch meant he was loved or that he loved someone.

Herny was raised by Regina. (Don't want to get too much into Regina but it seemed that for her touch is power and was negative in the parent-child relationship which could be why she also may not prefer physical touch) We see that she holds him close as a baby and maybe she was very cuddly with him as a baby. But by the time we meet HEnry, he's 11 and he shies away from her touch but was that when he got the book or did it happen before that we don't know. But when Emma and HEnry are in Archie's office, he hugs Emma saying "I knew you were going to help me." Emma seems startled by it but lays her arms gently around him. After that, it seems he and she both intialte contact. Actually besides Neal and HEnry Emam is usually the one who initiates contact with someone. Less than a day or a week after Neal and Henry meet. Henry is already initiating contact with Neal with hugs and with Neal keeping his hand on Henry's shoulder ran dnot Henry not shying away.

I truly belive the Physcial Touch for our Modern fairy tale family is their main love language. Probably because on some level they have all been starved of it for multiple years.
