he’s always been one of my favorite characters and I could never understand why people seem to hate him so much to the point of demonizing him even opposing all the facts and nuance that canon gives us

like he’s no saint but literally no one is perfect and it doesn’t take a genius to figure that the things he went through would fuck a person up and idk idk-

I guess more than anything it depresses me that because they didn’t shy away from showing the negative effects of his trauma in his character (like him being clingy and having bad logic and hypersexual behavior), people seem to have misinterpreted him a lot or believe he can’t have healthy relationships ever

and maybe it’s just me, but I think that’s kind of a not so great look to think a trauma survivor is somehow “less than” or can’t overcome their less than pleasant behavior...

because let’s face it, trauma is obviously not pretty, and people who’ve been through the horrible things Alois has aren’t always going to be nice and sweet and innocent despite their trauma, sometimes they’re going to be kind of mean and lash out and do unpleasant things because of their pain, and that doesn’t mean they’re bad people or unworthy of love.

(not to mention that calling someone who’s been raped a “slut” because of a hypersexual response to that trauma is. uh. in poor taste at best, disgusting and harmful at worst.)

anyway daily reminder that I fucking love Alois and he should have had more of a chance to heal and he should have had some help which he desperately needed AND NO I WILL NEVER SHUT UP ABOUT HOW MUCH I ADORE HIM, IF I EVER STOP SCREAMING ABOUT MY LOVE FOR ALOIS TRANCY ASSUME I’M DEAD
