my uni cursus (english civilization litterature language and translation) is forcing us to take another language to study (3hours in the evening one week day) but it doesnt propose Japanese for some reasons

but i didnt want to just pick a language that would get in the way of my Japanese lessons so i ended up picking Chinese for debutant. my reasoning being that since i already know a few kanji, a lot of my radicals to make them, and a few on yomi, one study could feed of the others

on a study level i did well, the teacher had explained to us radicals and such and it is already something familiar to me, the prononciations are toughter but that's gonna be fine. in term of writting it is the logic i have followed for months

I'm already more condifent because i could identify the radicals he showed us, when i was hearing others people be utterly confused by how they were supposed to identify them.

the teacher is very lovely but extremely flustered and a bir dispersed. i feel like he's very stressed (he's also not native french, so he already told us he was scared to mess up with french despite the fact his french is flawless if not for hesitation when he makes sentences and who could blame him)

so personally it doesnt bother me bc i already know what he's trying to teach, and i see what he's actually trying to say or why he is hesitating.

however

im going to start throwing hands at people.

there's girls behind le who keep mocking the pronotiation, the teacher and how he does a few mistakes (like he accidentally scrolled too fast on his powerpoint or has to come back to things he forgot to say, obvious signs of stress ffs) or "how stupid that the writing and vocal doesnt align" and im just. i get not knowing your stuff but thats the minimum to know before being wrapped into it

and people are so irrespectful im. seriously about to throw hands.

if anything tho it transformed my "doing that so it wouldnt be too confused while still studying japanese on the side" to doing it out of pure spite against people who are shittalking the language simply bc they didnt think one second what comes with learning language, and to try to support the teacher bc I'm already hearing people talking about dropping out because of his class and it is making me so angry, like, what he was saying wasnt that hard to follow either.
