ERIE, Waldwick, New Jersey, 1943 by Center for Railroad Photography & Art Via Flickr: Erie Railroad 2-8-2 steam locomotives nos. 3212 and 3018 lead a westbound freight train through the s-curve at Waldwick, New Jersey, on February 14, 1943. These engines, with no. 3018 in the lead, had come down on eastbound train no. 90 that morning. The second section of no. 90, with a 4100-series locomotive, was delayed in Highland Mills by a derailment and didn’t come through Waldwick until 4:00 p.m. on this day. Photograph by Donald W. Residential Boiler Installation Contractor in Barrington, NJ - Why You Should Hire a Professional
Winter is coming. If you live in Barrington, NJ, you know how cold it can get during the winter months. As temperatures drop, your heating system becomes more important than ever. If you're considering installing a new boiler or replacing an old one, it's crucial to hire a professional residential boiler installation contractor barrington nj. In this blog post, we'll discuss why hiring a professional is the best course of action and highlight some of the benefits that come with doing so.
Expertise: A professional residential boiler installation contractor has the expertise and experience necessary to install your new boiler correctly. They understand the complexities involved in the installation process and have undergone extensive training and certification to ensure they can do the job right. By hiring a professional, you can rest easy knowing that your boiler will be installed safely and efficiently.
Safety: Installing a boiler is not something that should be taken lightly. There are many safety considerations to take into account when installing a gas or oil-fired unit. A professional residential boiler installation contractor knows how to handle potential hazards such as gas leaks or carbon monoxide poisoning and will take all necessary precautions to protect your family's safety.
Cost-effective: Although hiring a professional may seem like an added expense, it can actually save you money in the long run. A poorly installed boiler can lead to higher energy bills due to inefficiencies or even break down altogether, requiring costly repairs or replacement sooner than expected.
Warranty protection: When you hire a professional residential boiler installation contractor, they typically provide warranty protection for their workmanship and materials used in the installation process. This means that if anything goes wrong with your new unit due to faulty installation within a certain period after installation, you're covered.
Peace of mind: Perhaps most importantly, hiring a professional residential boiler installation contractor gives you peace of mind. You can trust that your new boiler is in good hands and that it will provide reliable heating for years to come.

NJT 4101 is on train 1159 at Waldwick, NJ 12/15/2022. Still running in commuter service 54 years after it was built, The 4101 has been restored to its NJTDOT "Bluebird" paint scheme it wore from 1979 until it was repainted in NJTransit's silver and disco stripe scheme sometime after 1983. The 4101 was delivered to the CNJ in 1968 as their 3672 and wore B&O blue. The numbering in the 3600's and the B&O blue paint was done as the B&O financed the GP40P's and the B&O intended to take the GP40P's back if CNJ stopped running commuter trains. Instead, NJDOT bought out the GP40P's and they continued to be the backbone of commuter pool on the Raritan Valley Line at least until 1983 when F40PH's and CometII's began to replace the GP40P's and the "Jersey Builder" coaches during the 1980's. The Ex-CNJ units received a second rebuilding in the early 1990's replacing the steam generators with HEP. They have been primarily assigned to Hoboken and former EL territory ever since.

An art project with the “WC” tower in Waldwick NJ along the NJ Transit tracks.
Visit their webpage for more info!
Dates and Deadlines Deadline for submitting proposals: September 30, 2024
Selection: October 31, 2024
Realization Period: June 2025 to October 2025
Context of the project The Art @ WC Tower is an initiative of the Waldwick Historical Society (WHS), Waldwick, New Jersey. The project provides opportunities for artists and creators to work artistically with the Erie Interlocking Tower (WC) in Waldwick, New Jersey to bring attention to the historical nature of the WC interlocking tower. WHS will work with the artists to secure the funding depending on each project, through funding applications and fundraisings, after the selection process.
Interested artists are invited to apply to work with the former interlocking tower for an exhibition for the train passengers passing adjacent to the tower. The artist will gain insight into the complex structure of the US railway system and in particular the former Erie Railroad and the current New Jersey Transit system.
\In addition, the artist will join the historical fabric being preserved in the museum, located within the tower. The process of creating, exhibiting and delivering your exhibition will be captured with photos and video in order to include them in the documentation of this significant effort at this interlocking tower. This call addresses specifically artists working site-specifically, who are interested in creating works that can be experienced from the trains passing by.
Submission of sketches Applications containing a sketch of your idea and information on your background can be sent to [email protected]. Please send to this email any questions you might have about the call. One does not need to submit a fully formed concept at this stage, but is required to provide a good idea of the planned work, the planned materials and in relation to the tower. Submit as a single PDF with a maximum of 5 Pages. The submission should include the following:
● Written explanation of your concept: narrative describing your planed work and its connection to the tower, including your choice of materials, in maximum one page.
● Visualization of the idea: describe the planned work using sketches, photos or computer-generated image in maximum one page.
