i think one of my fave things about Kudo falling flat on his face in love with Miyo is that you could argue that he just wants Miyo cause she's quiet and obedient and would be so easy to control. but when you consider that all the people close to Kudo (Yurie, Godo, his sister Hazuki, even that clotheshop keeper) are not actually scared of him, and sass him on a regular basis, you realize that he has no desire to control others.

basically what I'm saying is it's just inevitable that one day Miyo will sass Kudo and he will be even more of a useless cringefail besotted husband about it

still obsessed that a serious reputedly cold-hearted military captain like kudou is goin around wearing this pretty little purple ribbon in his hair all cause his wife made it for him. mans in war meetings in his cute purple hairtie because he loves his wife so so so much. lbr miyo could probably fix a seam in his uniform with a pink flowery design and he'd refuse to take it off.

Just an absolutely beautiful last half of the episode. After that bitch of a sister triggered her PTSD, Miyo went back into her shell and regressed to her quiet detached self. How thoughtful of her fiancé to reach out to Hana like that. Hana was exactly who Miyo needed to hear from in that moment.

Kiyoka is such a kind and considerate person. Literally exactly what Miyo needs at this point in her life. He was able to deduce the abuse she suffered at the hands of her parents and constantly reassures Miyo at every opportunity. A real man.
