“This here's a bottomless pit, baby. $6.6 trillion, straight down.”

*To put this into perspective, the American war in Afghanistan cost $2.313 trillion across twenty one years

The three-hundred-year history of iron mining in Morris County, NJ
Morris County's abandoned mines have created all manner of chaos for commuters this year when sections of highway above have collapsed into sinkholes.
Most passing through this portion of Interstate 80 don't realize that iron production in the Wharton and Rockaway region began in the early 1700s and produced material vital to the Revolutionary War. Several mines remained active until the late 1800s and early 1900s.

This recent article traces the history of one family's iron mine in Rockaway and how two major highways cut through their nearby home in nearby downtown Parsippany.

"Heavy Snowfall"
The 2013 Toys for Tots train treads lightly through a winter storm as they approach Lake Junction with plenty of donations from the first three stops along the M&E High Bridge Branch. Despite the weather making driving conditions unfavorable, the local residents of the towns this train made stops in were happy to brave the elements to make their contributions to the cause. FA Cup Final Special The Palace Way: Hope For The Best Expect The Worst
‘That’s what supporting Palace teaches you, how to expect the gut punch before it lands.’ It’s the Crystal Palace way, hope for the best but expect the worst. It’s the same for all teams, where the only way to win anything is by winning a tournament means coming top of whatever division at the end of the season. I went on record in the Guardian comment section before the season began,…
