Nothing unusual to see in Boston. Just a typical Tuesday in Roxbury. But also: some fun facets about these zebras I was creeping. These are called Grevy’s zebras, but your probably always refer to them among your friends as “equals grevyi” in casual conversation. The Grevy’s zebra is not to be confused with the gravy zebra, who is a horrible dinner guest known for their hoarding sauces. The gravy zebra also is notorious for hiding dinner rolls in it’s lap and odiferous burping. However, the Grevy’s zebra only eats coarse grasses and maybe some ground berries; it’s diet is pretty scruffy. Which is why it can chill in #Roxbury and be okay with our local grass. The Grevy’s zebra is the largest type of zebra, which is fascinating to most people because most people don’t even think there are more than one kind of zebra. Admit it: you want to PRETEND you’re smart and know all about zebra variety, but you were strong cold clueless that they come in different sizes. Quit fronting like you’re SOOO smart. The Grevy’s #zebras is endangered. That means humans are destroying heir ability to survive. Any healthy Grevy’s zebra is a good thing, but there is a deep pity that these proud animals have to be contained in pens just to avoid distinction. Humans, collectively, really are compassionless beings. Yes, feel depressed. We’re jerks and it’s an important touch of shame to feel. Anything to nudge us towards change. Grevy’s zebras don’t make permanent adult attachments. They are herding-slutty; they can break up and reform herds and bounds super quick, with no stress. Don’t date a Grevy’s #zebra. They WILL cheat on you with other herds. It’s not a maybe. They survive by being able to quickly rebound and ditch previous adults, with whom they may have even shown intense loyalty. We’ve all been in relationships with a Grevy’s zebra. Heartbreakers, these ones. You have been warned. Keep swiping. Grevy’s zebras have no #stripes on their bellies. Scientists believe this is because it makes it much easier to target woogie-woogie-oh-yeah belly rubs for good, good boys and girls. ▫️ #franklinpark #stripes #akaXN #TheRealXN (at Franklin Park Zoo) https://www.instagram.com/p/CIVwxQTDwiL/?igshid=1n6p8acw2urcr
