Newt worked in her father’s arms shop and lived in a village surrounded by deep woods, which she really enjoyed exploring. She eventually lost something important during a trip and did the mistake to go back there at night to search for it – that’s where she met a group of robbers who took her possessions, killed her and buried the remains. Shen a traveling kitsune found her grave some day and felt sorry for her so she put her back together – piece for piece (this explains the scars) and filled her with her own spirit to give her new life.

Newt was very grateful and decided to join Shen. Together they worked as mercenaries, mainly catching robbers, thieves and murderers for money. While Shen uses her sword, shapeshifting abilities and cheap magic as weapon, Newt rarely uses her gun – her main weapon is her appearance. While she’s usually very controlled and calm, she can be cruel and terrifying when she’s hunting and literally scares her victims to death (that’s probably kind of a dealing mechanism to come to terms with her violent death or she just wants to seek revenge)

The whole group consists of Shen (Kitsune) – the leader and a swordswoman, Newt – an undead gunslinger, PoiPoi a Kappa girl who takes care of their earnings, is an excellent archer and likes to eat humans from time to time (read their wikipedia page Kappas actually do that YUM YUM x’D)

Before Nix lost her memories, Yugana had sold her to another for profit; as was her business. That individual who had made the purchase was Dottore, seeking an half oni for his cruel experimentations. Indeed, Nix was a victim of the Archon Residue experiments but was barely lucky enough to not have a god take up residence in her body. Not that it made the horrific pain she endured any less. As a result, her natural strength and endurance were vastly enhanced. It was thanks to the carelessness of one Fatui member that Nix managed to escape the facility and found shelter with Kazuko ( @viisiond​ ) before making her way across the stormy seas.  The small silver lining to Nix missing the majority of her memories is that her time in that laboratory based hell was also forgotten. Though that isn’t to say she is safe or will never recall it. Running into the twisted doctor is still a possibility and seeing him would be enough to bring those dark memories back..

“Kosui Antiques? This is the place~. What cute little trinkets! You never see things like these in Mondstadt~.” Felix looked at the well furnished establishment, walking inside to see the vast variety of expensive wares up for sale. He walked around, gazing over the items as he waited for the few customers to take their leave. Once they did, it left him and the owner of this crafty little cover business; Yugana. Little did the woman know yet but he was sent her for a very specific reason. Though she would learn quite soon. Those shopping were let completely in dark, thinking him just another visitor from across the sea. What reason did they have to suspect him of anything?

Unfortunately for Yugana, she did not know who this individual was but was closely acquainted with who he worked for. Such facts would be made clear but not in the way she would expect. Since it was just the two of them, the woman didn’t feel the need to keep her facade up too much. Not for some outsider that likely didn’t even know the value of these items. “Are you here to buy anything? I don’t have the time or patience for.. window shoppers~.”

“Oh really~? Window shopping for these paper weights?” The innocent smile on Felix’s face shifted into a cruel grin as his hand was suddenly grasping Yugana’s throat without warning. “You certainly have a lot of nerve talking to me that way.” The venom was clear in his voice as he pinned Yugana against the wall, behind a large folding screen to keep them out of view. This was the last thing the woman saw coming and it was clear in her eyes as she stared in shock, barely able to breathe. “I came here because the shipments we were promised are late. That isn’t good for business now is it~? So.. I don’t want your piss poor acting. Tell me anything other than a date on when it will arrive and I’ll rip your throat out~.” Felix pulled her closer to whisper coldly into her ear. “Don’t think for a second that you can’t be replaced. It’s just a pain in the ass to go through the trouble of getting a new source. So.. Date. Now.”

Yugana told Felix what he wanted to know and he let go of the woman, letting her gasp for her breath as he took a step. “Great! I’ll be sure to tell Innamorati and the good doctor that they won’t be waiting for long. Now.. Do this again and next time I’ll-.” His threat was cut short as he heard the shop’s door begin to open. Without missing a beat, the cheerful smile and aura returned in a blink. “You really should be careful, Miss! Even a small bite of food can get caught in your throat. Good thing I was here to help huh? I’ll be going now! Bye-bye~!” And with that, Felix took his leave, vanishing into the crowd.

There was no way.. He was supposed to be dead! Yugana had thought she’d never have to see that oni again but the rumors reached her ears. Genii was alive and somewhere in Inazuma. If that man decided to talk, he could ruin everything! Her livelihood, her business, the carefully woven facade she draped over the people, and worse.. If the Shogun were to hear about how Yugana was selling their people for profit, they would want her head! No doubt Genji would be seeking the same if he heard about how Kanna has been missing for some years now..

“I have to do something about this.. Though if he didn’t come straight here, where did he go?” Perhaps that damned dancer..

KAZUKO & GENJI.

Living wage by wage within the red light district of Inazuma (As a dancer and an escort) just to keep out of her family’s home- Kazuko soon became a well known name and favorite to the soldiers and men who passed through even if all she was doing was dancing. One night though, while performing she caught the eyes of one of the many red oni who inhabited Inazuma, a man named Genji- they didn’t do much that night, nothing intimate, nothing she didn’t want to do (Which was a first for her), they just talked. And the more they did, the more she grew to enjoy his company even if this was quite possibly a one time thing in her eyes it turned into so much more as he continued to visit... soon enough the dancer found herself falling in love with the Oni. And the more they began to know one another her suspicions were proven correct, though fate had other plans for them- and as much as she didn’t wish to become a mistress outside of his already arranged marriage (even when he told her about it) she’d accept her fate as one, it wouldn’t be the first time for her but this go-round was different... she knew he harbored love for her, and he wanted to be with her. So she allowed it to happen. Though as years went by, she found herself growing far more popular and highly requested throughout the darker streets of Inazuma- soon enough running into Genji again, this time in his arms wasn’t flowers or creations of metal- but a beautiful baby girl. Kazuko was immediately smitten with the child, always taking her from her father to hold and calm when she was crying or fussy, loving the feel of her presence and Genji’s at the same time- knowing this was what their life would have been were it not for Yugana and Genji’s predicament. It wasn’t until a couple of months later that Kazuko would receive a job offer as an entertainer aboard the Pearl Galley in Liyue, she knew it paid well but Kazuko was also young and in love- she didn’t want to leave Genji or Kanna behind at the mercy of Inazuma, so upon his next visit she suggested running away to Liyue with her, to begin anew and find a home together, maybe get married- and knowing he agreed with her just lifted her spirits even more, solidifying her decision to leave for Liyue even more than it already had been... But the day they were supposed to leave, it was Kazuko who boarded that ship alone. Finding Yugana had threatened Kanna and that Genji couldn’t leave her in Inazuma alone, Kazuko reluctantly told him to stay, Kanna needed him more than anything and that she’d wait for them in Liyue whenever they could run and join her... giving him his first proper kiss as parting with Genji giving her a butterfly pin for her hair (she now wears it against her obi- right beside her vision)- Kazuko bid him goodbye and left, the last sight of Inazuma being his back turned to go back to his child, calling out to him and telling him she loved him before they could get further away from the Ritou docks. She didn’t want him to see her tears as she bid him farewell- giving him that last look of her smile before they were far from Inazuma and en route to Liyue... And waited, she did. Kazuko waited YEARS for him to join her in Liyue but that time never came, she waited five years for him to join her unknowing what happened to him before finally returning home to Inazuma and beginning her business- she didn’t want to live somewhere she couldn’t see the man she loved or her child who she had basically taken into her life without a second thought. So she’d go back to where their story began and wait there instead... little did they know the trials that would come between them before they could ever be together permanently...

The Wulf's Eye: RP Journal #8 | Hoshi no Hunting / Onikai

This morning, Kenta didn't have any class to attend given it's the end of the week. It felt like we haven't had any one on one outside of work or training in a while, so I invited him out for breakfast in Kugane while we snag some things at the markets. He was in such high spirits, asking such innocent questions about this world he's hardly lived in. It was endearing, I love my kid brother so much.. I ended up buying him a few things he insisted I not! But I MUST spoil him!

Though, after we had our share of breakfast at the holstery, it was back to work.

Day 2 of Yugana's Hoshi no Tama situation. We returned back to the Lavender Beds where we last left the furi yokai. It had been hiding in the hole of a large tree with the tama. Myself, Sejad, Atsumori, Wisp, Brice, Yume, and Demeter later on present. My first thought was to minimize the area we were dealing with this thing. And so I proposed we used the kekkai technique we once did to capture yokai alongside the One River moons ago, between me, Sejad, and Atsumori which formed a triangle-like barrier, rather than a cube. The assistance was good, given the size of the barrier we had to make.

I tend to not be the first one to speak up on formulating a plan when I'm working with an organization that isn't mine. It's a habit of mine, and I wish not to step on toes. My brain just.. instinctively takes a situation and thinks of every possible way to deal with it before coming up with even the most bizarre of ideas. And bizarre, I did.

Given that Furi are wind-aspected yokai, I questioned, well.. what element goes against wind? Brice suggested ice. And what was more perfect than having an ice-aspected mage in our ranks. Demeter showed up just in time. And so I devised a plan: Yume shapeshifts into a female Furi, given yokai are horny. That is just fact. She lures the Furi out whilst Demeter lays out an icepath underneath the tree, and traps the Furi when it's a good distance away from the tama left inside the hole of the tree. While it is lured from the tree, I asked Brice to use his dragon wings to fly and retrieve it out of the tree. To my surprise, he forcefully took Wisp along with him.. I have to admit, that got a laugh out of me despite my intentions. Wisp was to fend off the Furi in the dragon's hold incase it caught onto us snatching Yugana's tama. Though.. the Furi had naughty plans, so I snatched up Yume in her small form just in time for Demeter to trap it with his ice.

I'm not going to lie, I'm glad they cooperated. But with our team, I could see how things could've gone south. Sure-enough, we successfully retrieved the tama safely in Wisp's hands before returning to the infirmary. It was then we quickly had it reattune to Yugana's being, given.. she was close to fading out of existence. Being separated from one's tama after a while meant death. We weren't going to let that happen.

Onikai Hunting

The day didn't end with that.. As soon as we left Yugana to recover, Eiri called for help over the pearl. 'Come to Yanxia' he said. Demeter and Brice decided to accompany me, as Eiri said the less, the better. Once we arrived, Iwao, an okami of the Vault, was seriously hurt. It seemed the Oni within Akai took over.. so we had to put a stop to it. Eiri was out of breath so I'm guessing they chased him.

Once we arrived, I charged and focused on knocking Akai unconscious in any way possible so I can forcefully pinpoint the Oni's presence within Akai's body and momentarily seal him away. He put up an incredibly fight and gave the four of us a hard time.. in the end it triggered Kage, Eiri's omukade within, to take over and cause a landslide the instant I managed to subdue Akai with my technique and an ofuda. Brice pushed us out of the way of falling rocks before we managed to talk Kage into letting Eiri take control again. Akai was back in control, as was Eiri, but as they emphasized.. we have work to discuss in the coming days.

Finally finished my betta fish inspired Piscine wyverns I was working on.(Can't wait to design armor and weapons for these 2)

Description: Piscine wyverns known for their beautiful colors and fins as well as there extreme tenacity when fighting. Their slimmer body shape makes them much more agile in land than other piscine wyverns.The elegant fins of this monster serve in both display and defense, electricity producing organs in its body store energy and send it into its fins via a special vascular system. Known to be very territorial the most aggression is surprisingly shown between males of the species, a meeting will usually result in a particularly brutal fight that will usually leave one male severely wounded.

Description: The female Counterpart to Yugana Raigyo, identified by their fan-like fins and extra gill slit. These wyverns pump ice and frost created in their body out of their gills and then use their large large pectoral and tail fins to blow it towards their enemies. These unique wyverns posses the ability to live in fresh and salt water allowing them to make their yearly migration to the Misty Peaks to breed. The Fins of this species are renowned for there beauty and come in many shapes and colors. Young specimens are often kept in wealthy individuals aquariums.

Extra Notes/Fun facts

. Yugana Raigyo is the only monster who will turf war with a member of its own species(2 males)

. Yugana Raigyo and Yugana Shimo are cabable of performing a bond attack when encountered together similar to Lunastra and Teostra.

.Both of these monsters were inspired by a different type of betta. The Male is based on a crown-tail, and the female is based on an elephant ear.

.Yugana Raigyo fights more with physical attacks, while Yugana Shimo is more range based.
