Hoshikage no Yell (NHK:asadora: GReeeeN) J-pop

He was too much of a genius, and was envied by the great composers of the time. Yuji Koseki, who made a name for himself with popular songs that were seen as low. A talent that even Ryuichi Sakamoto can't reach. His wife who supported him was also wonderful. In particular, "Iyomante no Yoru" is highly rated both at home and abroad.

Mothra's original motion picture soundtrack is available on vinyl for $40 via Waxwork Records. The score is composed by Yuji Koseki and features songs performed by The Peanuts.

The double-LP album is pressed on 180-gram “Mothra” (Disc 1: yellow and blue butterfly with white splatter; Disc 2: yellow and orange butterfly with black splatter) colored vinyl. It's housed in a gatefold jacket with matte finish featuring art by Yuko Shimizu and a 12x12 art print.

Es el primer jugador latino y apenas el segundo pelotero importado en ser exaltado al Salón de la Fama del béisbol japonés. El veterano de 18 campañas en la NPB (13 como jugador y 5 como manager), que había quedado tercero en la votación en los últimos 2 años, acumuló en esta ocasión el 81,7% de las boletas para superar el mínimo requerido para ser admitido (75%) y ganarse la inmortalidad.  Se casó además con una japonesa y tiene 4 niños. Foto Cortesía[/caption]    El venezolano Alex Ramírez hizo historia este viernes al convertirse en el primer jugador latino y apenas el segundo pelotero importado en ser exaltado al Salón de la Fama del béisbol japonés, según dio a conocer esa organización.   El veterano de 18 campañas en la NPB (13 como jugador y 5 como manager), que había quedado tercero en la votación en los últimos 2 años, acumuló en esta ocasión el 81,7% de las boletas para superar el mínimo requerido para ser admitido (75%) y ganarse la inmortalidad.    Junto a él, también fueron admitidos el estadounidense Randy Bass, quien fue seleccionado por el Comité de Expertos, y Yuji Koseki, quien fue nombrado por el Comité Especial.    Varios jugadores extranjeros han sido admitidos hasta ahora, como el legendario Sadaharu Oh -que posee nacionalidad taiwanesa- y el ruso Víctor Starffin, pero todos ellos nacieron o crecieron en Japón e ingresaron a la liga a través del Draft.    Sin embargo, en lo que a jugadores importados se refiere, que llegaron de un país foráneo para reforzar a sus respectivos equipos, sólo uno había sido exaltado hasta ahora, el hawaiano Wally Yonamine, que fue el primer extranjero en jugar en la NPB después de la Segunda Guerra Mundial.    Ramírez debutó en la NPB en 2001 con las Golondrinas de Yakult y no sólo conectó 29 jonrones y remolcó 88 carreras esa temporada, sino que además se coronó campeón de la Liga Central y de la Serie de Japón junto a sus compañeros.    Lo que en principio fue un contrato de un año se extendió a una histórica carrera de 13 campañas que lo llevó a ganar 4 títulos de empujadas, 2 de cuadrangulares, uno de promedio, 2 galardones al Jugador Más Valioso, 4 selecciones al Equipo Ideal del año y 8 participaciones en la Serie de las Estrellas.    Por si eso fuera poco, se convirtió en 2013 en el único importado en llegar a los 2.000 hits de por vida en el circuito nipón y en el segundo jugador más rápido en la historia en alcanzar esa cifra. Esa hazaña lo llevó a ser admitido al llamado Meikyukai, o Club de los Jugadores Extraordinarios, que reúne a todos los peloteros que han sumado al menos 2.000 hits, 200 victorias o 250 salvados en sus carreras en la NPB.    Adicionalmente, Ramírez es el único jugador en la historia del circuito nipón en sumar 8 temporadas consecutivas con 100 o más carreras empujadas y su racha de 985 partidos jugados de manera consecutiva entre 2004 y 2011 es la novena más larga en la liga.    A la fecha de hoy, el toletero criollo todavía lidera a todos los importados que han pasado por la NPB en juegos disputados (1.744), hits (2.017) y carreras empujadas (1.272) y además es segundo en jonrones (380). También es el único refuerzo hasta ahora en ganar más de un premio al Jugador Más Valioso.    Como si todo eso no fuera suficiente, su éxito no sólo se limita al terreno de juego. Desde que llegó a Japón en 2001 Ramírez se ha convertido en una celebridad que aparece constantemente en programas de televisión, es imagen de diversas campañas publicitarias, posee su propia línea de ropa, realiza obras de caridad y está siempre presente en las redes sociales.    Se casó además con una japonesa y tiene 4 niños que constantemente aparecen con él en todo tipo de eventos sociales, y el 23 de enero de 2019, después de un largo proceso de aplicación, se convirtió oficialmente en ciudadano japo

Night of Iyomante (J-pop)

I had a chance to listen to this song because I liked Kiriko Kubo (manga artist) who had a serialization in Big Comic Spirits, and it certainly sounded interesting. Iyomante is a ritual handed down by the Ainu people, which is solemnly performed to hunt and slaughter a bear to return its soul to the realm of the gods. The composer was Yuji Koseki（古関裕而）, a composer whose talent was unmatched even by Ryuichi Sakamoto.

ビッグコミックスピリッツに連載を持っていた玖保キリコさん（漫画家）が好きだというので、この曲を聴く機会があったが、たしかに面白い音だった。イヨマンテというのは、アイヌ民族に伝わる儀式で、熊を狩り、屠ることでその魂を神界に返すという趣旨で、厳かに行われる。作曲者は古関裕而で、坂本龍一でさえ及ばない才能を持っていた作曲家である。

The Virgin Koichi Sugiyama: Breaks Akira Ifukube’s one stipulation regarding re-using his Godzilla scores and arranges the Godzilla theme into pop music.  The Chad Toshiyuki Watanabe: Arranges Yuji Koseki’s Mothra song in a popular style, but composes original pieces otherwise, leaving Ifukube’s pieces untouched as the original composer wished. The original pieces are different, but just as memorable.

I watched Michael Dougherty's new Godzilla movie!

It was a lot of fun and I was very moved by the "Mothra’s Song" that played on the big screen of Hollywood movie.
