im annoyed now. listening to rebecca black's phenomenal boiler room set instead and then maybe I'll go watch some of the best seventeen predebut clips (obviously im talking about jihoon singing while mingyu makes bird noises and eventually raps a bit. and maybe the one where woozi pulls the guitar on mingyu thats a good one too)

insane Friday music drop tbh but some preliminary opinions:

- I can't help comparing fantasy by Jade to angel of my dreams, and fantasy isn't holding up, for me, sorry

- rockman by mk.gee, I think I need another listen but on a first pass, I always respect artists moving in new directions and creating new things left of their previous projects but I'm not instantly in love w this one

- brightness of Vega by colliding with Mars ft. brakence is my first brush w cwm but I'm really impressed

- I'm extremely excited for new Rebecca black esp after really falling into rebecca black was here and let her burn. I'm not totally sold on trust! yet tho but still look forward to the upcoming project

- kgm(irl)* by isoxo slaps supremely

- cinco de mayo shit show w Ben quad, hot mulligan, and Chris Freeman went harder than I expected truthfully. also slaps supremely

- big fan of awards season by bon Iver on sable, but I probably won't be returning to this ep... I think it's doing more than I'm recognizing right now, but I don't necessarily love the project. super interesting though, esp the choice for intro. I do need to dive deeper into the world of bon iver tho

- STRAWBERRY BY ROY BLAIR takes the cake for my favorite release, likely to go unchallenged, it goes so hard and it's really special to see the evolution of a 2 minute snippet from 2020 be complete in 2024 at just over 5 minutes with a live string outro and KILLER second verse (which had been unfilled on the ig live)
