i already hated the acronym bipoc but i just learned (some? many?) people in canada instead use ibpoc and the reasoning is uhhh. yeah its what youd expect. this is like saying out loud the quiet part of bipoc lol
#97#the first result i found upon looking it up was a group basically saying 'we dont wanna play oppression olympics.. but indigenous ppl are#more oppressed than black ppl so...'#and the second result says its bc of their apparent policy to put 'first nations first' which at this point lets just stop pretending its#about some kinda solidarity or shared oppression yea? lets just be real here.#they directly acknowledge that it DOES come from the us bipoc (which afaik was coined by two black women) and that they decided to move#black people back in the acronym. like. huh. huh. huh.#black ppl (in a way i disagree w but still) make a term to outline solidarity and shared experience.#and you take it and modify it so it puts you first and clarifies that you matter more than them?#just take the b out at this point just say what you mean.
