#i know theres only a thousand votes so far#but yall this is fucking embarassing#genuinely im so ashamed of you all#i know that shame is not that helpful in convincing people to like. learn#but my fucking god guys#how many of you can find palestine on a map?#because if you cant identify the country highlighted#im starting to think that you guys wouldnt be able to find palestine on a map#which is so fucking shameful#like i get not being able to identify every country in the world on a map#i wouldnt be able to do that#i can reliably name all of them#and i know the flags pretty well#but id struggle with a world map#however#what is happening in palestine is a massive topic right now#i dont think its unreasonable for me to expect you guys to be able to identify the countries in the SWANA region#ALSO#this site is incredibly us centric#and the us (as well as many western countries) has been meddling in the affairs of the SWANA region for several decades now#and idk if your government is doing that i think the least you could do is bloody well learn where the countries are on a map#the mens football world cup was held in qatar very recently which was a massive event also!!#its fucking insane that yall cant name this country (via @listen-to-the-inner-walrus)

By the way, this is not the time for anyone in the US to say, "They didn't teach us that in school," because that doesn't matter. You should know by actually giving a damn about the SWANA region you're supposedly an activist for.
