re tags on the new pokemon game poll:

-HGSS were 2009 so it's been 15 years since the last Johto game. Still the region we've gone the longest without a new game for, though.

-Kitakami's real-world basis (Iwate Prefecture) is closer to Sinnoh than Johto. They're actually connected by the Almia region from Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia!

Crying, 15 years without real Johto the world is so cruel. Soul Silver was my first Pokemon game and I was like. 6 or something when I got it, so 15 years tracks. Feels weird though

That's so cool that it's connected to a Ranger game!!! I'm really surprised that the Ranger games would get that little bit of spotlight (rip Pokemon Ranger you will always be famous). I should really finish playing the original game.....

The reason I thought it was maybe connected to Johto is because before release, there were some rumors that it was. And I, not really paying attention and trying to avoid spoilers, kept that in the back of mind. Because I am desperate for Johto

I recently got Scarlet, so I guess this should just encourage me to get through the game so I can learn more about Kitakami. The DLCs are what finally made me cave and get the game anyway
