Top-notch Kannada director Prashanth Neel who rose to fame with the series KGF is also contemplating on providing scripts and stories for other movies. An update from his camp reveals his unique attempt for the first time in his career. Prashanth Neel is super strong in commercial entertainers and all three blockbusters in his career have larger-than-life mass appeal. Even his ongoing and future projects are filled with heroic elevations and stuff. The director is reportedly said to have a women-centric script that was penned down by himself. Neel is providing a story and script for a female lead character-driven Pan-Indian project so that one of his associates would direct this movie. As of now, it is learned that the young character artist Adarsh Balakrishna would be the main lead and the makers are trying to rope in Deepika Padukone for the female lead character. KGF makers Hombale Films would budget this movie for their association with Neel. Neel is busy wrapping up his ongoing biggie ‘Salaar’ starring Pan Indian star Prabhas and Shruthi Haasan as leads whereas Prudhvi Raj Sukumaran and Jagapathy Babu portray crucial roles. Produced by Hombale Films, this movie would be released on 28th September worldwide. Stylish star Allu Arjun, Rakul Preet Singh and Catherine Tresa starrer action drama  Sarrainodu completed 5 years today. The movie Sarrainodu which was directed by Boyapati Srinu, was released on 22nd April 2016 and turned out a blockbuster  at the box office. Allu Arjun starrer was produced by Allu Aravind under the banner Geetha Arts and after the release it broke many records at the box office. The film also marked the first time association between the lead pair- Allu Arjun and Rakul Preet Singh.

Allu Arjun’ performance and actions sequences were the major highlights of the film. Allu arjun played  the role of  ex-military man, who beats up corrupt individuals, comes to the rescue of a village belle with whom he will be tying the knot. Sarrainodu marked the first time collaboration of Stylish Star and Boyapati who is known for making mass drama.

Sarrainodu also had Aadi Pinisetty,  Brahmanandam, Pradeep Rawat, Sai Kumar,  Jayaprakash,  Suman  and Adarsh Balakrishna in the supporting roles. Allu Arjun starrer sarrainodu was  2nd highest grossing Telugu film of 2016.

Currently Allu Arjun is working with Sukumar of Rangasthalam fame for action drama Pushpa and  Boyapati Srinu is working for Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer actioner Akhanda.

Bollywood actress Vidya Balan is set to star in a biopic on southern Indian politician NT Rama Rao.
