Helaena hadn't undressed after the funeral. Instead she hurried to her and Aegon's apartments and gathered Jaehaera, hurrying her into her bed chamber. The mild mannered girl had fallen asleep quickly, but Helaena remained, lying awake on her side, the seven year old clutched to her chest. Her eyes flick over to the midwife as she enters.

The midwife... the midwife...

With a sharp intake of breath one of her hands clutches at her stomach, looking down in horror. The events of the past two days had her so tired and horrified she'd forgotten the babe within her entirely.

"H-He - he's - he" She searches for words, eyes dancing around the room as she tries to find what she means. "H-he's okay? H-he has to be okay, I can't loose him too."

Those were strong words for someone with no claim to any throne especially when spoke in front of a Queen. Daenerys lifted a brow at the other woman trying to decide what to do with this when she had come trading originally. What was she meant to do with this when her intention was to take over the monarchy of Westeros entirely? But no really where was this coming from? She wondered what it was that the captain could gain from such a thing.

"Why do you say all of this?" The queen inquired curiously. "Are you looking to gain something from it, Captain?" If an alliance was to be made between them then it was best to speak plainly about it. So she decided to just lay it out on the table. "Are you looking to aid in my quest to reclaim my family's throne?"

Jaime looked up from where he was reattaching his armor, having shed it in order to more easily climb into the space above the stables so that they could carefully remove the latest cache of wildfyre they had found. It was the latest of many and she had been helping him for the last year to find more and more of the dangerous hordes left by Aerys’s orders. When he had found that first crate in the treasury he had never imagined that it would lead to a partnership, a comradery that he once had hoped for in the Kingsguard but had died with the Sword of the Morning and the White Bull. “I know many who would beg to differ on that description of me being an honorable man.”

It's too loud. There are too many people, all of them talking at once, all of them loud enough they might as well be inside her head. The hall grows ever more suffocating, and in turn so does her clothing feel constricting, too hot, prickling her skin. She needs to get out.

Indisposed was an acceptable reason to excuse herself from the company of others, Helaena had long since learned. The young queen knows she is meant to stay longer, but she cannot — and so she turns to her companion, speaking only loud enough as to be heard. ❝ I'm not feeling well. ❞

The tightening in her stomach released and Helaena began to pant, sweat running down the side of her face. The pain had started an hour ago and Helaena had woken up crying. She was terrified, for months she'd been ill and her belly had swollen. She'd been in pain much of the last three months, since it became obvious to everyone else that there were two babes in her belly. She'd known from the moment they told her she was to have a baby, she'd always known there was two.

Now the labor was upon her, and the pain wasn't the only thing that scared her. Labor meant people, maids coming in and out, mother, and probably maesters too. People touching her, looking under her gowns, trying to help but only compounding the panic. That anticipation was worse then the pain.

"I-I don't - I don't want them touching me!"

House Reyne had declared for Aegon and his house, and sent his daughter there in good faith, but she did not trust anyone that had been vetted by Larys. "You will be serving Helaena, as my household is currently full." Though she recognized none of them. "I trust your father explained to you how to behave around her."

The princess laughed at her cousin shaking her head at the idea of dancing randomly without a ball. It seemed so silly and yet something that had a chance of fun and yet she still stood there. She was struggling with her position of heir and her father remarrying now that he had a son she wasn't sure if it would stay the same It was true that she had been given certain reassurances, but even with those she still didn't quite feel like dancing at this moment.

"How do you know the Earth is spinning?" Rhaenyra questioned watching her and trying to feel the Earth moving below her feet. There was no feeling of anything moving other than the own sway of her body as she tried to do something that was impossible. "And why would you want to dance when there is no music?" She liked to dance as much as the next girl, but she usually preferred that there was music going on when she did. This was just too weird.

Helaena looks up from her work and considers the question. She never said much, not really, but she had been quiet since the news had been given to her that morning.

Her mother had been the first one to ask about her blood, which had confused HElaena further, but she hadn't had it, and then the Maester and some woman had been sent for. They'd asked her more questions, and then they'd touched her, and mother had told her off for screaming and fighting. Then they'd left, and mother had sat her down and told her that everything she'd been experiencing was because she was having a baby.

Her hand flits over her stomach. There was a baby in there. She'd known children usually followed marriage, and mother had told her that the baby got there by what she and Aegon did, but it didn't seem real.

"There is not much to say." She says finally. "I am going to have a baby."
