So is Caline just…not worried about Marinette at all? She was the one that she was actively targeting, but instead of being worried that Mari isn’t hurt, she’s asking about Chloe instead.

Bustier doesn't remember targeting Marinette, at most she remembers being upset with Marinette's attitude and then waking up on top of the Eiffel Tower. She could probably conclude she might've hurt Marinette, but she can't be sure (and she definitely hurt more than JUST Marinette). And now that she's awake, she knows that whatever she did, Scarlet Lady at least reversed it. Also, the general rule is that people shouldn't be blamed too harshly for what they did while an akuma (Scarlet Lady blaming Lila for what she did as Volpina was just another highlight of why Chloe is terrible).

It's not really fair to attack people for what they did under the supernatural influence of the resident super terrorist in which the person in question is essentially in a total blackout, though it's appreciated if the person apologizes anyway.

i am gonna say it

I LIKED THE FINALE

I actually quite liked it! I thought it was pretty smart, the fight was great, animation on point, AND i did like what they did with grabriel's final moments, honestly all of the interactions between mari/ladybug and gabriel were great

but i'm not gonna sit here and pretend that i liked the lack of Chat Noir IN THE FINAL BATTLE AGAINST HAWKMOTH AKA HIS FATHER

beacuse not only is he INTEGRAL to the Agreste plot, but also because Ladynoir, as partners, are at the CORE of the show and he deserved to be there

so yeah, while i am not a fan of all the ml salt in this fandom, i will not deny that there are things i didn't fully like or would have changed

that said, there were soooo many cool things about the finale and i am pretty satisfied with it and looking forward to the next season :)

I was discussing this in the server but I feel like sharing it here too.

I don’t feel like we talk about the umbrella scene enough regarding Adrien’s point of view and that’s a crime! People argue about whether the feelings he develops for Marinette are romantic or platonic in this moment but I believe that isn’t important.

What’s important is how he’s opened his heart to this stranger who assumed the worst of him and in return created a unique, unbreakable connection that he’s always dreamed of having. A friend! It was at this moment that he opened up his heart to Marinette and kept it open, evident in how he’s always tried to initiate conversation with her or interact with her with baby steps. The admiration he has of her starts from the umbrella scene and hasn’t stopped growing since that day.

I feel like it’s really beautiful. 

And I wish more people in the fandom appreciated it too.

Honestly, this scene was so Ladynoir-coded of them

sogeking and soba-mask being a superhero duo! saving the city! they get along pretty well, too! except that soba-mask (sanji) is completely head over heels for sogeking (usopp) and won't stop flirting with him despite the fact that sogeking keeps telling him he has a boyfriend (blatant lie, by the way, he's just secretly in love with his best friend who may or may not be the same guy he's literally rejecting all the time).

usopp and sanji have been best friends for a really long time, but neither of them is aware of their secret lives. usopp gave up on his crush a long time ago, but that doesn't mean he's going to be disloyal to his love. he doesn't think he'll ever be able to find somebody like sanji. sanji, on the other hand (soba-mask, to be precise) has never found somebody as special as sogeking, and even if he wants to know his true identity, they promised they would never do that. so now he settles for the time they have together saving the world, trying to prove he's worthy of his love.

the thing is (and this is the fun part) that one day soba-mask saves usopp from danger. and they start seeing each other more, somehow, to the point that they become friends. usopp can tell soba-mask about his insecurities because he only sees him as a partner, and soba-mask can open up to him about his true personality outside his flirty attitude because he only sees usopp as a friend. they end up developing feelings for each other eventually, of course, and it becomes really messy from there.

because sogeking starts to be more and more interested in soba-mask and every little, cute thing he does. he starts to move on from sanji (this is funny to witness from an outsider's perspective tho), and thinks that perhaps falling in love with his partner might not be that bad. but soba-mask tells him that he's the one moving on from him, saying that he thinks he has found a new love somewhere else and that sogeking will finally be able to be free from his flirty shenanigans (just when sogeking was starting to flirt back!!!).

they are so painfully stupid and in love it physically hurts.

Also in the solitary confinement situation, adrien constantly talked with felix(unaware he is felix) non stop even after felix fell asleep, felix now officially knows way more about adriens life than adrien himself does. He also knows how many tiles there were in the room and the lore of 12 animes start to finish. Not to mention too many details about how marinettes hair looks under moonlight or sth probably. at some point felix felt so awful for him he even stopped teasing him. Even attempted to make puns like thats how bad it was

this is way too easy for me to imagine lol. like i might even have to make a fic out of it bc i cannot get the image of adrien & felix lying awake in the dark, twin telepathizing their shared nightmares & comiserating, out of my head.

like adrien would be like "do you know he gave me a foosball table and no one to play it with" and felix would just be like "you would've lost anyway"

or felix would say "something just like this happened in the shoujo manga i'm reading" and adrien like "you read manga?" and felix: "yeah kagami made me" and adrien "nerd. anyways about demon slayer--"

and lol adrien talking about "my nightmare is of me acidentally destroying the world" and felix seeing exactly what adrien's seeing, chat blanc and dead ladybug in his arms and just being like "lol wait. wtf."

and then adrien asking why felix isn't plagued by nightmares like everyone else and felix looking at adrigami on his alliance going "well it's already real innit."

I swear to god, ya’ll gotta stop it with the freaking Alya salt. The fact that there is so few fanfics with Alya being on Marinette’s side or at least she gets a redemption and properly apologized to Marinette makes me think ya’ll don’t really understand Alya as a character and only use her as a plot device to add more drama to your prompt/fic.

The same is applied to Adrien as well.

It seems like no tag is safe from salt because I literally saw a cool prompt that was tagged Marinette sugar and it’s about Nino being the one to see through Lila’s lies and then I was slapped with the Alya salt.

I had this really weird post-vaccine fever dream back in... was it july..? 2021 and have been trying to finish it since then

The dream was about Felix giving the two rings to Adrien and telling him not to use them (?) until the time was right (what does that mean?? I don’t know! they didn’t tell me in the dream, which was quite rude tbh 😠)

BUT THEN! I had the ✨AMAZING✨ idea of turning what was going to be a simple comic into a set of (””simple””) animated gifs because I wanted to mimic the “camera movements” and the creepy atmosphere of that dream

All I could finish was this *sobs*

animation was a mistake, please someone come and kick my but so I can finally finish this someday soon lmao
