simon absolutely YEARNING for any attention he can get from ralph, he loves him to an indistinguishable extent and hes never experienced anything like it before, his world bursts with light and suddenly everything is worth cherishing a thousand times more, he cant stop the cheerful grin on his face whenever hes near ralph

he makes him flower chains, which never last long, but simon doesnt take it to heart, in his heart, ralph could never so badly upset him

ralph is completely oblivious, and simon sort of weirds him out, simon thinks ralph understands him in a way no one else does

ralph is hit with a wave of emotions after simons death, denial of course, but also love, he loved simon, he loved him too late, took his odd presence for granted

Was drawing Ralph and decided, yeah, he seems like a moth guy. Simons there too. I think they would both like moths.

( I don’t remember half of the actual descriptions of the characters… erm, so this half what was described in the book and half what I see other people do… I also accidentally made the moth absolutely massive. whoops. )

So.....I drew this for Zukaang week, and when I went to double check the prompts to remind myself which one I'd had in mind while working on it, and none of the prompts match this. And there's no free day. So I kind of fucked up. Guess I could've shared this weeks ago when I'd finished it originally; oh well.

Anyway, dandelions remind me of Zukaang. Dandelions are yellow and sunny and relate to fire in that way, but then when they become the puff balls and their seeds float on the breeze, they're like air. It's a flower that encompasses both of them.
