you probably know this, but in the early 2000's-

-There were two adaptations of Scott Pilgrim that came out in nearly the same decade. One was about self-love and becoming a better person whilst realizing the actualization of our own actions and the impact we have on others, the other was a condensed comedy about beating up a hot girl's exes. And the same guy wrote the script in both adaptations. Isn't that wild? The same guy writing two different versions of the same character.
