( NEW WANTED CONNECTION ) — one new wanted connection for a toxic on & off again relationship has been requested !
Tumblr media
⸻  ˚ 。 ⋆ :  a  ROMANTIC  connection  is  being  sought  after  in  the  form  of  toxic on and off again  for  CHARLIE WORMWOOD  (  LOGAN LERMAN  )  .  this  character  should  be  around  22-26  and  look  similar  to  jacob elordi, mason gooding, emilio sakraya, barry keoghan, any male fc utp .  if  you  wish  to  apply  for  this  connection  ,  you  DO  NOT  need  to  contact  @CHARLIE WORMWOOD ,  and  more  important  information  can  be  found  below  .
ADDITIONAL  INFO  :  so these two have been on and off for the past few years. charlie is more reserved, quiet, kind and anxious and your muse is more popular and/or the bad boy type. very much opposites attract! they've been secretly hooking up and for whatever reason your muse is nervous to tell anyone about them. (the reason why is UTP: not out yet, too concerned about their image, maybe they're afraid of their feelings for charlie, etc. this is open and we can figure it out!) charlie is definitely in love with your muse and how your muse feels is completely up to you! whether he just likes the attention, just about the sex, etc. leaving it pretty open!

Hello!! I was wondering if you have any book recommendations for Appalachian folk magic? Especially for a beginner, I’m familiar with our local “old wive’s tales” but I’d love to learn more!!
Hello there! I have answered this question before but I have some new resources so I'll list them here! It really depends on which part of Appalachia you are looking at! And if you want to dig deeper the ancestral roots of the family you are looking at. For example my family has a lot of Welsh and British influence because that was our family source so a lot of those beliefs lingered and changed throughout the years!
Someone from Pennsylvania would likely have a lot more German roots for their practice. But despite the root differences for the folklore these practices stem from they do still share a lot of connecting points! But having babbled all of that here are my favorite books on AFM specifically. (Mind you Christianity takes a super huge part in the practice so a lot of bible and doing things in threes for the Trinity is involved!)
Authors to check out:
H. Byron Ballard- A pagan who also practices AFM, from the NC side of Appalachia, a lot of people hate her writing style which is a bit ramble-y. I also dislike the term she uses for her own practice but that is a super simple and small complaint honestly. I own all of her books on the subject, which should say something.
Jake Richards - From Eastern TN like me! A lot of what he talks about are things I have seen before, and he breaks down complex concepts like burn blowing into something relatively easily understood. HOWEVER HAVING SAID THAT the author is partially Melungeon, so he does have some Hoodoo mixed in from his grandmother's side iirc? He does label these things in his works and explains that they are not for everyone which I do appreciate.
Rebecca Beyer - While vaguely Wiccan toned, which I attribute to her publishers/raising, she's a transplant to Appalachia and if you're looking for herbal information on Appalachia and to wax poetic about how even with a ton of people settling there SO MUCH of the natural herbs and plantlife still survive, read her work! Her work on foraging safely and environmentally is so SOOOOO good.
Brandon Weston - For Ozark Mountain range/German/Dutch Appalachian work! He has written quite a few books on the subject and all of them are a treat!
Roger J. Horne - For how to dig into folklore and apply it to your own practice! This author is pagan and does blend in some traditional work with the Appalachian but I do enjoy his work and how he applies folklore. This author is also FROM Appalachia which is nice to see.
INDIVIDUAL BOOKS TO READ: Appalachian Folk Healing by Jake Richards - A republication of a very old book on remedies and 'spells', while kitschy and stupidly worded, after all it was a popular book created just for sales reasons, some of these remedies are things I remember having done to me! Good for both a giggle and actual information. TW for mentions of animal parts, hunting, illnesses, the G slur, period specific phobias and racism.
Albertus Magnus - These books all supposedly written by an ancient guy, were actually mildly common on traveling salesmen's trucks and wagons. So as a result a lot of people in Appalachia had access. Like the book above it is very stupidly worded and definitely of their time. Same TW as above.
Pow-Wows or Long Lost Friend - Another Pennsylvania Dutch book! Very good and very clear.
Southern Folk Medicine - A book that breaks down a lot of common medicinal beliefs in the South which does include Appalachia! Sadly not just Appalachia but a very good book regardless. THIS BOOK MADE ME UNDERSTAND THE THEORY BEHIND BLOOD ISSUES MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE EVER HAS.
Moon Eyed People - A collection of Welsh folktales that brewed within Appalachia from Welsh immigrants. Very good book imo!
Granny Buck's Dibs and Dabs - This book is so worth the price tag! One of the more expensive books in my collection, but I'm fine with that. Granny Buck covers a lot of topics and I can feel the accent through the wording!
Signs, Cures, & Witchery - More German Appalachian stuff! This book and it's interviewees are from the Kentucky side of the mountains!
Witches, Ghost, and Signs - This book is based more in the Southern Appalachian area! Georgia, SC, NC, and TN specifically! Lots of folklore here, but does mention some not so great bits of the lore, but that is expected.
The Foxfire Books - What began as a school project exploded into a collection of true to life stories and idioms from Georgia elders within the mountains. SO SO GOOD OKAY? For everything. How to plant, hunt, make musical instruments, anything from the mountains? They cover.

Drivers Payroll, Expenses and Deductions
Drivers Payroll:
TMS systems can manage driver payroll for various pay periods such as weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.
They can handle auto recurring or amortized deductions, escrow, and more.
Payroll can be calculated based on different methods such as pay per load, pay per mile, or pay per hour.
The system can automatically calculate distances from either current GPS position or planned/previous order.
Additions and deductions will automatically appear on the pay summary screen prior to processing your paystub.
Expenses:
A TMS system offers significant cost savings for both the enterprise and the end customer.
It reduces administrative costs as TMS software makes it easy to compare carrier rates to find the best option.
Expenses related to the TMS system itself can vary. Ready-made solutions require a fixed price for every unit connected to the system.
Deductions:
Deductions management is a critical process for any business that wants to maintain a healthy cash flow and profitability.
It involves handling the process of validating disputes, modifying invoices and account statements, and effectively communicating with customers.
In recent years, businesses have started to incorporate technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the deductions management process.

new sideblog time
the plan is for this to be a place for me to collect thoughts and resources related to druidry, since i'm trying to figure out if that's a path i want to start on. atm it will be mostly reblogs.
tags:
soup.txt: original posts
.img: images, aesthetic things, that kind of vibe
druidry: things specifically to do with druidry, as opposed to:
afm: appalachian folk magic, something i'm trying to learn more about to incorporate into my practice, and feel strongly connected to bc of my family's history there
witchcraft: more general pagan/witchcraft-y things that i want to incorporate into my practice but aren't specifically druidry-related. if that makes sense
earth <3: not explicitly magic-related at all, but include vibes/attitudes i have around the environment/the earth that i feel like are important to my practice to some sense. if this doesn't make sense whoops

LEAVES’EYES – An interview with Elina Siirala
As every story and saga has its own beginning, also has alas an ending. And in this case, Leaves’ Eyes eighth full-length album “The Last Viking” released via AFM Records, represents the conclusion of the Viking’s saga, which focuses on King Hardrada. Let’s prepare for the ultimate symphonic metal adventure together with the singer Elina Siirala.
Hi Elina, welcome to Femme Metal Webzine. How are you and how life is treating you in these precarious days?
Hi and thanks for having me! It’s been a pretty crazy year for all I’m sure, but I really can’t complain as I’ve been able to continue teaching, composing and of course Leaves’ Eyes released an album plus three music videos. So it’s a lot to be happy about!
Back in October, it was released Leaves Eyes’ eighth album “The Last Viking”. What would you like to share about its general production? When did you start to collect the first ideas for it?
Once again it was a huge production and all boundaries were pushed even further with this record. The idea for the concept came already while finishing the last album.
It was all Alex’s vision and he is the one who does all the research and is of course deeply emerged into the Viking world, both historically and being part of the re-enactment scene. As a band we had a great opportunity to make a very diverse album, bring each saga to life musically and use all kinds of different instruments and elements.
I’m aware that “The Last Viking” marks the conclusion of the Vikings‘ saga. Would mind recalling us the whole concept and how “The Last Viking” connects to the whole story?
It’s true that the main character Hardrada, was killed 1066 and that marked the end of the Viking era. But the album concept starts with his death and as his life flashes before his eyes, we took all these moments and adventures to make them each to its own song. What is remarkable, is that he was in so many places during his life, so the stories are not situated only in Scandinavia.
Also, behind this monumental release, there is always an attentive work of research. I wanted to understand, from where the band starts researching and which are the main sources that are consulted?
As i mentioned earlier, this is Alex‘s territory and I know he already has a lot of knowledge of the history and sagas. But he was still doing enormous amount of research, mainly reading when he was writing the texts.
In your opinion, do you think that the whole Vikings’ saga has also influenced on your recent musical development towards a dark-pop ethnic sound?
Tosso and Alex have been the core music writing team in Leaves’ Eyes from its start and the native instruments, folk elements and orchestral parts have always been a part of the music. But as everyone, their work will always evolve over the years and I’m sure this specific topic gave a big inspiration for the writing. There are a lot of dark elements included, but also more light hearted songs with a more folky feel.
“The Last Viking” features also “Serkland” and “Black Butterfly” that were previously released from the sold-out EP “Black Butterfly”. Why did you opt to re-record these two songs?
The songs from the EP were always going to be part of the album too and we of course wanted to make special versions of them to give our fans something new to listen to. The duet with VoA‘s Clementine Delauney worked out really well and there is also always some changes in the sounds which requires revisiting older mixes to make the album sound unified.
What the future holds for Leaves Eyes’ and how the pandemic impacted your original plan?
Planning is currently challenging but we recently announced our European tour which will take place in October/November 2021. Of course this tour was originally meant to happen right after the album release so a lot of plans got cancelled and moved. We are happy that we were able to record, finish and release the album with also so many music videos. It was the plan for this year and was only slightly delayed, so it’s been a great year for the band in that sense!
So, Elina, we’re almost at the end and with this please be free to say hi to your fans and your readers. Thank you so much for this interview.
It’s been a pleasure to answer your questions and I wish everyone a great New Year! Thank you for all the support and I hope we’ll see each other on tour very soon!

Symphonic metal fire-starters Ad Infinitum continue their triumphant march to conquer your mind. The band emphasizes their magnificent mysticism by revealing an atmospheric music video for ‘Fire And Ice’, cut from their marvelous debut album Chapter I: Monarchy. The video was taken from a very special concert in order to satiate the desire for dearly missed live performances, and even showcases some exclusive behind the scenes material. The full show will be available for streaming beginning October 9. ‘Fire And Ice’ marks another epos that represents the band’s diversity and passion for what love doing the most. The energetic and equally melodic tunes of the vigorous ballad perfectly illustrate the heart-wrenching tones of Ad Infinitum. [via Metal Goddesses]

Vicious metal queen Scarlet from Sweden launched the pre-orders for her upcoming debut album Obey The Queen and presented the second single “#bossbitch’. Obey The Queen will be available on November 13 via Arising Empire. Before the album drops, Scarlet and her team send a powerful message to all the women out there through the new anthemic single: “We work really hard with the hashtag #bossbitch which is a shout out and a reminder to ALL WOMEN, regardless of genre, that we are smart, beautiful and perfect just as we are; It may seem cliché but it is needed!” [via Metal Goddesses]

Stellaris is a Prague-based melodic metalcore band. The current members are Nicol – vocalist, Milpi – guitarist, Pedro – bassist and Jamie – drummer. Even though they hit the stage at the beginning of this year, they are working hard on their skills and music, and that is why Stellaris decided to shoot a video clip. “And this is only the beginning of our story,” says the band. Stellaris on their debut single: “’Find Your Course’ is about the never-ending journey of searching for the right direction of our lives. That is why we used a compass in a video, which is supposed to symbolize a tool for finding our way. You can find a lot of metaphors in the lyrics so everyone can find their own meaning of the song.” [via Metal Goddesses]

Mercedes Lander is best known as the drummer of long-running Canadian metal outfit Kittie, but with her current project, the White Swan, which formed in 2016, she's stepped out from behind the kit to sing and play guitar and keyboards as well as to drum. Sonically, the trio is a far cry from her more famous band's Ozzfest-honed attack, specializing in a gauzy, atmospheric brand of sludgy doomgaze that would be more at home on the stages of Roadburn. The London, Ontario-based group — which also features guitarist Shane Jeffers (Bloodmoon Collective) and bassist Kira Longeuay — is gearing up to drop its fourth EP, Nocturnal Transmission, this fall, both digitally and on limited-edition vinyl, the latter via War Crime Recordings. The White Swan teamed with Revolver to unleash the record's opening track and lead single, ‘In Love and Ritual.’ Check out the crushing, lysergic love song above, along with its striking, black-and-white music video. "'In Love and Ritual' is about finding the person that completes you and the journey of realizing how having that person in your life teaches us to become brand new," Lander tells us, "kind of like a rebirth of feeling and emotional connection. I really wanted to create space with this song, keeping the roller coaster of dynamics in the forefront with a touch of chaos running in the background. Having the lyrics and melody build with the music and really complement each other." [via Revolver]

( NEW WANTED CONNECTION ) — one new wanted connection for valerie's sugar daddy's actual kid has been requested !
Tumblr media
⸻˚ 。 ⋆ : an ADVERSARIAL connection is being sought after in the form of her sugar daddy’s actual kid  for  VALERIE LÊ (LANA CONDOR) this character should be around 19-27 and look similar to UTP. if you wish to apply for this connection, you DO NOT need to contact @OF-VALERIE and more information can be found below
Valerie is both a) broke and b) enterprising and that led her to doing sex work before she got in with the Order of Soros and didn’t have to worry as much about money. She had an onlyfans, but eventually branched out into sugaring when this muse’s father offered her a lot of money for what was (comparatively) very little work. The sugar daddy takes this relationship very seriously, but it is just a business relationship and nothing more for Valerie—though she didn’t do much to discourage the man’s fantasies as that would have been bad for her bottom line.
Eventually, sugar daddy got it in his head that he should introduce his new girlfriend to his actual children, including this muse. A family dinner was arranged, and your muse was shocked to see that the woman their dad was gushing about was their age—or younger! They stormed out of the restaurant, relationship severely damaged.
To their surprise (and horror!) it turns out they share a class with their dad’s “girlfriend,” who uses an entirely different name out in the real world. Valerie doesn’t want to be the one to bring it up, but the whole situation is so damn awkward… surely the ice has to get broken somehow?

Kelvin Probes and Work Function Difference
Tumblr media
Kelvin probe techniques are used to measure the work functions of materials. These techniques are applied successfully in surface science under UHV conditions. For example, if you want to study the adsorption of molecular or reconstruction processes of single-crystal surfaces, that will cause a change in surface or dipole potential. Recently, Kelvin probes have been applied to corrosion science and found to be highly successful. This probe is named after Lord Kelvin.
What is Kelvin Probe?
The Kelvin Probes are a non-contact and non-destructive calculative device used to investigate the properties of the materials. Here, the probe is based on the vibrating capacitor and calculates the work function difference. In the case of non-metals, it is surface potential and in between a conducting specimen & vibrating tip. The work function is a sensitive indicator of surface condition and is affected by the following:
·         Absorbed layers
·         Surface Reconstruction
·         Surface Charging
·         Oxide Layer Imperfections
·         Surface & bulk contamination
What is Kelvin probe force microscopy (KPFM)?
KPFM or Kelvin probe force microscopy is known as surface potential microscopy and it is also a non-contact type of atomic force microscopy (AFM). These techniques are mainly used for measuring corrosion and coatings. The work function of the surfaces is measured either in atomic or molecular scales. The work function is related to the following surface phenomena:
·         Catalytic Activity
·         Reconstruction of surfaces
·         Doping and band-bending of semi-conductors
·         Charge tapping & Corrosion
The work function map generated by KPFM provides information about the composition and electronic local structures on the surface of a solid. Equip Test provides Kelvin Test Probes with following features:
1.       4 wire measurement
2.       Industrial solution
3.       Easy integration
As the Kelvin probes (KP) techniques find the Contact Potential Difference (CPD) between two surfaces that are in close proximity. In the 1st case, there will be two metals, but there is no electrical connection between them. In the second case, as the two metal pieces are connected by an electrical wire, here the electrons with a smaller work function will travel to the metal with a larger work function. As a result that, the metal with a smaller work function is to be charged with positive whereas others would be charged negatively. This will create electric potential between the two metals as their electronic state is changed relative to each other.

Rights Clearance Advertisement Different Types Of Master Recording
In the current music industry, licensing your music has proved as one of the best ways to make money for artists. If you want to make this process smooth, it’s important to understand the role of a music supervisor and to prepare your music accordingly.
Choosing the right music supervisor will ensure rights clearance advertising for different types of master recording advertising.
Getting your music licensed for use in TV, advertising, films, movie trailers, and video games are a great way to turn your music set into a lucrative form of income. If you want to license your music and tap this revenue stream, you must be aware of the goals of music supervisors to boost your chances of getting licensed and perform these preparatory steps to help you move immediately on licensing opportunities when they arrive.
You can learn more about the musician's "new use" and "re-use" fees and how they relate to music used in your ad campaign. If you intend to license a song/track for your spot, you might be confused about musician's union back-end fees. People often ask that their production is non-union, thus are they liable to pay the musician's "new use" and "re-use" fees? Depending on the situation there are different answers to the question. In different scenarios with regard to your obligations to pay musician's fees, which is connected to the master license terms and conditions that the label will issue to you.
In Scenario 1 if you license a track that was recorded in the US and it was recorded under an American Federation of Musicians (AFM) commercial contract — (and that contract can be found by the AFM!) — and the labels master license requires these payments as part of your user agreement, then you must pay regardless of the union status of your company or production.
Scenario 2 is about the track that was recorded in the US, but there is no contract, the producer is off the hook for payments to musicians. The AFM must provide the producer with evidence that there was, in fact, an original session report.
While in Scenario 3 if there is a particular track having an original session report, but it cannot be found within the timeline of your first broadcast airing and/or exhibition schedule. The unions retain the right to come back to the producer if and when a session report is found and demand payment.

Park Systems Can Help You Find Bespoke Solutions to Answer to Your Unique Needs
As a leader in its field making a global impact through its wide network of international offices, Park Systems offers solutions beyond the expectations of their clients. The team of experts brings a range of easy customisable AFMs which can deliver according to your unique needs and bring the solutions you desire. One part of the device where they can make several modifications to find a design which best answer to your needs is when it comes to the head holding the AFM probe. Park Systems offers a range of variations on probe heads and while these bring the much-needed flexibility to create bespoke solutions, they all feature the following beneficial attributes.
The head of your AFM is responsible to hold the highly specialised probe in place to deliver absolute accuracy and precision during the scanning process. These heads should be able to react quickly to changes in its Z scanner movements and clients should be able to upgrade these heads with minimal effort to adapt to various options and modes.
One of the benefits on their list of solutions is the independent scanner. With the specific scanner, the head holding the probe is on the Z scanner functioning independently from the XY scanner. As the Z scanner moves completely independently from the XY scanner it enables the Park AFM to react much quicker to changes the height at which the device is scanning. The specific solution also eliminates the possibility of XY-Z crosstalk which often occurs when clients rely on XYZ tube scanners.
Park Systems can also assist to adjust the resonant frequency. The solution the team offers with their dedicated flexure-guided scanner is a much faster scanning rate than what tube-based scanners can ever deliver. This increased scanning speed plays a vital role in the resonant frequency of the Z scanner which then delivers better feedback performance of the AFM topography measurement.
The AFM head which Park System supplies to their clients has a build-in revolutionary cantilever deflection detection system. The highly advanced cantilever system provides for much more accurate topographic spectroscopic measurements. The head monitors the accuracy of the interaction between the probe and the surface with a light beam sourced by either a laser of a light-emitting diode. Lasers are however prone to the influence from the interference of artefacts and therefore the much more preferred option for a light source is a super-luminescent diode. These provide for far greater accuracy in F-d spectroscopic and topographic measurements.
Clients of the leading provider in the industry have a choice of more than eight different kinds of heads when they need to find the perfect solution to hold the atomic force microscope probe needed for accuracy in their work and precision in the results they want to obtain.
Some of these heads include the Standard NX AFM Head. The specific head has a Z scan range of 15 µm. It has multiply-stacked piezoelectric stacks which drive the flexure-guided structure. Other features of the specific probe head include a low coherent SLD which is available at 830 nm for the cantilever deflection detection. One of the concerns of most clients, in general, is the amount of effort it would take to mount or remove these probes. It can in some cases be a highly time-consuming task. Yet, this is not the case when you opt for the specific head from Park Systems. The head comes with a slide-to-connect head mount which ensures that you can enjoy easy and quick removal and mounting of your device.
This is merely one of the many outstanding solutions the reputable brand offers, a way how they make it possible for their clients to have solutions which perfectly suit their needs.

Following Up at the American Film Market - Making It Happen
I've attended numerous American Film Markets and this year's event was another success. It's a market that's alive with sellers, buyers, and promoters bartering for placement in distributor's catalogs. It's a marketplace where producers are avilable on Followers Australia and sales companies license films to distributors and this year they had over 2,000 New Films and Projects, over 1,000 Distributors and over 400 Production Companies. The market was based at the Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel and for screenings; it used conference rooms and movie theatres in the nearby area.
Tumblr media
For struggling filmmakers and screenwriters, AFM offers opportunities for networking, project financing, and distribution. However, to do this in a proficient manner takes considerable planning. One must have a succinct coherent presentation whether it's a project in development, a proposed script or a completed film.
So you get a meeting, maybe meet a contact where possibilities exist. You make a pitch and receive interest. What do you do? Following up is where most attendees fail. They become frozen with indecision. One should look on follow-up as an extension of networking. Networking is the means by which we engage new business friends, seek out innovative and fresh ideas, locate useful information, and foster connections that can grow into lasting partnerships. Follow up is the means by which we continue the networking relationship. Without it, the relationship dies of neglect.
Another caveat is that the person doesn't have a clear idea about what they want to accomplish. Could it be financing, distribution, or a co-production deal? Could it be feedback on a story idea? Defining the end goal greatly assists how you do your presentation and what actions you take in your follow-up. Another factor is the size of your goal. Big goals usually lead to procrastination, as it's almost impossible to get a handle on how to proceed with cumbersome objectives. Think of immediate goals that will have an impact on your connection. What can you do now to extend the relationship? Long-term goals progress out of intermediate goals and will likely lead your final objectives.
Tom Molloy, a film-financing consultant wrote in his email blast that he had given out hundreds of business cards and only a few had taken the time to respond with a follow-up. Thus, it's not just a matter of confirming the connection, it's a matter of continuing the relationship. Give it energy to make it grow. That requires continuing the dialogue, the conversation and giving inertia to what you were discussing.
To spend hundreds of dollars on fees, plus the time attending events, networking and collecting business cards; it's a waste if you don't make something happen. This could be with your career, your project, or gaining valuable information that makes you better at your profession. Following up leverages your time and investment. It creates more opportunities.
Here are some tips on following up whether it is by phone or email.
1.     Express appreciation and acknowledge what was accomplished.
2.     Amplify on things discussed during your meeting. Add something new.

Facebook Sued By Dutch Media Tycoon Over Scam Bitcoin Ads
Facebook is being sued by Dutch media tycoon, John de Mol, for posting fraudulent Bitcoin ads that listed him as an investor.
Billionaire Claims Facebook Turns a Blind Eye to Scams
On Wednesday, Reuters reported that John de Mol, the billionaire businessman behind the popular reality TV show ‘ Big Brother’ was suing Facebook for publishing false advertisements which used his name to carry out Bitcoin-related investment fraud.
De Mol’s legal representatives told an Amsterdam District Court judge that Facebook did not diligently vet the authenticity of the ads and that the company had not exerted any urgency in addressing the issue. De Mol’s lawyers also complained that Facebook had not responded to De Mol’s complaints appropriately.
The advertisements promoted an investment scheme which encouraged participants to send money to purchase bitcoin at lucrative rates and to also invest in fake cryptocurrency-oriented startups, which were supposedly endorsed and backed by De Mol.
De Mol’s lawyers are asking that the court require Facebook to amend its listing algorithm to block any ads that feature De Mol. They stressed that the fake adverts were damaging to De Mol’s reputation.
De Mol’s lawyers also claimed that naive investors were purloined out of 1.7 million euros by the ads. They pointed out that he was not the only Dutch celebrity whose person was used as a front for fraudulent investment schemes.
Facebook Says ‘We’re Working on It’
Facebook lawyer, Jens van den Brink countered that the tech giant is unable to monitor every ad placed on its platform in realtime. Van den Brink claims that the fraudulent company and its ad content were deleted shortly after Facebook was informed of De Mol’s complaints.
According to Van den Brink, Facebook also met with the Dutch financial markets regulator (AFM) to determine new methods for preventing scammers from posting fake ads.
Many are of the opinion that Facebook’s current system of relying on users to self-report unauthentic content is insufficient and lawyer Jacqueline Schaap said,
I don’t know what reality Facebook lives in, but that doesn’t work.
Schaap suggested that Facebook should enact “pre-emptive action to block such ads” and De Mol’s lawyers want Facebook to hand over all information about those behind the fraudulent investment schemes to the local police.
The Case Continues
The judge overseeing the case asked Van den Brink pointed questions about Facebook’s ad vetting procedures and also dug into whether the company actually checks the content of the landing pages that advertisements are connected to. Van den Brink confirmed that the company does thoroughly vet content but also admitted that the software can be duped by advertisers who alter links in their ads or disguise their content.
Facebook manager Rob Leathern told reporters that the social media giant is working to weed out fraudulent advertisements but “the people who push these kinds of ads are persistent, they are well-funded and they are constantly evolving their deceptive tactics to get around our systems.”
As the hearing wrapped up, Judge Dudok de Heel declined to set a date to rule on the case and suggested that there is the possibility of both sides reaching some sort of agreement.
Just last month, Bitcoinist reported that Facebook has eased its restrictions on certain cryptocurrency-related ads to make way for its own ‘cryptocurrency’ dubbed GlobalCoin.

( NEW WANTED CONNECTION ) — one new wanted connection for an unwitting mentor has been requested !
Tumblr media
⸻ ˚ 。 ⋆ :a PLATONIC / ADVERSARIAL(?) connection is being sought after in the form of  unwitting mentor  for  VALERIE LÊ (LANA CONDOR) this character should be around 21-25 and look similar to Angourie Rice, Sydney Sweeney, Kiernan Shipka, Madelyn Cline, or any other thin, white or white passing, conventionally feminine face. if you wish to apply for this connection, you DO NOT need to contact @OF-VALERIE and more information can be found below:
Basically, Valerie comes from a lower socioeconomic class than she lets on and only passes as being the sort of person who fits in with Atherton and its secret societies by mimicking this character’s fashion, mannerisms, etc. Valerie looks up to them and sees them as the platonic ideal of wealthy womanhood—someone she wants to be.
The two were (or are) very good friends. This muse probably helped Valerie get the connections necessary to get into the Order of Soros and Valerie helps them out with their academics.
The mimicry could be something this muse has noticed, or they could be oblivious. If they’ve noticed, they could be creeped out, flattered, or planning to use this admiration to manipulate Valerie.
