I’m pretty certain @/jyedthrry6 is a bot, they were uploading commonly reposted text posts, until somehow stumbling into lifting from my account. I think the give away to em being a bot is how they’ve reposted not just my comics, but my patreon announcement images, and images I shared on ask replies, so the same cropped images just on its own

My suggestion is just to report them for spam, cause I think it is a legit spam bot who accidentally got wind of my work 🙏🏾

Idrc either way and in my experience dreblr has been some of the best about reblogging compared to other fandoms but ya know, just to be aware why you might see reblogs>likes on someone's post

I had today off work so I spent all of it out of town with my wife, then had dinner with my dad who I haven't seen in six months. It was a nice break from the everloving bullshit I've had to deal with these past few days, and tomorrow and Thursday I'm doing some extra shifts to facilitate some pride celebrations with my clients, which I'm really excited about. Not to mention how many people have come in droves to support me after being smeared yet again.

I used today to disconnect and give it some thought, and I decided I will not let these people (or, person, really, because I'm almost certain I know who it is) win. I will not let them drive me out of the yugioh fandom. I will continue to defend myself if they keep trying to frame me for things I didn't do, and most of all I will keep writing for the series because it makes me fucking happy to do so, and I refuse to let this person ruin it for me. They've taken so much from me already, I WILL NOT let them take this too.

I'm going to try and open up Philosophy tonight and work on the new chapter. I refuse to let this person taint my proudest work for me. Hopefully I will have an update for you all on the sooner side.

Look, I get it. I used to think seeing opinions I didn't agree with was important, that exposing myself was a way of staying informed. But finally, I hit a breaking point - I already knew the viewpoints I disagreed with, and seeing them every day was making me miserable.

I've blocked liberally since then.

And the most remarkable thing happened: I routinely see posts where lots of people are disagreeing with the same person...and I already have that person blocked.

Because the most insidious thing about letting myself see the negativity and things that made me unhappy all the time is that leaving it all there gave me the impression that there were a LOT of vocally awful people saying things that hurt me.

But there aren't.

There's actually a surprisingly small number of people who get off on trolling or are so marinated in hate that they have to spew it all around them, and when you block those people, the world gets much more peaceful.

You're not growing as a person by exposing yourself to rhetoric that hurts you. You're just hurting, which is exactly how those people want you to feel: they want you to be in as much agony as they are.

Don't give them the satisfaction.

some people genuinely just enjoy being antagonistic and being kind of shitty. i very likely have a deeper insight into this than a lot of people because one of our parts/alters is like that lmao. he just thinks it's fun to mess with people and make people get reactive, and will continue to engage until he's bored and then he just... moves on with his day.

throwing up bc the first thing i saw when i woke up is a post from some person REBLOGGING someone else's fic and ranting about how the characterization is terrible. i had a look at the person's blog and they had several posts about other characters, basically just ranting about how people who characterize them certain ways are awful and wrong and should stop posting their content or wtv. and obv the first and last interaction I'm going to have with this person is blocking them, so that they don't have the opportunity to reblog one of MY works and tell me that MY fanfiction is wrong. but how was this supported? how were there people in the notes agreeing with their sentiments?

there's a difference between extremely problematic content that isn't properly tagged, and characterization preferences. it's actually fine to reduce characters down to a few personality traits, it's actually fine to reject source material. please let people write what they want. and don't reblog it with unsolicited criticism 😭 if you prefer something else for a character.... WRITE IT YOURSELF <3
