reminder to the fandom that pip's younger brother josh is mixed race!!

i saw a photo of emma myers on an ig fanpage last week where she was with a boy who looked about nine or ten, and even though the caption said that this was a fan, people in the comments were like "omg, i thought this was josh!" and "this is exactly how i pictured josh!" this boy was white.

JOSH IS MIXED RACE!!!

yes, pip is white, because both her biological parents are, but after her dad died when she was a baby, her mum marries victor who is nigerian, and they have josh. this is established very early in the first book, so i don't know why people are whitewashing characters that are people of colour in canon.

i don't say this with any malice, but i was genuinely surprised to see those people's comments, so please be considerate if you are doing any fanart or fanfic for agggtm.
