For @andromedagarcia with all my heart ♥️ (thank you @all-mad-hare for organizing this event)
A story about Andro The Jabberwocky and Airi the White Rabbit, set in the frabjously dark Wonderland AU (special thanks to @somatheking and @prosopagn0sis )
Tumblr media
“And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”
He chortled in his joy.
Jabberwocky by Lewis Carroll
It’s late, it’s so late… I’m running late.
That was the first conscious thought she could hold on to. That sense of urgency. She opened her eyes to find herself lying down amidst a field of withered roses.
Airi sat up and looked around her, trying to ascertain where she was; she took a closer look at the rose bushes and realized the roses were not withered, they were coated with something dark, dripping. She was just outside the Red Queen’s castle then. Airi sighed, her head was still spinning, her head. Was not entirely attached to her shoulders. Then she remembered.
Ah, yes. The beheading. Poorly done, to boot. So the Red Queen’s soldiers had got to her after all. She shook her head in disapproval but had to stop almost immediately to stop the wobbling.
She stood up and tied her scarf tighter around her neck. She ran her fingers through her long white hair to brush out the dead leaves, there was not much she could do about the dirt sticking to it, a royal messenger shouldn’t be so disheveled but that would have to do for now, there was no more time.
Airi dusted her skirt, patted the pockets of her velvet waistcoat and took out her pocket watch. When had she got those things? Who knew, but they felt hers like nothing else did at the moment.
‘The key, where is the key?’ she asked herself and stole another glance at her watch. I’m definitely late, but what for?
She heard a noise and leapt out of the path just in time.
Two of the Red Queen’s soldiers went by, haphazardly throwing blood over the rose bushes. Maybe that was the reason behind all the recent executions, not to pursue a twisted idea of justice but to have fresh blood to paint the roses red.
Because the Red Queen’s roses had been red on their own for a while, but when the King of Hearts gave his Heart to the White Queen, all the roses had started blooming white. And that was not to be tolerated.
The Red Queen had ordered the roses to be painted red, and her soldiers worked night and day to fulfill her command; but there was not enough red paint in her court to keep hiding the truth. So she turned to bloodier means. The roses withered when the blood clotted on their petals, but the new buds still bloomed white.
Airi smiled sadly, so much blood, so many tears. A pool of tears, a sea of blood. Love turning to hate, to despair, to grief.
Flashes of images ran through her head. The Red Queen’s Rage. The King being led to yet another execution. All that blood. The failed secret mission. The White Queen… What had happened to her?
She closed her eyes, forcing herself to remember. Airi had found the remains, she had told someone that the White Queen should have them, and then? Rumor had it she kept them with her at all times. The corpses. But they hadn’t always been corpses, they had once been her beloved siblings.
A pang of guilt wracked Airi. Andrómeda The Jabberwock had definitely not been a corpse when they had plotted to assassinate the Red Queen.
The fearsome Jabberwock wouldn’t have gotten involved at all, Court matters—even Royal affairs—were beneath her attention. Andro was a soldier, a fighter, an assassin. She did what she had to do and she kept her distance from everything, from everyone. A monster, they called her (ah, but Andro was much more than that). But this was her sister, and seeing The White Queen suffering, caught in a cycle of hope and grief and slowly losing her mind over it had been what pushed Andro to consider desperate measures.
‘The Red Queen must pay,’ Andro had said, her lustrous black wings extended menacingly. The meaning behind her words clear to everyone at the private council: The Red Queen must die. ‘Off with her head.’
‘Off with her head,’ her brother declared even before the Plan had been planned. If only he’d known that would be his death sentence.
Sensing their resolve, Airi had spoken. ‘I might know a way.’ And a way she had shared with them. ‘Take the vorpal sword. Take my pocket watch. Follow the ticking and find her as she takes her evening stroll in her favorite garden, and then.’ Airi stopped for a moment, shoving aside the word ‘Treason’ that was running through her mind. ‘Off with her head.’
‘I could just kill her at her next croquet game,’ Andro hissed, flapping her wings, dragging sharp claws across the table.
Airi shook her head. ‘You would have all her soldiers after you a minute later. Get her alone. The soldiers won’t know what to do.’ Treason threatened to throttle her, but Airi pushed the Word aside again.
As if the Jabberwocky could read her thoughts, Andro spoke. ‘We are doing this for our sister, The White Queen. But you? Why are you plotting against your Queen?’
‘I am loyal to the Court of Hearts,’ Airi recited. ‘And the Heart of the Court is no longer with the Red Queen. Just ask the Roses.’
Andro muttered something under her breath but said no more, apparently satisfied with the explanation. The Plan had been planned, regicide plotted over cold tea. They bid each other farewell, not knowing it would be the farewell for good.
The Red Queen had strolled, the pocket watch had ticked and Andro had used the vorpal sword. To no effect. The Red Queen had come out victorious. She tore the Jabberwocky’s wings and slain her and her brother in retaliation.
Airi had found their mangled bodies. She took back her pocket watch, her face—and its face—wet with tears. She sent a message to someone who could take the bodies back to the White Queen and vowed to help whoever dared challenge the Red Queen next. For the King, for the Jabberwocky, for all of them.
Then she’d been caught. And now…
Airi wanted to keep digging into her memories, but she couldn’t, there was no time.
The ticking sound of her watch brought her out of her reverie. It was very important that she hurry now. She had to find Cheshire… why?
It had to do with the King, somehow, but It had escaped her mind again.
Ah, well. Best to get going. Maybe if she walked fast enough, It would come back to her. And if It didn’t, well, perhaps she would find a tea party to join.

Gay AF questions
🍋 Have they ever dealt with homophobia? If so, how?
|| ooc ; yes, Hinata has definitely dealt with Homophobia a lot growing up. Although his parents were .. fine with Hinata being trans, their words were ‘ if you’re was going to pretend to be a guy, at least act like one ‘. They expected him to half a girlfriend and had many more expectations of him. His father even said once in passing that he should take him to a club and learn how to be a real man and find a girlfriend.
The elders of the socialite world and classmates weren’t all that nice to him either. But he was used to it enough that honestly he tried not to let it get to him as much

Questions for the Mun!
3. whose writing has impacted your writing style the most? (you can choose anyone! famous writer or not.)
— is it too cheesy to say @andromedagarcia ? I feel like writing with her has helped me so much ( mostly because her writing is >>> and when she gives replies, I wanna match them as best I can. Making me actually think (/j) ). And I’ve been told that my writing has improved so sgaksgsk sobbing
5. is there a muse you really want to try? if yes: how do you feel about reblog karma?
— uh.. for Alice in Borderlands— not really? I’m not usually one to do Canon characters, mainly because I fear that mine will be terribly ooc 😂 but thinking about it, I bet Kuina would be one I’d choose
But besides AIB, I’ve been thinking about doing Karlach from BG3. Her personality is really fun to do (I’ve been playing her in a personal rp)
With Reblog Karma, I mean I never do it (Though I really should start doing it). I don’t really care if people reblog from me, and don’t send something in :)) it’d be nice, but not required
7. describe your favorite relationship dynamic. (can be any kind, platonic, romantic, familial, antagonistic, etc.)
— I have so many?? And so many that I’m blanking on my actual favorites oh my god. Maybe I should sleep.
Anyways. I love found family for familial/platonic. It’s so sweet, and people from different backgrounds and places and stuff just coming together and exuding that they find comfort in a group of rag tags?? Soft. Adorable.
Romantic, I think definitely one of my favorites is a kinda red flag one which is ‘Id do anything for you’ dynamic. Where two people are in love (or even.. unreq. Love) and one person loves them so much that there is nothing they wouldn’t do for their love? I’ve come to realize I tend to put that a lot in my OCs (Hinata, Caspian, Arin, etc..)
OH YEAH. And Grumpy x Sunshine. Simple. I love it. Also Moon x Sun dynamics. Would kill for them. Sobbing.
11. describe your ideal outcome/endgame for the muse you are currently writing. if you are a multimuse blog: do this for your current favorite muse, or the muse of the last reply you posted.
— as much as I love an ending fix it canon where Takeru somehow survive and all three of them heal after the events of the borderlands, it’s not my ideal ending for Hinata
There are so many endings I’ve dabbled in for Hinata, but the one I’ve written for his Canon is that after the events of the borderlands— it’s rough at first.
Aguni is in a Coma, Takeru and Emiko are dead, and his parents aren’t any better. His father is still distant as even and his mother is clinging onto him— because of guilt and the fact that her favorite child is dead. Hinata also has to get adjusted to only seeing out one eye, and having a scar (God, he already saw a column in the magazine talking about it).
He feels truly alone at first. But then, during his stay at the hospital visit, he makes friends with people (The really pretty girl with dreads— they have something in common, the shaggy haired boy who lost his friends as well during the meteor, and a individual who was kind to them when they ran into eachother.. and had pretty tattoos.)
I imagine Aguni is in a coma for at least a year or so. Hinata comes to visit him once a week and tells him about what had happened (“I found out Senshi— the tattoo person, was actually looking for their sister. We actually found her too, in the hospital when we were staying here! “ “Also, this other girl sometimes visits you too.. she seems pretty cool, and has a cool prosthetic. I wonder how she knows you..”)
Eventually Aguni wakes up, learns about everything, and the two of them work on healing. Leaning on eachother for support when things gets bad, and visiting Takeru’s grave. I think also, Hinata stopped celebrating his birthday at first— and only would visit Takeru and stuff, but slowly starts doing both. As a tribute. Maybe even Hinata opens up the bookstore/cafe he had dreamed when he was younger.
Ohp that was a lotta words lol.

ooc: just something I wanted to say. This will be short and sweet (or thereabouts):
I am not new to fandom, I've been a part of different fandoms for almost a decade. However, I am fairly new to RP.
I am a fic writer, so working "alone" is what I'm used to. That said, I've never felt more creative than when I started writing with other people, so I am enjoying this rp experience very much, and I will always be grateful to the lovely person who made me join the rp side of the aib fandom (I'm not tagging anyone, but if they're reading this, you know who you are).
If you feel left out or excluded, my advice is: Don't Take It Personally. Because 99.9% of the time it's not. There are real people behind every character, with lives outside of tumblr, and they have good days and bad days and all sorts of reasons why they might have missed your posts.
I am only talking about my experience and how it is for me: I am shy, a textbook introvert. It took me forever to reach out to people, because I felt intimidated (and I do want to clarify that I made myself feel like that, it wasn't because of anything they did or posted) and guess what? They were nice and welcoming and overall amazing people.
So.
Curate your own experience. If you want to interact with someone, don't be afraid to reach out. If you don't get the response you expected, don't take it personally and don't feel disheartened. If someone is actually rude to you, block them. Fandom is meant to be fun.
And to the fantastic people who organize events, who send memes, who comment on posts, who create art, who write... thanks for keeping this fandom alive.
